Quarter Pounder with Parchment Paper
Robert M.

Jan. 11, 2026, 7pm, drive-thru. Patty paper in my Quarter Pounder. I took a bite and thought that can't be... then another and pulled the rest out. You can see it really cooked into the meat...disgusting. I would have returned it but we were already on the road during a road trip. To be fair, everything else seemed fine. I hope this was a one-off.

Overflowing trash, hygene issue

So we stopped here twice in a 3 day period while on the way to Mammoth and back to LA. No one is there to serve you, you order yourself and just pick up your order. I know we're in the digital/robot age, BUT that is no excuse for McDonald's POOR hygene standards. On both occasions we visited the trash was overflowing out of their trash cans, not a pleasant site nor what I expect from a world profound fast-food chain. Get your act together McDonald's. The FDA should start shutting down establiments like this. #FDA

The service was great! First time in Mojave, CA The woman at the window who gave us our food was REALLY amazing and sweet ! Very thoughtful of our order and had the best personality:) Shout out to the African American in the mask at the second window around 9AM

Inside. Clean.

A McDonalds 5 out of 5. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the food conformed to my expectations of McDonalds. This was a quick stop passing through town. Went in and had to order from their digital menu which was no problem. Used restroom which was clean. Then they called my name and I was able to peacefully enjoy my quick bite and hit the road.

Caption not needed.

Friendly tips before you arrive: Bathroom's are key coded. Men and Women. No refills whatsoever. No 20 Pcs Chicken McNugget meals. No 4 pcs Kids McNugget meals. 30 minute dining limit. Regardless of where you coming from CA-58 or CA-14. This Mohave McDonalds is something rather 'unique'. First of all there is a drive thru. Two (2) entrances really. First is off the Old CA-58 and the other on CA-14. Depending on which highway your are on. But it leads to the same building. Now what makes this 'unique'? Well, first off, this McDonalds is now Kiosk Ordering. Meaning there is no Cashier whatsoever. What is more annoying is that as you park your vehicle in the parking stalls. The first two (2) kiosk is right at the entrance next to the bathroom. So this can cause physical body traffic. The other Kiosk is right across from what used to be the Cashier. Once you are done ordering. Find a seating area for your number to be called if taking out. Or take one of the table numbers and your food will be delivered to you in person. The other 'ordering' option is by having the McDonalds App. So if you know are wanting McDonalds. You can order in advanced and pick up your food once you arrive. Or Order while you are there if the kiosks are packed. As it were in our situation. If you need 'service' you're going to have raise your voice to get some staff attention. As most of their physical time are at Drive-Thru Window and at the food prep. Other than that. The dining tables are quite large for medium sized groups under 6. Anything larger then will have to find other tables. Enjoy and safe travels once you leave!

Seriously ? Yall forgot my fries and when I tell you, you come back and bring this ? Pathetic .
Michelle O.

First- they forget to add my order, then you get attitude when I tell you at the window. Then you mess up my order and only bring me a sandwich. When you go back and bring me my fries- you don't even fill them up. This isn't your kitchen - stop being greedy. Do your job. If you don't like where you work- FIND A NEW PLACE. You work at a place you're supposed to ( service the customer) so if you don't like servicing then go do something sitting on your bottom.

Best coffee at McDonald's, always hot and strong. Mojave location taking forever for our food.

It took 30+ mins to put 2 patties and cheese on a bun. Didn't know it was that hard to do.

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could, they are rude slow and mess up your order every time, and then try to blame you for them screwing up

Also because they have clean bathrooms available, and of course, the tasty burgers, fries, onion rings, and other burger joint favorites. The menu is not cheap, but most things are pretty good including the avocado bacon cheeseburger and the onion rings. They also have really good shakes and malts. It's basically a classic old-school burger joint but everything tastes good because not many places make things like that anymore. Service is usually pretty quick. The decor is classic diner and they've got a few interesting things on the walls. Overall a five star roadtrip stop.

Turns out walking over to the counter to order in-person is quicker than waiting for the customer in front of you to finish ordering at the self-order kiosk. - I just wish the cashier was available sooner/more. - lol tried to order online on the drive there to save time, but service out there so spotty. By the time I reached the checkout page on my phone, it said 25min wait, and I had already physically arrived at the restaurant. Quicker to just order in-person lmao. . Decent amount of indoor seating, but quite crowded. It's a desert out there, and this burger joint seems a popular stop. + First restaurant I've seen with a hand-washing sink within the dining area. Neat! + Good restrooms. Well ventilated. Considering we just came from a buncha hikes with poorly-maintained trailhead restrooms, recuperating here was a relief.

It's a small, casual spot with a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the main road through Kernville. A great place to kick back, enjoy the mountain-town atmosphere, and watch the world go by. It's a little pricey, and don't expect fast food, but that's part of the appeal. Good food takes time, and it's absolutely worth the wait. One of my favorite stops when I'm in the area!

It was a younger looking girl at the register who didn't seem alarmed by the immediate rush of people who added to the already semi-long line. A couple times she shouted that she was "sorry for the wait" and that there was "only two of them". I immediately thought "oh no". Our group arrived before breakfast cutoff time but since we were in line so long it was well past the cutoff by the time we could order breakfast. Some were bummed but found alternatives. I went with a bacon burger and onion rings. Both were very good with the onion rings were excellent. The shakes looked good but I wasn't adventurous enough to try some before our long drive home. The place was clean, even the bathroom. I was very impressed with the work ethic of the two employees. Kudos to the owner or hiring manager.

You'd…read morethink stopping so soon out of L.A. on SR 14 at Mojave, destination Reno, wouldn't be necessary--but when you've been pounding coffee from the git-go... It wasn't just a pit stop. I had a page of Jack coupons and was ready for breakfast before the merge to quaint/majestic U.S. 395, the route that creates a conclusively calming cakewalk compared to I-5 & I-80's surprise lane closures, devil-may-care truckers, metro rush hours, etc. (think "Welcome to the Jungle"). Further, this turned out to be one of just two stops in an 8-1/2 hour journey. First thing I saw on pulling into a storefront parking space at about 8 a.m. was an employee cleaning the exterior window and door glass surfaces. Then, inside, another staffer was meticulously wiping down all dine-in furnishings. Morning is a great time to make a good impression. On both visits, the counter staff was welcoming and efficient, and the products (BOGO Breakfast Jacks this time) emerged faultlessly from the kitchen. Also, the restroom was in good shape, always a plus, but the location does require that you ask adjacent counter staff to buzz you in. The outdoor surroundings evoke the Bacharach-David standard, "Trains and Boats and Planes," absent the superfluous middle mode of travel--never cottoned to the notion of a watery death. The Mojave Air & Space Port boundary is a short drive to the northeast, and Union Pacific's tracks are right across the highway to the west. My kind of town, Mojave is.
