I waited for a 6 piece nuggets for over 15 minutes. The cashier was standing around for over 5 min. There were lots of nuggets available and made.....After 8 minutes I asked for her to help and she just looked at me. Eventually the supervisor asks her to go to the drive thru to deliver something because she had nothing to do.....a few minutes later the supervisor asks what I'm waiting for and hands me the chicken nuggets. On our way home from Syracuse, NY, to Brooklyn, my husband and I stopped at this McDonald's. We went through the drive-thru and received our meal. The fries were hot, but not quite the way my husband likes them. I parked the car and went inside to request hotter fries. The manager kindly and quickly accommodated my request, letting me know it would be about three minutes. I returned to the car to wait, but a bee flew inside with me. I was stung -- my first bee sting -- and panicked. I went back inside, and the staff, under the direction of the manager, immediately gave me a latex glove filled with ice to help with the sting. They handed me my fresh fries and the ice glove so I could return to my car. I truly appreciate how kind and helpful they were. They didn't have to go out of their way to assist me, especially since I had returned fries, but they did so with warmth and professionalism. McDonald's in Monticello NY by far makes the best frappe! I'm a mocha frappe junkie and every other McDonald's it's milky and runny like a dam shake! I literally go out of my way to drive to Monticello just to get one every week. They should give frappe lessons to every other dang McDonald's out there.. If you want a frozen frappe (how they should be) drive to Monticello... Not to mention the employees are all super nice. Best McDonald's I've been too literally ever. I ordered a fish sandwich and headed for the highway. Once on route 17 I took a bite of the sandwich. To my surprise it did not have any cheese or tartar sauce. Unless your health demands a PLAIN fish sandwich it is something to avoid because it's doesn't taste very good. I got off the next exit and circled back. I asked for the manager and told him what happen. He said it was a mistake and gave me a correct fish sandwich. To the owner of this McDonald's, please have a manager that can train his staff to give the correct order to his customers. There is a very simple formula for McDonalds. Serve hot and fresh food at reasonable prices and people will be happy and come back for more. Everything item is timed and clearly outlined how long an item can sit on the shelf before it becomes "old food." With that said, there is very little that can go wrong as long as you're greeted well and given the proper order. I liked this location. It was an easy access off the main road with plenty of parking. The building itself was very big and of course, with all the windows, very bright. I like the fact that as they redo the older restaurants they're now fitted with round table and chairs... space permitting. Just because you're sitting in a McDonalds, You no longer feel like you're in a McDonalds. It was a large restaurant with the automated ordering kiosks if you preferred. You can just see the way these restaurants are going. I chose to order from a live person who was very helpful and pleasant. Since they did not have the items ready. (Remember, they're always working to keep the food fresh.) She gave us a number, and let us know that they would bring the meal to the table. I must admit, this made a HUGE difference. We only ordered a box of nuggets but they were hot and fresh. What an incredible difference to the taste and texture. Bottom line is that I like this location, the people and food. read more

Pleasant young lady was kind enough to make sure we were aware of the "buy one, get one more for $1" deal. Eat-in order ready quickly, completely correct, food was tasty. Placed a mobile order for an unsweetened iced tea in the mobile app. Arrived in lobby of store, found no one on the counter, orders piling up, and 5 people working the drive thru ignoring the inside line. Minutes later, finally, a woman comes and starts taking orders, and the line literally stretched across the store at this point. No one helping her, no one bagging orders. They are only preparing orders from the left screen at the station (DT) and ignoring the right hand screen. I say something to an apparent manager (white, male, blue untucked shirt, I overheard the name Charlie). He was so triggered at the idea of customers being unhappy, he WALKED OUT OF THE STORE. 5 more minutes later, I was given my tea -- missing the lemons, because they hadn't gotten around to cutting any, and she spilled my drink while putting the lid on, and gave it to me with the sticky sides and underfilled. It took 5 more minutes to get my receipt (they ended up giving me someone else's). And... THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG DRINK! I just left at that point, it wasn't worth the fight. Drive through pickup via Mobile order. They were friendly, polite and efficient. Our order was fresh (as far as McDonald's fresh goes) - meaning crispy hot fries and nuggets, not stale. They forgot to add extra saucr despite our asking at the window. But we've had some crappy experiences with McD's and this location wasn't bad at all. read more

Nice for a Micky D's. Nice staff. Friendly. Free upgrades if they make you wait too long. When ordering fries make sure that they don't jip you. Several times I've gone here and they have given me half of a french fry container. But if you say something nicely at your next visit they will correct it for you at no charge. New setup in the drive through is weird. read more

There are a few homeless people in there and outside of this Mcdonalds. They don't bother you though. The restrooms are clean. The whole place itself is pretty clean and organized. Lots of seating. OK, I'm finding myself in McDonald's more often these days. They have some new things on the menu, and calories posted etc. Very nice. To be fair, I usually use the drive through McDonald's on the road, however, I occasionally do go in, like I did here. This McDonald's is a gem. It was super clean. Has a nice TV area. Terrific booths. Some high tables. Easy parking. Nice staff. All McDonald's should follow this place. Maybe all "new" or "recently renovated" McDonald's are like this, I don't know. This McDonald's is one of the worst I have been to. We were asked to order our breakfast via their self order machine even though there was nobody waiting on the line. We ordered our breakfast as instructed and waited for almost 10 minutes before the staff brought our breakfast to the table. Again, there was no other parties waiting to be served there, the staffs were just circling there and chatting. It would not make sense to spend more than 5 minutes to put our breakfast together, which included a big breakfast with hot cake, two breakfast sandwiches, a bottle of white milk and a cup of coffee. During our meal, we wanted to order 1 big ice coffee, so we went to the machine, placed an order and brought an order locator to our table. Waited for 12 minutes before walking to the front to check with the staff, then we were told that we were supposed to be waited there to get our ice coffee as they would not bring those "little item" to our table. I am disappointed. Ordered a coffee with sugar and a little cream, and oatmeal via drive-thru at 11 am, there were no cars in front or behind me. My coffee had no sugar and too much cream, and the oatmeal is doused in water. If I was able to rate a zero, I would! Terrible, horrible service! Manager and the workers were, extremely rude! They can only take orders on he kiosk, they don't know how to take orders from the register! Meanwhile, when I went back to the register they were taking orders at the register.... If anything I would say this McDonald's was racist and does not service people of color. They would take orders personally for whites. When the orders came to the table the orders were wrong! Obvs the food is the same everywhere, however pricing at franchises is "within a range" according to corporate. This McDonald's and others owned by this franchise owner price at the top of the range for popular items and sides. The indoor seating area is quite nice and clean, TVs, nice booths, etc. The outdoor seating sucks, it's right by the enterence\exit in front by the noisy street with no shade. I'd sit out back on the curb but there is no shade there either. Compared to most other McDonald's there is not much parking, which I guess works for them because of the large and oddly shaped booths there is not much seating either. The problem with this McDonald's in Monticello is that the front area where orders are taken is too small. If there is any eat in or carry out traffic at all the front is packed. You order, then you have to wait for your food and there is no place to stand where you are not in everyone else's way. If I go to McDonald's in Monticello I go to the one at Walmart which is basically across the street from here. It's a cafe line style,, so you go through the line, pay at the end and then go sit down. read more
