The location is a convenient place to stop when traveling. There isn't anything special about the restaurant but the seating area is comfortable. Priority seems to be those in the drive thru and not inside. read more

On Sunday, April 5 after church service wanted to grab to grab some fries. I stood in line for over 45 minutes waiting for someone to take my order never got any assistance never was even acknowledge by the manager, whom was standing their bagging . Another customer came up behind me to ask the manager, was they taking orders in the lobby? Her reply was we are short staffed. We are busy. You guys are gonna have to learn to be patient. I said ma'am excuse me, but that's not how you talk to customers you're the manager and I understand and I can fully see that you guys are very busy and we are waiting patiently, but that's not how you talk to your customers I was told have a blessed Easter and goodbye goodbye get out of here I said to her excuse me, but that's not how you talk to people I've done customer service my whole life helping people and I've never talked to anybody like that even when I wasn't having a good day because it's not the customer's fault you don't take your anger in your frustration out on customers whatever whatever goodbye have a good day we are busy. We are short staffed and I'm not working my staff like that. I'm not overworking them. I said man can I please have your corporate number if you want it you need to look it up I said oh so you're taking ownership is yourself because you're refusing to give me the number it's whatever it's whatever goodbye. Another customer comes and tells me that when I walked out, her comment was is that we want to be with our families too so basically she was pissed that she had to work on a Sunday but you're a manager that was your call on your job profession that she wanted to do nobody forced you to work at McDonald's not that anything is wrong with McDonald's but you chose that job we didn't ask you to choose that job. I just feel like that if there is somebody over her which I know there is somebody really needs to talk to her because that's not good customer service and that's why that particular McDonald's and I live in Nelson born and raised that's why that particular McDonald's has the ratings that it does because of people or management like her. She was very rude and very unprofessional and at this point it looks very ugly as a person. read more

Whenever I go to this Mc Donald's in the morning, there is always this nice man at the first window. He is very friendly and considerate of his customers. Every time I see him he makes my day at least a little better. Also for reference, he has blue glasses. Give this man a raise! read more

I wish I could give this place half a star. They forgot my ice cream. The bathroom looked extremely shady the stall lock didn't work. So I walked in on someone because the stall wall went down to the floor. Possibly the worst McDonalds to visit. It is wheelchair accessible. read more

This McDonald's is usually a pretty good stopping point between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. I have stopped at this location a few times over the years. I stopped by and went through the Drive Thru on Saturday, December 10, 2022. The line was long and it took around 20 minutes to get through the line. I ordered two Crispy Chicken Sandwiches and a Large Dr. Pepper. The order should have come to $7.00 plus tax (2 x $3.00 for the sandwiches and $1.00 for the drink). I was a little shocked to find out that my order came to $8.53. I asked the Drive Thru clerk why the bill wasn't $7.00 plus tax as it seemed a bit high. He told me that they charge for mayonnaise for all sandwiches and it's up to the franchisee to make that determination. He wasn't apologetic either. I tried to keep it light hearted by thanking him because I learned something new today, but he didn't seem to care for that. (By the way, get people to work the Drive Thru who have people skills. The girl who gave me my food was nice and is the only reason this review is picking up a second star.) This is the first McDonald's where I've seen this happen and there are no signs indicating otherwise. I was disappointed and will not be going stopping by in the future. Hopefully, because of the principle of the situation, this review may help others make their decision in choosing to dine at this location as well. read more

There's something to be said about convenience, familiarity, and consistency, and we experienced all of that when we stopped here for a quick breakfast. Drive thru was quick and easy to navigate, and the food was spot on: hash brown was hot and crispy, Egg White Delight was delicious with the perfectly toasted English muffin, and the bacon/egg/cheese biscuit was just as expected. For some reason I keep giving this place my business. Same ol same ol. Horrible service and the order is never right. Sat at the window to ask about my order being wrong and was completely ignored. Very convenient location too bad they can't seem to staff people that know what they're doing or care how they do their jobs. The service wasn't a problem at all, and I didn't complain up front because of how busy it was, but I just had to say something here about this god awful "chicken" sandwich. I'm sure there was more time to get an actual size worth cutlet of chicken, gahdamn. It didn't taste too bad for fast food but the "chicken" from said "chicken sandwich" could be more filling than that. read more

The food is decent but the service makes me want to drive through the window and fight the manager.

In 3 weeks I have been here twice and both times missing items, first time I parked and checked and walked back in to see my items sitting in the tray and they apologized but to go again in a short period of time and by quickly looking over the order because I didn't wanna hold up the drive through line and the parking lot was packed , I wrongly assuming it was all there I didn't notice there were any missing items and my food was eaten by mistake and they assumed the order was wrong and just went with it since it was small differences (cheeseburger instead of a mcdouble) they didn't realize there items were not there and just ate what was so when I went to eat after driving 25 min one way there waited for about 15 min the dropped food off to a friend to be nice and bring food home for my partner and I I got shorted and got nothing but my large hi c :/ so I spent about an hour getting McDonald's for my guy and I and drop off some as a suprise to a friend so we didn't have to worry about dinner I still had to make myself dinner THANKS McDonald's for your continued incompetence ! read more

Went in recently for some desperation nuggets on an errand day and the service was super friendly and the food was hot. They double checked to make sure my sauce had been included and napkins. Fast food is not my favorite at all, but in the way of McDonald's chains, this place is consistently friendly, fast, and the food is as good as fast food can be. Solid. read more

Beware! Only one mask on the ENTIRE staff. I should have walked out. There is NO excuse in today's world that employees at a McDonalds that have interactions with hundreds of people should not be wearing a mask. This will probably fall mostly on deaf ears but it also could save someone! read more
