After getting some food at The Market at Locust Grove, I had gotten a few miles down the road and I realized I was still very hungry. The problem? No meat after wine! Luckily a fast food restaurant was coming up at the intersection of Constitution Highway (Route 20) and Route 3. So I pulled into the McDonald's, went inside, ordered myself a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and a small coffee. I took it to go, as I got into the car and bit into the burger, I was struck by how non-greasy the burger was. I am used to McDonald's burgers being greasy. This one was not - in fact - it has to be one of the tastiest fast food burgers outside of a BK that I've had in long time! It definitely hit the spot! And caffeine! Gooooooooood! Sitting outside of the McDonald's were some folks collecting for the Lion's Club - for a White Cane initiative for folks with visual impairments and blindness. I spent 40 minutes sitting in the drive-thru before finally reaching the window. When I got there, I was handed a bag of food and an ice cream and told that they still needed to make my fries and drink. I was then asked to pull around near the front door. I sat there for an additional 8 minutes waiting for someone to bring the rest of my order while the food I had already received was getting cold and the ice cream was melting. After already waiting 40 minutes, I became increasingly concerned that I had been forgotten, so I went inside to make sure someone was aware that I was still waiting.There was only one employee working the register who was assisting other customers, so I tried to get the attention of the woman I had dealt with in the drive-thru. She initially ignored me and then proceeded to drop fries into the fryer. A few moments later, she handed me my drink and fries. I explained my concerns and pointed out that I had been waiting for several additional minutes for fries that I had literally just watched her put into the fryer. I also mentioned that three other vehicles had left the drive-thru while I was still waiting for my order. The manager, whom I later learned was named Dominga, walked away while I was still trying to explain my concerns. When I asked for her name, she continued to ignore me, so the young man working at the counter was the one who told me her name. I am extremely disappointed with how Dominga handled this situation. As a manager, you are the face of your establishment, and part of your responsibility is to listen to customers when they have legitimate concerns. I wasn't expecting anything unreasonable -- a simple acknowledgment or apology for the excessive wait would have been enough. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've experienced employees at this McDonald's being short or dismissive toward customers. I've previously let those experiences go, especially since many of the employees appeared to be young adults or teenagers. However, tonight's interaction with a manager was especially disappointing. To make matters worse, my food was cold by the time I received the complete order, and the chicken nuggets tasted as though they had been cooked in old or contaminated grease, with a noticeable fishy taste. After waiting nearly 50 minutes in total, being dismissed when I tried to address the issue, and receiving food that was not up to standard, I am extremely disappointed with this experience. Dominga, you need to do better. Customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially when they have legitimate concerns about the service they received. Unfortunately, because of both the customer service and the quality of the food, I will not be returning to this McDonald's. read more

I pulled up to this location at about 8:20 PM on a Sunday night. The restaurant is supposed to be open until 11:00 PM on Sundays. Both drive-thru lanes were closed. Big orange cones were blocking both lanes. I tried to see in the windows as I drove past. I saw just one person, a McDonalds worker turning chairs over and putting them on the tables, like you would at closing. I couldn't believe it! It appears they closed the restaurant at 8:00 PM. That's nuts! I couple days earlier, at this same location, when I ordered "cook-to-order" fries (to try to ensure hot fries instead of cold), when my order finally arrived, the fries container was only half filled with fries. ONCE AGAIN.....crappy service; yet I keep hoping things will get better. ‍. Went through the drivethru @9:13pm and gave them my code for my mobile order. Asked for slivered onions on my sandwhich and the teller said "I got you". Mind you, there was 1 car in front of me and maybe customers inside. Went there's a drive-through received old fries and my granddaughter was missing her juice in her happy meal the nuggets they could've been cooked a little bit longer. in fairness to being busy and we came back Saturday night, we waited almost 30 minutes for two Apple pies. my husband got two cheeseburgers, which were good and I got chicken nuggets which were good this time again the fries were not super hot and no salt. The cashier seems a little bit rude like she's aggravated. A lot of playing the alarms have been going off and no one is getting the fry baskets ... super aggravating when you're trying to have dinner. read more

