Delicious food, quick service, nice decor inside, and very reasonable if not on the cheaper side prices, especially considering how delicious the food was. Great music playing and waitress was attentive.

Minimal shade on the property though so it'll be real hot on warm days. I was disappointed when I walked up and there was a sign taped to the order window "No Ice Cream." I was definitely hoping to get a milkshake but had to pivot. Service at the window was efficient enough without much care/emotion. I ended up getting a hot dog and a cheeseburger. Dog was good. Nice blend of chili, slaw, and mustard. They use the red/pink dogs here so if you feel away about them (I think they're tasty), just keep that in mind. The burger was good. I appreciated the fresh slices of tomato, and, as you'll see it looked like a tomato sandwich because the tomatoes were larger than the burger patty. Still had good flavor. I'd be tempted to come back next time for an ice cream treat.

Just tried it on a Saturday afternoon and Patch Brewery is now on our list as a go to place. Not…read morethe Ritz, but for me, this place is how I like it. The beer, wine (by the bottle at the outside bar if you prefer), ciders, mixed drinks and food were great. No leftovers from us. Plenty to do inside and out with games, baseball and dog fields, at least two playgrounds, horseshoes and cornhole and... This place is pretty big. Even had a farmers market going on next to the parking lot. A clean place both inside and out offering tasty beverages and food from friendly staff. Order at the bar and pickup outside when the ringer/thingy goes off. Patrons where a mixed bag of young & old, some with kids and dogs with boundary fencing separating groups of tables. They do have an area separate from the rest for adults only on the other side of the outside bar. A little rough looking in spots like a place you might see in a marina environment or old bowling alley but kept up well, clean and very well appointed. Parking was a breeze.

I really would recommend a non-ipa beer "Chesterfield Secret Voyage", which has a high alcohol content. It was a nice smooth drinking malty brew! The staff at the counter were friendly and knowledgeable. We tried several sandwiches. Enjoyed the fried Chicken sandwiches which came with a side. We got the onion rings. Each sandwich was $13 which we felt was a bit overpriced but the food was good. The hot dog is $8 plus $1.50 for chili and cheese plus another $.50 for a tiny sprinkle of onions. The bun was hard and broken. Wife felt that she should have returned it and was way overpriced. The inside beer area was clean and roomy but very loud. They have a few arcade games and the kids were screaming.

Like, "did I just wander into a rustic resort?" levels of big and every corner has its own personality. First stop? The farm market. And listen... I could've spent my entire vacation budget right there. Shelves stacked with homemade canned goods, sauces, jams, salsa, pickled everything, and more pumpkins than Cinderella could handle. Total cozy-country heaven. The grounds are seriously gorgeous. You get these pockets of space that feel secluded and peaceful, almost like a secret beachy cabin retreat dropped into the Virginia mountains. There are tons of tables outside so you can sip and snack in the sunshine, plus a driving range, volleyball pits, and a giant "LOVE" sign that basically begs you to take a photo. Inside, the bar is warm, rustic, and charming the kind of spot that feels like it was built for good drinks and even better stories. They had a food truck the day we visited (I didn't see in-house food options), which just added to that relaxed, festival-by-the-lake feeling. Between the gorgeous scenery, the spacious layout, the drinks, and the vibes? This was easily one of my favorite stops on our travels. 10/10 would go back in a heartbeat.

Lovely decorations and definitely has a 50s feel to it. I got the bacon jalapeno burger omelette, fries and 2 slices of toast are included. The omelette was delicious and chock full of toppings, my only possible complaint would be that the cheese coverage didn't reach the far end. However, that can probably be specified beforehand and its not enough to knock of a star. Regardless of this, I loved it. The bacon and burger were full of flavor and the grilled jalapenos had just the right amount of spice. The grilled onions on top were a great touch. When you're done with your omelette and there's leftover toppings on the plate, you can use fries to sort of scoop them up (awesome). The service was also great. The waitress was talking to regulars, and even asked us what we were up to today. Food came out pretty quick and she asked us if we wanted refills the moment our cups were low. Overall, nice little place. Forgot to get a picture of the food because I was so focused on eating. If I ever come back through the area between the operating hours of 8 and 2 I will certainly be going here. If I happened to pass through after they closed I would probably break in for the pie. This is a must-visit for diner enthusiasts. The building sits on the north-south main thoroughfare…read morethrough historic downtown Farmville, an area once lined with tobacco warehouses. It is very small, with about fifteen stools wrapping around a classic service counter. According to the menu, the diner is a "One-Master Model 15-Stool Valentine steel building," made by Valentine Manufacturing Company of Wichita, Kansas, in 1955. They have a small parking lot in back of the diner. I parked there and then saw a bathroom entrance sign -- after a 2 1/2-hour trip, nature was calling. It is a very clean bathroom located at the rear of the building, with a separate entrance from the parking lot. There is no access to the restroom from inside the diner -- a unique and nostalgic feature you don't see much anymore. I walked around to the front of the building, entered, sat down on a stool, and was greeted with, "Y'all having a good day so far?" I had a half sweet/half unsweet tea and the Cheeseburger Deluxe with no mayonnaise. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickle chips, onions, French fries, and cole slaw. I put ketchup on the fries, but the fresh tomato alone provided plenty of flavor for the juicy, delicious burger. The French fries were crispy and delicious -- exactly what you hope for at a classic diner. The cole slaw was outstanding and clearly tasted homemade. The pies looked incredible, and because the cheeseburger platter was so good, I had a piece of blueberry buttermilk cake topped with whipped cream -- wow! There is also a clearly posted 3% surcharge if paying with a credit card. Prices are reasonable, so it didn't feel like an issue. This was a great overall experience, and I would recommend this classic, nostalgic mid-20th-century diner to anyone traveling through Farmville. It closes at 2 pm, so plan accordingly!
