Just celebrated a college graduation here. First of all, just walking up to the restaurant made our mouths water, the amazing aroma wafting from the kitchen was heavenly. The interior was clean and very comfortable. The menu made it so hard to choose what to order. The service was top notch, friendly and professional. We only go here for special occasions and last night was very disappointing. Loud with clientele that wore everything except walking in with their pj's, waitresses making their own drinks which causes a delay with food arrival (and listening to constant shaking of drinks, very annoying). Unfortunately the waitress belonged in a diner, she was not very attentive, ordered the special and was served with one plate perfectly displayed and the other sloppy. At $60 a plate it should have been fixed prior to arriving to our table. Wait staff traffic was very distracting going from one room to another, I think their up to catering 3 rooms (too much) and loosing sight of the fine dining experience that we so loved when we found this place. We will definitely take a break from making a future reservation with hopes management really takes a look at the less than positive reviews of this establishment before it really goes down hill. read more

For the second time, in 3 years my family took me to Mother's Day brunch at Zambistro's and it did not disappoint! We were greeted warmly by the hostess and immediately seated. Our waitress was kind and attentive. She explained the menu and served us and all her tables with a smile! The food was outstanding, as always, and we walked away happy and well fed. You can NEVER go wrong with anything you choose here. There are menu main stays and being ever the food artists that they are, there are the specials and new additions to the menu almost every season. I appreciate how they mix it up and keep it fresh in that way. I can't write a Zambistro review without mentioning their House Sangria that is our drink of choice here although tonight I tried a Pear Martini that was oh so tasty. They also serve wonderful freshly baked bread with a featured butter that changes on the regular. It's a real treat and testament to the creativity here. If I want a nice, casual dining experience serving up high-quality food, I can count on Zambistro! Family and I arrived around 6pm on a Friday, without a reservation, but we were still seated right away. Our water glasses were filled and a vase full of water was left on the edge of our table, for self-service, as we reviewed the menu trying to narrow down what we wanted. Our waitress Sarah, a cute, young, friendly woman came over with the specials and took our order. She did a nice job checking in on us throughout our meal. I enjoyed how our meal was paced out, starting with fresh bread with whipped butter and a specialty butter - Pina Colada! We loved the specialty whipped butter; it was very refreshing. A little time after that, our house "Bistro" salads arrived with their house dressing, which is like strawberry vinaigrette, phenomenal! Our dinners did not include a salad, these were separate but so worth it. Once we finished our salads and cleared out the bread, we had a moment to digest and talk before our dinners arrived. Now, I LOVE the Bistro Steak & Fries and order it every time I come, but that night I decided to try something new. I ordered their Pork Belly burger: half-pound burger, topped with crispy, thick-cut pork belly, a honey mustard BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese, served in a salted pretzel roll and a side of their parmesan fries (for a small upcharge). This burger... just wow, this was excellent! The burger cooked a perfect medium with a nice hint of pink in the center. The pork belly was awesome, very thick, flavorful; it felt like it was a half-pound itself. The honey mustard BBQ sauce was tasty, almost creamy-like, very good. The salted pretzel roll was the perfect vessel for this sandwich. After finishing the sandwich, the parmesan fries were cooked perfectly and they were very generous with the portion. Now, you may see the prices on their menu and think they look high, but I hope you trust me in saying that the quality and quantity you receive is completely in-line; you will most likely walk out of their full with leftovers! Struggled between 3 and 4 stars. We came in late, close to closing. The guy who seated us was wonderful but our waitress was rude and kept telling us the kitchen was closing and we had to put our order in right away. We got French onion soup which was tasty and a good mix of onions, broth, bread and cheese. And we shared the charcuterie board. It was fine, nothing special. The winery we stopped by earlier in the day highly recommended this place. The place looks fancy inside I was worried that we would be underdressed but the winery staff said we would be fine. We went in T-shirt's and shorts. We decided to sit in the rooftop lounge. It was nice with heated floor and thick screens to block the wind. My Bloody Mary and my tostada was amazing. My wife and I came here for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was our first date as just the two of us since the birth of our first child seven months ago. The team at Zambistro nailed the catering for our wedding. Everything from our first planning meetings to the tasting, to the day of execution was all spot on. Delicious food and outstanding service, I'm not sure what else you could ask for. They had side plates of appetizers ready for us, so that we didn't miss out while we were mingling - this was great! What a wonderful place to have dinner and cocktails. I really like the many options they have for dining (seating). You have two out door areas to be seated at, one is on a balcony and the second is a igloo experience. The decor is simple but yet classy. Our server Kara did a great job explaining the menu, and I really appreciated her recommendations. I actually took her suggestion for dinner, and i am so glad I did. We enjoyed an evening in late December in the Igloo. It was a great experience. The food was terrific and we were warm (2 heaters helped warm the igloo). The 7 of us did not walk away hungry. Our server, Savanna, did a great job. We hope to go back again when there is snow on the ground. read more

