The positive: They were quick The negative; Wasn't sure if the lady working the drive through mic worked at cookout or an auction house she spoke so quickly. Not sure if speed or customer service is the key but the definitely didn't deliver on customer service. The person was speaking so quickly and abruptly that I felt like I was in a race . There was one car in line ahead of us and no one behind us so they weren't busy. Additionally, I ordered hush puppies but they decided I didn't need that and I instead needed cole slaw, weird. Maybe if the cashier had taken a breath to read back the order we could have avoided this whole thing, but here we are. Given that the order was wrong and the poor customer experience, I can't go more than 1 star, and definitely won't be back. Stopped by here on a road trip. The main thing are the low prices for typical American food. It wasn't particularly busy when we came but the food took a while to come out. At least the food was hot. The 2 stars was because service was fast and the food was hot hot hot, but that's probably because we came in at like 10:45 and they opened at 10:30 and were short handed. I have to say that I was very disappointed that the burger came out mushy and was practically a melted goo. Way too much mayonnaise and onions together with a damp bun. Kid behind the counter went above and beyond to find a salt packet that wasn't wet. (Never did find one) He gave me extra dipping sauce though. Shakes were extra thick and super delish. First time ever having cookout and I am very pleasantly surprised. The reviews for this location weren't great but I personally think it was pretty nice! The bathrooms and dining area were clean and nice, staff was friendly and quick with orders. Food was delicious too! I got a Cajun chicken cook out tray with French fries and hush puppies and it was all awesome. They were a little heavy with the Mayo on my sandwich but it wasn't something that couldn't be fixed easy. Got a Hershey's chocolate milkshake and it was delicious! However, there were some great pros that I neeeed to mention. First of all- THE TRAY. Everyone swore by it, so naturally I had to try it. $4.99 for an entree, two sides and a drink, or you can upgrade to a shake for a DOLLAR. Amazing. I was blown away by the price. When I got the tray, I was a little underwhelmed. The portion sizes were not great, but then again, it was only $5. So not too shabby. I got the Oreo shake and I would definitely recommend. Super tasty. The chicken tenders were out of this world, however the fries were so-so. The menu is suuuper confusing so I would recommend sticking with the tray. Simple and fair priced.
