We are a mostly meatless family, and grab Impossi'Whoppers on the go when necessary. The Burger King app often has decent deals, making them more affordable than the $9+ sticker price these days. The drive-thru service has always been competent and fairly friendly here. One area of improvement is with the kitchen staff and the skimpy toppings. I used to get a side salad with my Impossi'Whopper so I could load it up with more veggies myself. But BK has discontinued their side salad. Now we ask for extra of all of the toppings, which at BK is supposed to accommodate with their "Have it your way" slogan and all. But if there is extra anything on our burgers, I can't tell. It looks like the skimpy usual amount of veggie toppings. Please bring back the side salad, or actually add extra toppings when a customer requests them. Other than that, this location is as decent as any other decent Burger King.

I stopped at this Checkers on Friday night for a quick dinner while heading to Queens. I haven't been to a Checkers in well over a year so it was a little treat. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo with fries and got some mozzarella sticks as well because it's a 7 hour drive and wanted to feel shame the rest of the way. The food didn't take all that long to come out and before you know it we were back on the road. The burger itself was pretty average and didn't leave much of a lasting impression, it served its purpose though. I'm a fan of the checkers fries and those were up to par. The mozzarella sticks which were called "monsterella sticks" wet slightly larger then a French fry and tasted about as good as eating uncooked cheese wrapped in bread......basically they were pretty bad. I'm not sure where the term "monster" comes from in describing small and undercooked mozzarella sticks but these are not something I would ever want to try eating again. Plus side, they do have ordering screens which gives you the ability to scan the menu and pick and choose what you want. Overall, this is a pretty typical fast food place in a rest area. Expect to pay way more then you should for good and get lackluster service.

In the old days we thought that stopping at Pembroke Rest Stop was one of the highlights of going to Rochester. A few Checkers burgers and shakes later, we have realized we were wrong. Once the staple fast food of our trips to Florida, Checkers has infiltrated WNY, and so be it, given they are open until 3am or something ridiculous. This location, though, is not. Service, food, prices all not so good. Stick to the non-thruway locations. And if you have an attitude, Checkers it at the door.

They were hopping busy and were actually bringing the food out to the cars and mobile ordering spots. This was no simple feat since it was a grand 18 degrees outside. Burger and fries were fresh and hot. The location, while small is all windows and very bright. The restaurant was very clean. The person behind the counter greeted me with a big hello and was very pleasant and courteous. These reviews don't change much from location to location and I would not expect it to. Stopped at this travel plaza near the end of a full day of driving. I had read that their new…read morecrispy chicken sandwich was very good and thought I would give it another try since the first one I had didn't seem crispy at all. In fact it didn't seem like the sandwich for which the reviews had been written. They were rather busy with a dozen people waiting for their food. I ordered two crispy chicken sandwiches and they were ready in about twelve minutes, a bit longer than most fast food establishments. The sandwiches come in a foil pouch and were warm when I ate them. As I bit into the first sandwich it was difficult to avoid the spicy sauce dripping out as it was bathed in sauce. The sandwich was not at all crispy, was much more mushy. I would rate it a c- at best. It was very similar to the first sandwich I had tried some time ago, so it was the norm rather than a fluke. Needless to say I have no desire to ever have another.

She asked where is my drink and they hand her a hot cup. Her drink was supposed to be iced and she got so pissed off that she slammed her drink down in front of the store. She had been waiting probably 25 minutes for the drink, then after everyone left also people had gone to the counter well after I had ordered because mine was a mobile order ahead of time. I said you have a drink for me and the young man's like looking for it. Well, what happened was the drink was pulled, and it should've been ready before I got there, the label in the cup. We're sitting on the back counter, and my drink was sitting in the blender never poured. And then I hear a voice not the young man who said oh I forgot about that. I commend the young man because he was working what I was sad about was the other employees that were watching him work and then commenting on the fact that he was doing a great job Next time if you see someone doing a great job running their butt off.
