Every time we get a DoorDash from McDonald's, it always goes to this location and it's always wrong. We either never received the items that we ordered or we get a complete exact opposite meal that we did not order at all whatsoever. Honestly, this is the WORST McDonald's in the state. My son went through the drive-thru at this location very early this morning and paid for his order. The bag ripped while the employee was handing it to him. The food fell out of the bag, to the ground, between the drive-thru window and the car. The employees refused to replace the items and first said there was no manager available. An employee then brought an empty bag, no food, and when my son insisted they replace the food or return his money they refused, disparaging him, and laughed. The employees, all of them, including the manager, continually laughed and taunted him throughout this ordeal. The manager was even dancing and laughing in his face at one point.  I was on the phone with him and listened to the employees laughing, then yelling at him, arguing, swearing, then laughing again and taunting him. Then they were threatening to call the police and saying he stole food. How did he steal food? They stole his money! They even encouraged another customer to hit my son's car! I called the location and the first time the person who answered claimed to be the manager. She refused to resolve the issue, saying the food fell when it was already outside the window, as if that absolved them of any responsibility or courtesy, and then actually hung up on me when I insisted she replace it or refund his money! The next time, a young man answered and argued with me, saying my son fed the food to his dog so they should not give him a refund. Of course he did, it was on the ground! He can feed trash to his dog and still expect a refund. I told this employee he was risking his job, this is not what McDonalds would tell him to do, that everything was recorded, and they need to refund the cost of the food and then he also hung up on me. I called again and there was silence so I stated that they need to refund the money, this is not how McDonalds would want them to handle this matter, and they could all lose their jobs and I was hung up on again. Also of importance to note is that this is a young black man that they were threatening with a false police report. We all know what can happen when a business calls police on a young black man in this country. The corporation's response simply shifts responsibility to the franchise owner, clearly demonstrating that they don't care that this franchise and its staff are representing McDonald's in this way. read more

I was having an extremely hard day, went to go get food to pick me up and was given the wrong order, not once but twice. I just gave up because I don't have the emotional capacity to deal with this, especially not while I'm supposed to be getting back to work myself. I ordered the happy meal and was disappointed to see I couldn't add cheese as an up charged option, but that was okay that was fine, I opted for a second fry instead of apples, no toy, and I ordered sauces. The first time I got my food, I opened the box and there was a toy and no extra fry or apples, and no sauces. I went back through extremely kind and explained I thought I got the wrong order. They gave me my box back this second time, I got sauces, but they gave me apples and I had a melt down in my car because today is just not it. And the fries I did get taste like dirt. read more

I've been going to this location for over 20 years and have endured the orders being wrong for many times picking up or using the drive thru. orders not complete, orders missing items , ordered not fixed how i ordered it. Waiting for 15 to 20 minutes for a pick up order. Today i ordered a Quarter pounder deluxe meal the sandwich was the worst sandwich i have ever received from any location throughout the country i have lived in or travelled to. The sandwich tasted and appeared old and not fixed correctly the bun was hard as a rock top and bottom stale and old. I have sent messages to Mcdonald's Corporate offices which refer me to i guess the owners of the store my complaints are not a concern to Mcdonald's Corporate office nor the owners. I have said to myself that i'm never going back and i keep going due to being the closest McDonald's to me. But after today that's it. Slow service and the windows are protected with bullet proof glass which is a little sketchy. It's hit or miss encountering people who are happy being there and people who hate their lives. I've never been inside but I don't think I ever will. Overall, the food is what you'd expect but it's in a sketchy part of town. read more

Just now: 11/01/2022 - a manager that couldn't clearly annunciate her name, failed to provide any solution to my call about a 35-minute drive through wait. When my son finally got home with the food it was cold, fries were hard & they forgot the nuggets sauce. Said managers response to my call was less than desirable. I get that these days you're probably scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as candidates but do yourselves a favor & hire managers that at least appear to give a shit. I ordered on mobile app and customize the order to have no bun on my burger. They took 10 minutes to get it to me once I was curbside and they brought two burgers *with* buns. When I ask them to fix this, they said they would. Ten minutes later, they came back out and said your order says no bun. That'd be a no fake Jake moment. Of course the order said no bun. I customized it to be no buns. . They didn't want to change out the order. Grrrr. I said I'm allergic to wheat, I can't eat the bun. I can't eat these Burgers. They figured I could just pick off the meat, cheese and condiments no big deal. And 10 minutes later I'm still waiting for the corrected order. How hard is 2 double cheeseburgers with no bun. Went through the drive through at 11:15 pm at the McDonald's off of broadway and university. Probably the worst service I've ever seen at a McDonald's. I know you get what you pay for but I've still never seen worse service in my life. So we pull up to the order screen and no one greets us for 2+ minutes so we start saying "hello" because again since we drove up never greeted us in any type of matter, so what else does one do when they pull up to a drive through with no recognition that they are there. Then some lady said "please stop saying hello I've seen you since you pulled up" So we say okay sorry, we didn't know. Then someone pulled up to the next drive through window and was greeted right away and their order was also taken. We said something again and she responded what did I say? This McDonalds has had my last business. I got called into work this morning at 3:30 am. The place I think of first to grab that coffee fifteen minutes after hopping out of bed for the half hour drive to the fire is my Broadway Northside McD's. This is suppose to be a 24 hour store. I get to the order mike and hear "sorry ma'am we are not taking orders now we are setting up for breakfast". Huh? Did you miss the meaning of 24 hour?? Are you really so busy you cannot serve coffee and a maybe a yogurt parfait? A saving grace about McD's everywhere use to be great customer service. Now you don't seem to get that at any of them any longer. If they SAID on the doors they closed from 3-5 am for clean up and breakfast set up fine I get it. Just don't call yourself 24 hour and be to busy to serve customers 24 hours. This place use to be reasonable- slowish but never unhelpful. Times change. read more

The only problem I have is that when I come order here some employees would have an attitude with me when I am taking my time to order or when I wasn't sure want I wanted to order. Worst Sunday afternoon coffee ever!!!! I've been getting my coffee here for years but today was one of those days not only did the guy mess the coffee up he asked security make my coffee because the manager didn't have time or the workers didn't have time to make the coffee correct thanks to security I had a excellent cup of coffee finally. I am a driver for Uber Eats and frequent this McDonalds location 3-4 days a week. I actually enjoy coming to this location because the drive thru late night is fast and efficient, the orders are nicely packaged, and the staff is very friendly. The girl working the drive through is polite and delivers service with a smile. Some of the other locations in the area aren't as friendly. Some staff members roll their eyes if you ask for anything additional example, ketchup or napkins. I can only speak for the graveyard shift at the N. Minneapolis store, great service from the staff.
