This place has gone down in service. I know for a fact, drive thrus with 2 lanes should alternate between cars. Not here, on multiple occasions I'll be next in line and they take 2 or 3 cars in the opposite lane before me. Makes zero sense to me. Service is absolutely slow no matter if it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner time. It's not always peak hours either. If there is 2 cars in front of you be ready to sit and wait. I don't know why fast food now takes so long and the quality of the food is mediocre at best. Best yet is pray you get the right order, even with online orders I received the wrong items. I've visited this McDonald's location many times and every experience has been consistently decent. My orders are always complete -- everything I've ordered has been in the bag, at a good temperature, and looks fresh and well-prepared. I really don't have any complaints about this location. I ordered sausage biscuit and coffee on the app at 9:45 on Saturday morning. The girl at the drive thru handed me my bag and tells me to pull into spot 1 to wait for my coffee. I was annoyed that I had to wait for coffee at a McDonald's before 10am. But I played along. I pulled into spot 1. 10 minutes later I still have no coffee. Angrily, I pulled off and left. Both McDonald's in Ballston Spa have low reviews because of service like this. It makes me wonder if they're the same owner. read more

Felt rushed to order with "anything else" added after each item I mentioned and the drive thru lady didn't say a word just stared. This McDonald's needs a reboot. I hope it's being considered for the "gut and rebuild" that many other McDonald's are undergoing. The staff keep the place as clean and efficient as possible, but you can only do so much for an older restaurant. The parking lot is awkward; the back of the lot opens into a housing complex, and the front exit is too narrow for the 2 lands of traffic merging there (exiting and pick-up window). Inside, a lot of the chairs show their age by holes in the upholstery, and you can see the black paint is covering up rust. Behind the counter, you can see that the people preparing the food have to move around in cramped and awkward ways. My meal was so-so as well. The sandwich was sloppily assembled. The fries were slightly underdone and more heat-lamp dry than crisp. Once this place gets a face lift, it will be a lot better. read more

After a long haul sabbatical of five plus years of not eating McDonald's, to my disgust our tour guide took our entire crew of thirty-five travellers to a McDonald's while enroute to Montréal and Québec City, Canada. Nasty. Complete chaos with lines of ordering and pick-up leads to a confusion war zone. Our bus driver wanted a salad, burger, soda and water which the cashier said water costs $1.60 which he was upset and our tour guide vouched for him. Typical McDonald chain restaurant. read more

Yes I know it's a McDonald's and yes I'm giving it 5 stars. I'm not saying McDonald's food is the best food ever, just saying that this is the best I've had for a McDonald's anywhere in the country. And I travel a lot!! I don't understand the poor reviews but I do understand the comments about possibly being slow. I came to visit a the area a couple of times and tried this McD's. The first time I went I noticed it was slow. Really slow, BUT, it was because everything was being made fresh. When we got our order my son and I both remarked that this was the best McDonald's we ever had. I have been back about 5 or 6 times and half the time it was slow, the other it was average. But it was always GOOD. And again, I reiterate that its the best McDonald's I have ever been to. Even the drinks were good. Sounds funny but more often than not when I get a soda at McDonald's they are gross. Don't taste anything like they should. The triple cheeseburgers and egg mcmuffins here are my favorite. The place was clean and the staff very friendly. If you are in that big of a hurry and want food sitting in a tray then avoid this one I guess. But if you want the best McDonald's food then this place is a winner.....for a McDonald's. read more

One morning I arrived at 5:10 AM and the doors were still locked even though it is clearly marked on the door they open at 5 AM. Getting someone's attention to take an order is hit and miss. There apparently don't have dedicated counter people. People are filling drive thru orders but seem to ignore the counter. Best thing is the rest rooms. They are clean and spacious. Food is typical McDonalds food. They need to address more attention to the people waiting at the counter. read more

This went from one of the better McDonalds in the area to just about the worst. I've been here three times in the past few weeks, and each time seems to get worse. Never order a breakfast sandwich in the afternoon or you will be treated with a greasy microwaved mess. And never order at the desk. Use the kiosk or online app. They can mess up just about any order. I felt the cashier was on her first day, but she has been there for weeks and just can't understand orders I suppose. Needed to manager to chicken mcnuggets and a large frappe. What I got was the wrong size nuggets and I don't even know what coffee drink I received, including the wrong size. This is a good location - I've never had a problem - sometimes I get a quick breakfast sandwich if I'm in a rush.

For fast food, what can I say? It tastes the same as every other McDonald's. My concern is that their water in the restroom is freezing cold. This is a health code violation. How did this McDonald's pass inspection? I am concerned about the cleanliness of their food because of the lack of hot water in the rest rooms. The tables are also always very dirty. I always have to ask a worker to clean our table. It's very discomforting. I realize that patrons can be sloppy, but another customer shouldn't have to dine in someone else's mess. read more

Slowest service of any fast food. Server had a really bad attitude. A customer walked up to the counter and she said "I'm putting in my own order." She totally blew him off. Then it took awhile for anyone else to come to the counter to help the customer. I had used the kiosk to place my order. The next day I came in the evening around 9:00 and there was a Sign on the door stating that they were under staffed and the lobby was closed. The only way you could order food was from the drive through. Even if this store is a franchise I'm sure there are guidelines that must be followed. If I could give this store zero I would. This is one of the cleanest and friendliest McDonald's I've ever been to. The food is slow because they make it fresh... no stale fries or buns here. The drive through may be slow but this is because the employee physically runs the food back and forth from the kitchen- you don't pick it up at the window. And in between cars she goes around to all the tables asking if you need anything else, as if it's a real sit down restaurant. I loved it, they do a great job here and take pride in their service. read more

Avoid at all costs. This is probably the grossest McDonald's I have ever been too. It is incredibly outdated, incredibly dirty, filth on the ice machine, there was an ant infestation on the napkins/condiment section. We saw multiple quarter-sized spiders run across the floor. Staff was incredibly unfriendly as well. I went up to the counter to ask for napkins (because I didn't want to use the ones with ants crawling on them) and a younger girl said napkins are over there and walked away. When I tried to explain I didn't care to use the ones with insects on them she rolled her eyes and gave me 'two' napkins. This place probably needs to be demolished. read more

This location is in need of a renovation. The service was good. Only one power outlet in entire place. If you're working on a laptop, I'd recommend the more modern Dunkin next door. read more

For the love of god do not give this crap place your business. If you don't have to go back and make sure they got your order right would be amazing. We went throught tonight and ordered a 10 piece and 20 piece nugget the lazy bastards in the kitchen not realizing we heard, said the chicken isn't cooking fast enough and only gave us 2 10 piece nuggets. This isn't the only problem we have had amazingly enough we have gotten a napkin and empty quarter roll in a drink and still for some stupid reason went back. This is hands down the worst mcdonalds in the area the owner sucks and doesn't give a crap about the customers if this place closed tomorrow it wouldn't be soon enough. I will never eat here again or allow any of their food anywhere near my house. I would rather crap my pants and eat it. At least I know the quality would be the same as this crappy place. read more

How they can run out of them during lunch rush is beyond me. People I know drive 6 miles out of their way when they need to visit mcdonald to go to a different one. read more