Driving my mom back from UVA hospital stopped for a Burger. Went through the drive thru started giving our order, all I heard over speaker was someone was going on break, I could see our order that was started on the screen, waited for someone to come back on, watched other vehicles order and leave on the second drive thru. After waiting for awhile I drove around the building back to the same drive thru, our order still up on the screen, someone new placed our order.. great except the burgers were cold, the French fries were soggy and cold. Don't waste your time. Placed an order in the parking lot using the app. Waited an hour for the manager to sling my food on the counter, order was incomplete mind you. And mis pronounce the name instead of calling the order number. In fact the most seamless part of the whole transaction was me getting a refund. Moved in the area over a year ago. Sad this local McDonald's has never provided me with kind or quick service. It makes me wonder if they are under staffed. Saturday night drive thru from entry to exit, 30 minutes. Once it took me 40! Two workers on their phone laughing. Another one drinking a milkshake. Food is hit or miss, but not "fast" food. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Customer service is horrible. Using drive thru? Bring a sleeping bag and tent. Manager? You get what you pay for and they must not be paying much. We spent $33+ at this McDonalds yesterday. The two kids meals were missing the apple slices, didn't receive any ketchup and one French fry was thrown in the box upside down! My quarter pounder with bacon had obviously been prepared hours before I got it. It was dry and the bacon and pickle were imbedded in the bun. At some point there had been ketchup on the bun but it was soaked up in the bread and dried out. It was the worst burger I have ever had at a McDonalds! I threw it in the trash as it really wasn't edible. A total waste of money.... We are done with McDonalds. read more

This location is known as the bad McDonald's to my family. It is a rare occurrence to actually get hot food there. Every time I think I should give them another chance I wind up regretting it. The fries they serve are disgusting. Cold, greasy and rubbery. I don't know how you screw up French fries ‍ It's like they're cooking them and then reheating them in the oil. Food was cold. My total was $18.44 and I gave the drive through cashier $20.45. He gave me back $1.81 and I told him his error that he was supposed to give me $2.01back and he is going to sit there and argue with me saying that I only gave him .25 cents. Stopped by the drive thru going from Culpeper to Fredericksburg and it will definitely be my last visit ever. I ordered 4 cheeseburgers, no ketchup, extra mustard and add light mayo. After the speaker operator cussing in the background repeatedly as I made my special order, I noted they had a $.35 charge per sandwich for the mayo (been doing this for years and never had issue before) and asked for the mayo to be removed (again hearing more cussing in the background when I made the change.) When I got to the drive thru window, I was told my special order would be right up and then asked to move to a "wait" slot. When my bag was brought out, I told the lady there were no french fries in the back. She returned to the store and returned the bag a few minutes later, I thanked her and as I was getting ready to pull out, I opened the bag and there were no fries. I got out of my car and went inside where I was met with another attitude of "what size did you order?" They were thrown in my bag and bag handed back to me. Really nice memorable event. We came to this location and everything was just okay except for my quarter pounder with cheese. The bun was hard and cold then I touched the beef patty and it too was ice cold. Are you kidding me? This burger was not just made! I've been coming to McDs for 50 years and this is the first cold burger I have ever gotten there. So we are on route 1 and had to inconveniently turn around to get another one. No apology, no cup of water for my 8 minutes of waiting, just hands me the burger and walks away not a word. This location offers slightly better service than most. I advise anyone to check their bags before leaving the drive through because they have continued to make mistakes on orders in the past. Their drive through does not work well but I have never had an issue when have I ordered inside. I ordered pancake & sausage and a large coffee. Told the lady at the window need a couple creamers and some Splenda since the guy who took my order didn't ask. Got to my location found no sausage with my pancakes but what I did find was disgusting. It was spiraling and green on the top pancake and it had to come from someone's nose.
