Stopped in on a Friday morning for some caffeine. Ordered a cold brew with Half n' Half. Drink came up quickly and was strong and tasty. It got the ole neurons firing as they should. There is a decent amount of seating inside. However, when I visited, every table except for one was occupied. This is a nice local coffee house. Really great flavors, a little pricey but it is locally owned

I came in yesterday for an iced latte, which tasted like ice cream, so I asked if it could be remade or if a shot could be added as it was only milk/sweeter. The barista said he couldn't and I would need to pay and seemed very uncomfortable that I was asking (sorry my drink was not good) but eventually remade it after the other barista said it was ok to remake. They came out with a second drink that was just as sweet. Won't be revisiting -- I don't get how you can butcher a latte, I would've rather got a refund since I had to go elsewhere to get a coffee afterwards. :( read more

Coffee Stop No. 354 My morning cortado was enjoyed in the company of two of my coffee buddies. They giggle and call me crazy when I tell them I went to 6 coffee shops in a day, but they are always the first to say, "Take me with you!" Such a great little coffee shop! I had an iced white mocha and it was perfect. So many other places are obnoxiously sweet and end up leaving me feeling sick to my stomach, but that wasn't the case this time. A lot of shops also blare music making it difficult to have a conversation, but it was the perfect level here, and my friend and I could actually have a decent conversation. First time at Grounds Coffeehouse. The place was clean with good amount of seating space. After a hot hike, I was looking for quality iced espresso drinks. I was happy to see frozen espresso drinks but was partially concerned about it possibly being diluted. Decided to try it anyway and ordered frozen caramel macchiato with almond milk. The staff greeted me and quickly took our orders. The batista made the drink to the order I was utterly surprised on how good this was. First visit on a Saturday morning and it was very pleasant! The pastries and hot tea selections were unique and plentiful. I am not a coffee drinker but my friend enjoyed the coffee flight. I always love when I can drink my coffee as is with no cream or sugar, to me that is the true test of a great coffee!!! As if the drinks were not enough let me tell you about another great find, the all mighty Stafford Cookie!!! Picture this, an oatmeal raisin cookie with craisins and white chocolate chips, if you are not drooling by now, you should be!!! The cookie was soft and broke into pieces easily and each bite was like a surprise in every bite!!! Will you get all the ingredients, some of the ingredients, none of ingredients, you literally have to keep eating the cookie to see what was next!! I first learned of The Grounds in 2019 after searching for an escape that didn't have me feel like I was "stuck" in Stafford; The Grounds Coffeehouse offered just that. For the small town itself, The Grounds offers the best coffee. Located in the Stafford Complex the decor inside is light and airy. Their blend of choice comes from a local roastery in Columbus, Ohio known as Armando's Blend by Crimson Cup Coffee. They have coffee flights!! The inside is very clean and cozy. The service is quick but depending on what time you get there, there may not be anywhere for you to sit. The coffee selections are really nice but if I'm being honest the bagels are $4 and they are mini bagels. Other than that I really don't have any complaints. I'm pretty rough on coffee shops because they're everywhere. It seems like Starbucks is on every other corner, and all remaining corners are taken up by other folks selling burnt coffee. But The Grounds is a hidden gem. This place appears to focus on three things; quality coffee (from farm to cup), comfortable & clean environment, and very friendly service. The coffee here is high quality, and I'm talking about the black coffee and espresso. This is the base for all other drinks and what really matters at a coffee shop. If can't get this right, nothing else will matter. The environment is really clean and comfortable. It's not dark and dingy, it's a bright room with natural sunlight. If you're looking for somewhere to sit down and kill time, have a talk, or do work, I would recommend it. Lastly, I waited to write this review because the establishment is new, so the staff can be slow. It's all learning lessons though as the service has improved drastically. It's all on time though for staff as they improve. Moral of the story: if The Grounds is near your home, it's highly qualified (and highly recommended) to be your neighborhood coffee shop. read more

While out running errands on a Saturday, we stopped in to this new coffee shop on Rt610 to give them a try. I really liked the "white out" style of décor inside, it was trendy and reminds me of a country dining room. They have an interesting drink menu and also serve some baked goodies. I chose their pumpkin cookie and it was really tasty, but way too small for the price of $2 each. (BTW - all cookies were $2 each, whether it was this little cookie or their harvest cookie which was nearly 3 times bigger). We ordered a couple of Americanos which seemed to take forever to make. We even commented to each other on the amount of time we were waiting. The espresso in the drink was nice, but overall it needed another shot as it was way too weak, and I drink mine black. This was still a decent visit and we chalk the few concerns we had up to being new... We'll probably return in a couple of months and see if things have improved. read more

But my favorite that i didn't expect is that caramel machiatto. I usually stray away from these because most places use a caramel that is just sickly sweet. Beautiful interior! The bright welcoming feeling at The Grounds Coffeehouse was great. They had several items of merchandise for sale as well. The menu was easy to read and aesthetically pleasing. They do not have oat milk but they do offer coconut and almond milk. I was very pleased that my iced Carmel coffee was not to sweet, as many other shops do.
