This McDonald's went through a renovation over the past year and they really spruced up the whole vibe. For a McDonald's it looks great from the outside, but also looks great and clean on the inside. I don't really ever sit down in McDonald's and always order to go but this one is comfortable and inviting. Pick up and drive-through is always pretty easy here as there isn't often a large line as you will experience when you head more South. My husband and I were in town for a wedding, and as we were leaving the hotel to go home the following morning, we saw this McDonald's a few buildings down and decided to stop there before heading home. The employee on the drive-thru speaker was nice, but had a hard time hearing my husband and I. We had to repeat our order about 3-4 times before she could hear us. In terms of the food, everything was delicious and warm! I also saw they had a limited time Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry which I had to try. I normally don't bother to yelp places like this, but this was extra terrible. I ordered a number 7 with extra pickles. The buns and burgers were burnt and dry, there were no extra pickles and the cheese wasn't melted on the burger. Horrendous experience at this location. Cashier was randomly discussing me as a customer to not only another customer, but also to her fellow employees. Those same employees enabled her to continue behaving unprofessionally. This woman was speaking in Spanish, not knowing I am a bilingual speaker. She added extra charges as well. When I addressed the extra charges, she had another employee attempt to take away a drink I did request instead of correcting the order for the extra charges on items I did not even receive. After listening to said employee continuously speak of me in Spanish, I decided to tell her I did not appreciate her discussing me negatively as a customer without reason. She then began to become loud with me, handed my bag over to me aggressively and said, "Take your food". I then came back to hair inside of my daughters nuggets that I had ordered. A year ago, I went to a mcds that was super slow in Brampton, Ontario and yet, this location takes the cake for sloth speed service. With three people working at the front, you would think at least one of them would address the customers who want to order. After maybe 4 minutes of packing happy meals, one finally comes in. She needed us to repeat the order three times. Ma'am, we were ordering 4 items, like get with the program. When we came back to ask for mcnugget sauce, one of them totally blanked out and my dad basically provided some negative feedback. I placed my order at the drive through and the man who took the order repeated it back to me and gave me the amount that I owed. When I got to the pick-up window my tea and chocolate milk shake were missing. They gave me the tea but said that I hadn't paid for the milk shake so they couldn't give it to me. I asked to pay at the window and get a medium shake, I was told that the price was $4.06. I said that could not be correct and the manager said it did cost $4.06 for a medium shake. Today I woke up to buy and bring my little sister with leukemia a happy meal. She is in the hospital. It's her favorite meal in the world. The happy meal box with a toy makes her feel like a normal kid and makes her forget of her life threatening condition. I pulled off the highway for a quick coffee fix and walked inside and found this McDonald's to be an exception to most I've visited it was very clean and great service from the friendly staff. this mcdonalds is in a great location right off of RT17. I usually stop here or at the dunkin donuts on 17 on my way home from newark airport when i have extremely late flights or red eyes. As far as mcdonalds go they have everything all the others have burgers fries and chicken. I went here last week and the burger i had came out hot the snack wrap was room temp not warm at all but that dosent bother me. If you are on RT17 and feel like MCD. this MCD is in a great location to stop at or if you are traveling upstate its quick and easy to grab a bite to eat. This was a good McDonald's, one of the better ones I've been to. Nice and clean, with an updated style made it nice to be inside. Had those kiosk things that I like. Sat down after ordering and went to the bathroom, when I came back my food was there already! Pretty good food, what you would expect for McDonald's. The food pretty much is and tastes the same at this or any other McDs. It's definitely not one of the cleanest. I refuse to eat inside anymore with my kids. There is always a wait in the drive-thru. Lately I'm told to park after I order and pay and they will bring my food out. Only problem, they tell me and five other cars behind me the same thing. 3 out of 10 times my order is incorrect. Lastly but most importantly the customer service is horrible. The men staff are alway pleasant, but the women are a little snippy and not cordial and friendly at all. I give it 2 stars only because of the close proximity to my house and that its McDs. I'm considering going to the one down the road in Ramsey. read more
