The mochaccino and savoury french toast were very high quality (came out to around $27ish for both after tip). The caramelized onions and cheese on the french toast alongside the maple syrup made for a very good sweet and savoury flavour kick -- if you don't eat much, you could definitely share since I had trouble finishing it! The mochaccino was also not too sweet and had a good balance between coffee and chocolate, I could see why it was so busy on a Sunday morning so come early if you can :) There's a variety of seating (outdoor and by the fireplace as well) and the ambiance was lively.

Lots of lettuce and had tomatoes and pickles too. Sundried tomato mayo and havarti cheese as well. Everything was perfectly balanced. The maple danish was so good. Like a dark/amber maple syrup. It wasn't too sweet either. The mocacino had a nice dark chocolate flavour to it too.

Hot dogs are also microwaved then tossed in the panini press to give the appearance of being grilled. Water is $3, same price as all other non-alcoholic drinks. Fries were perfect, no notes. Lobster is placed on top of the bun to look like there's a lot but once you put it inside the bun, it's quite a mediocre amount. The fish sandwich is served in a hot dog bun (same bun as lobster roll) which is fine but was unexpected. Also, no kids menu. Ambiance - 4.5 Love the location and shaded picnic tables down on the floating dock. Such a fun vibe! Service - 3 Owner had an interesting vibe, but she owned it with total confidence so all the power to her. She wasn't very warm or friendly but danced quite eccentrically while taking orders, an intriguing juxtaposition. Overall rating: 3.5/5 -- Probably won't be back but it's worth a try!

C The sausage we were served was black and hard. She couldn't cut it with a knife. The toast could hardly be considered toast at all. It was very lightly toasted on one side - when I mentioned this to the server she said - yes, our toaster sometimes does that. IMO if it sometimes happens get it fixed, We like our bacon crispy but not THAT crispy! The coffee was terrible. All for the princely sum of $37. Not recommended Cornwall deserves better - it used to be better - whatever happened looks like neglect.

The menu is very diverse-Chinese food, snack bar food (burgers, chicken strips, poutine, and some seafood (lobster rolls! Among others). Look at the menu I'm posting! We got bacon lover's pontine, a lobster roll, and had to try their homemade egg roll and spring roll. The lobster roll was delicious, as were the fries. Poutine was very good and toppings were generous. I'd prefer my bacon more crispy but I know that's personal preference and should have asked prior. Egg roll and spring rolls were good but lived in the shadow of the lobster roll. So I'd skip them next time. There's a screened porch or outdoor bar to dine at and watch the scenery. Owners were friendly and welcoming. They also have a large ice cream menu but I didn't photograph it. I'd definitely do it again!

We sat outside, enjoying the summer air and watching the downtown hum along. The food here leans simple but thoughtful. Our lattes and matcha latte were smooth and well-crafted, and the pacing felt unhurried in the best way. Service was friendly without being overbearing, and it's the kind of place where you can linger with your coffee without feeling rushed. If you're in Charlottetown and want a reliably good breakfast with a quality cup of coffee, Receiver is worth the stop--especially if you can grab a patio seat.

We were cheerfully greeted at the door and promptly taken to a table for our meal. The kids menu did not disappoint, with high quality pasta presented elegantly in a curved bowl. Salads and sandwiches, including one lobster roll, also met expectations. The chowder was rated 10/10, on account of light broth combined with hearty pieces of seafood. The one area for improvement was the unfortunate failure to distinguish between brands of cola when ordering. Despite asking for Coke, we were brought Pepsi without the requisite warning. The Arnold Palmer was basically a raspberry lemonade with barely a hint of tea. We had appetizers - she was able to sub scallops for the shrimp(due to our allergies). We had the seafood medley and 2 mini tourtierres. The seafood was good, the smoked salmon was dyed a purple color. The scallops were good, cooked a tad bit too long, but still tasty. The beef tarts were dry and the pastry tough. While our server was enjoyable and pleasant, the appetizers were not the best, and for the price, we won't be back.