My husband got the French Onion soup and said it was one of the best he's ever had. I got the house dressing on my salad per our server's suggestion and it was so good. A perfectly cooked medium rare 1/2 Pound Burger, a well made brioche bun slathered with Bourbon-Bacon Jam, strips of French Brie, and a sidecar of Dijonaise! The flavor explosion was unreal. We have been wanting to try Zambistro for a long time. Fabulous wine and drink menu. Beer menu very basic. I ordered the steak frites which I couldn't wait to try. My husband ordered the Bacon Brie burger. He added a salad and mine came with. While he enjoyed his, I did not. Mine was covered in crumbly Bleu Cheese. Yes, I am one of those those people who do not like the taste of it. I tried to eat the salad but just couldn't finish the salad. So I settled for the very delicious bread and homemade butter. I would've sent it back but our waitress seemed to have us inside and others outside which was quite busy. Also for some reason we had the one table that didn't have multiple service staff working in tandem. So by the time I would get another salad it would be too late. Also we noticed the other service staff informed people about the blue cheese in the salad after the fact. Our server never did. Once dinner arrived my husband enjoyed his burger. My flat iron steak was supposed to be medium rare but was more medium/well. The asparagus was perfect, the frites are a shoestring fry with parm and seasoning. The Béarnaise sauce was delightful. Delicious lunch on a patio in a cute town. We were passing through while taking a day trip to pick apples. We stumbled across this place while reading reviews. We were not disappointed. There were a lot of yummy food options on the menu. We both splurged and chose the steak frites and we were delighted. The steak was flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were crispy, hot and had the perfect amount of salt. There was a small side salad with a slightly creamy, Parmesan, truffle dressing which was to die for. My significant other doesn't even like truffle but enjoyed the salad. I also tried their blood orange sangria which was made from a red wine, which I thought was surprising. It was refreshing, not too sweet and had lovely spices which brought me comfort and feelings of fall in the air. They had a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Zambistro looks like a great date night restaurant with a varied menu. I had the meatball appetizer, spinach bread, and pork belly hamburger ( they have much fancier names than that). I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were on a bed of some type of white sauce and there was a drizzle of a red sauce on top. The dark red sauce was pleasantly aromatic and tasty. The sauce with the spinach bread is what made this dish more edible. It was obviously prepared and cooked with care but there was some off about the spinach itself. To me there was too much of a farm taste. I know that might not make sense for many but if you have ever been to a dairy farm when they are feeding the animals you would equate the taste of this appetizer to that smell. The spinach was a deep green so not over cooked but I wondered if it would have been better sauted instead steamed or boiled, or however it was cooked prior to baking it within the bread, if it was cooked prior to baking. Maybe not sauted with garlic but something to blend out the strong grassy taste. The meat in the pork belly hand burger was excellent. But again it was the sauce that affected this sandwich. The brown sauce was just too much. It dropped out of the sandwich on the first bite and nearly landed on my shirt. Now I am a finger food type of girl but I ended up eating this entree with a fork and knife for two reasons. 1 the pretzel bun was amazing the top truly looking like a pretzel,but so much butter it made my fingers so greasy was constantly wiping my hands. 2 the brown sauce was overwhelming for the pork belly burger...for me. I emphasize for me. I just didn't want a strong almost spicy sauce on my burger. My husband got the Micky burger with parmesan fries while my pork belly came with sweet potato fries. Both fries were very good, hot and crispy. I didn't ask about his burger but he ate most of it so I will assume it was just fine. The waitress was super attentive her name was Mackenzie. She asked several times how everything was and as I said here overall the everything was fine. It is my particular tastes that gives this restaurant only 3 stars. read more

They recently opened a new rooftop bar, and it is unlike anything you would find in this small village. They offer great cocktails and a smaller menu. I would highly recommend. This was my first visit to Zambistro, although my parents have been many times. This a very nice restaurant overall, with medium variety of traditional Italian menu items with some neat twists, e.g., fried olives in some of the salads - all of which looked terrific! I had the fresh pasta ragu with meatballs. It was OK, but meat balls oddly appeared steamed, vs typical sautéd or baked. My mom's liver & onions looked great. Service was too notch. Small town with a big city wow ! After a year or so off Yelp due to Covid it's nice to get back out there and experience life ! I stumbled onto this place on my biking travels on the Erie Canal . First of all , Medina is a cool small town ! Second , I had a memorable dining experience . Everyone one I encountered was spot on with their service . Attentive but not pushy. I especially appreciated they gave me time to look over the menu before asking for a drink order . The drink decision could depend on what you are planning to eat so the two are intertwined. So many restaurants quickly ask for your drink order before you have even had a chance to look over the drink menus or dinner menus . I had the grouper fish special with apple and grape salad $32 . It was delicious; Highly recommend . The dinner came with a salad and warm bread . They had chocolate butter and regular butter for the bread and the house strawberry dressing for the salad was a nice pairing . I watched the other tables and the service they were getting . Everyone seemed to be very pleased and having a great dining experience . This Is a well run restaurant and a great place to go to a after the past year of Covid shutdowns . Check it out! We were in Medina to go to ellen j goods, which has antiques, recycled/upcycled furniture, decoupage/collage supplies, journaling supplies, and just so much more We drove 7 hours from NJ to visit. It was worth every mile. We asked in the store where to get a steak, and they immediately recommended Zambistro. ellen j goods uses them to cater lunches/dinners for events at their store. We went over and ordered lunch. While we did not have the steak, everything we had was excellent. Caesar salad, French onion soup, French dip on a week, and medium rare roast beef sandwich on a baguette. All were sooooooooo good.
