On the very first night we moved to Lovingston, we went here for dinner. We just wanted to sit and rest while we ate our pizza. We went in about 35 minutes before close, and the older waitress was upset with us and mumbled, "You've got to be f****** kidding" when we asked to be seated. Yes, there were 5 of us, but we were only ordering pizza. We actually finished our pizza and left 10 minutes before closing and before other people who were already there when we arrived. I'm taking an opportunity to update my review for one of my favorite local restaurants. Food is always consistently good. My favorite Go-To is the Vito's Salad.....shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced onions and rolls of deli turkey meat and cheese. Service is awesome if Theresa or Shelby is serving you. Fantastic pizza here - Sal makes the best!! There is also a nice selection of sandwiches and wraps, as well as traditional Italian pasta dishes. There is usually music playing, but not too loud, and also a couple of TVs that are usually tuned to the Cooking Channel. Can't go wrong here!! read more

$30 for a mini pizza and grilled chicken parm over spaghetti . The pizza is bs idk how it's so hard to evenly distribute toppings on such a small pizza. To be excited to get my own lil pizza just for me and end up with what vitos gave me is disappointing. 4 pieces and some don't have any bacon whatsoever. They can't take few extra seconds to distribute ingredients but just lazy and sloppily chunk some in just a few spots. The ham is clumps and then none in other areas. It's sad something so so easy and what you charge so much for you can't actually just do a good job and make a pizza correctly. Living so far once in a while you wanna try to give a place another shot but this is just overpriced and not at all worth it wether it's a splurge or not. Your honestly better off if you want a good Italian meal or pizza is just makin a fun cooking session and doing your own, with most places hurting and doing take out only you would think they would want to ensure you continue to want to come back . Sal has always made the best chicken fettuccine Alfredo in town, but truth be told, without him it's not worth the nearly $20 per order (without a side salad, which is now $2 up charge-I'm sorry WHAT?). I don't know which factors contributed to this poor experience but my family (wife and two children under 3) walked in for dinner and waited to be seated. 3 minutes later, waitress said we could sit anywhere and she would bring us booster seats. After 15 minutes waiting by a table with kids on our laps and no one coming up to check on us or give us booster seats, we decided to leave. During that time the waitresses came out two times and one time she kept looking in our direction. Nice little place, with really good pizza. Dough tasted homemade, with a really good crisp on the bottom. Tons of ingredients on the combo. We also ordered mozzarella sticks, which were very good. The breading was very crunchy, unlike the soggy ones you get most places. Service was also very good and quick. We would definitely go back, and maybe try some of their Italian dishes. We stopped by this place on our drive through to northern Virginia. The chicken was seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection. The homemade chips were delicious and the pizza was good. The only thing that had some room for improvement was the waitress. She was a little busy and seemed to be the only one working the dining room at 1:30 on a holiday weekend. I really hate to give such a poor review of this restaurant because the food is super yummy and the owner really seems to care about his business. I haven't seen him in this location for a while and it seems the customer service is suffering. I've tried to get food here for a couple times in the last month, and the first time, I paid for an extra dressing that wasn't included in my order. It wasn't really a big deal... I mean... 50 cents down the drain for nothing... but still, no big deal. I didn't complain and I certainly wasn't going to drive 20 miles to pick up a missing dressing. The food was good. So I called the other day and tried to order the bacon fries with a blue cheese instead of ranch. The woman on the phone said "well, it comes with ranch, anything extra you'll have to pay for". So I said to her, not rudely but directly, that the last time I did an order through them I had paid for an extra dressing that hadn't been included and asked if, considering that had happened, I could just have a blue cheese instead of a ranch. I mean, I don't know why substituting a dressing is a big deal anyways. I think the young woman who took my order had little or no training in customer service, to be frank. I mean, she was basically hassling me over a dressing. She went on to ask "but didn't you call!?"... "If something is wrong you have to call to let us know"... I told her I didn't call because it wasn't a big deal. It really wasn't, but she turned it into one. She said she'd do it for me this one time but that next time I needed to call to let them know if something was wrong with my order. At this point I was hesitant to even go pick up my order. I was afraid she was going to be rude to me and make a scene. Lordy. The thing is, if you pay for an extra dressing here, chances are they won't put it in. Also, it's dressing, not gold. I mean, I understand food costs but is it a good idea to put a regular customer off by being pushy over it? I don't think so. I think that's poor customer service. I had already placed the order so I did go into pick it up. That's when things got even worse. I walked to the register to get the order I'd placed and the young woman at the register said "you know, we're totally out of French fries"... haha, really? Seriously? She asked me if I wanted something else, and I really didn't. I was going to make burgers and just wanted to grab a side to go with them. I don't like onion rings, didn't want cheese sticks, sigh. She said "I don't know who took your order but they should have let you know we're out of fries". :( Oh lordy. What an awful experience all around. I really like the food there, I do, and everyone has always been friendly and customer service oriented, but that last experience was awful enough, that I don't think I'll go back. I work hard for my money and I don't believe in paying to be given a hard time. I don't think I'll go back for fear a similar situation will occur. So, I guess that one girl created a debacle over a 50 cent dressing and a 6 dollar order of fries that lost the restaurant a loyal regular customer. Ok so me & my work crew aren't from this area, but have been staying here while out of town for work. First I want to say that the customer service is INCREDIBLE. I think our waitress name is Nicole, she blew it out of the water. Funny, sweet, and made sure our food was just how we wanted it. So we brought our own BBQ sauce in because it's so damn good and we wanted it with our meal. We forgot it when we left and were absolutely heart broken cause it was just that good. So I called the next day asking if they still had it (I was really doubtful) AND YA KNOW WHAT!? They had the sauce. In the kitchen. They SAVED IT. Honestly, complete goddess, all of them. So we came in and ate the next day since we were already there to retrieve "The Sauce". Again, FANTASTIC customer service. The food was also bangin BOTH times. They made our pizza exactly the way we wanted it. 10/10 would go back to if we are ever in town again. -PS. That was the most beautiful lava cake we ever did seen read more

Sal has opened his second location in Nellysford on Rt 151. I had dinner there last Tuesday. The parking lot was full and the restaurant busy but we had no wait and were seated promptly. He has transformed the old building into a very cozy and comfortable space. We met some friends from out of town there and enjoyed a leisurely dinner. I had the fresh cod on a bed of spinach topped with mushrooms. It was outstanding and at $16 including a salad quite reasonable. His menu is extensive and there are about 12 beers on tap including some local brews. read more
