We recently visited this location and we were originally attracted to it by the sign that said that…read morethey sold boba tea there. I was excited to give this place a try - but what others have said is true - there is an extremely pungent smell of (what I believe is) mold that's rampant throughout the room. I had to cover my nose while I was there because it was so overbearing. At the desk, there were an assortment of other pastries and bakery items that were out for display - but what I noticed was that one of the pastries had a massive amount of what I believed was mold growing on top of it. It was discolored gray and I couldn't help but stare at it. The lady that tended to us was kind enough, but I think it's just her tending the store. I didn't see anyone else there and she walked out to the back to make the tea drinks for us. Judging by the state of the front of the store - I was really curious to see the state of the store in the back. The tea I drank was okay. It didn't taste completely off, but it was generic. Sugary. The state of the location had just set me off so much I didn't feel comfortable continuing to consume it. Frankly, we sort of expected better. If nothing else, the very harsh smell needs to be removed. There were enough indicators there for me to suspect there's a lot of mold growing somewhere within that room.

Take your "tyme" and relax at this sweet tearoom! It's cute, but not as prim as some other tearoom…read moreI've been to. There are plastic covers on the chairs, which is practical yes, but takes away from the formality of a tearoom. A couple of the tables were wobbly, and I think they could use one or two smaller tables for twosomes and threesomes. The paper napkins were wrapped the utensils with a cute ribbon which was a nice touch for paper napkins. The main drawback: There was literally a little waste receptacle ON the table! Definitely not appropriate. There's a sort of creepy yet quirky robot that greets you at the front door. It evidently speaks different languages. She's cute though! Her name is Rose. The Victorian afternoon tea was nice, you know okay. I had the cucumber sandwiches (and added chicken salad sandwich for an upcharge) and the tea for $16.95 came with a mini cupcake, a mini scone and a mini cookie. The cuke sandwich was lightly toasted and fresh, the chix salad was on wheat and too mayonnaise-y for my taste. The sweets were delicious. You can choose your sandwich from several options, and your flavor of scone. Today the had raspberry white chocolate, orange cranberry, and blueberry. The Earl Grey cream tea was hot and fresh. Nicely steeped! The teapot and the tea accoutrements were all pretty! The server, Jamie, was sweet and helpful. The shop was also filled to the brim with gifts: jewelry, tea things, figurines, ornaments, candles, soaps and other knickknacks. While I was there the tearoom filled up quickly! Families and guys enjoyed their tea times. However, the ladies behind me were quite loud and rude playing videos loudly of their kids doing "cute" things. So gauche! So uncouth! Not tearoom manners at all! I wanted to take their phones! Ugh! Several customers walked in and ordered from the counter with a large selection of smoothies, boba tea, bubble tea, chai teas, milk teas, coffees, and milkshaplus a huge selection of regular teas: black, herbal, green and white teas. I'd come back, but don't expect the typical English tea experience. It's a bit more low key and casual. Unless you have a large party, you can just walk in without a reservation. I did come back! It was nice that on a Friday, they were open late and we were able to grab a bite! Service was slow on this day because I think only one person was minding the store! I chose the Buckingham Palace tea this time!!

Service alone was super attentive and friendly! We got the Arnold Palmer dupe (ask for the lemonade…read moreless sweet, otherwise default is too sweet). The strawberry matcha was made from homemade puree and delicious (one of the best I've ever had!)

Well this was unexpected…read more.. Okay.So first, they have friendly people who really know the restaurant that they're in, which is kind of cool. And this place is amazingly clean. So we got pies, me and my wife.We got pies. I got the meat pie.The very first one on the list and I have to tell you it was great. I did make a mistake though. If I had to do it all over again, I would wait till it cools a little bit. I would not cut it in half. I would very carefully remove that top crusty layer, ohh, my god, what a feast of flavor. Secondly, for god's sake, don't cut the d*** thing in half. Use the little plastic fork and knife and cut about an inch and a half or two inches of the crust off of one edge of the pie. This does two things first. It lets you taste this amazing crust by itself. And on its own and trust me, it does stand alone. That when the pie cools a little bit more, then, you can pick it up and eat it from one edge, All the way through to the other edge. Because if you cut it in half, you have to deal with the widest part twice. And that gets it all over your face. But hey, if you're a face eater, go all the way. We got the dessert pie, it was small. We cut it in half, and we each had half. And that was easy to deal with in half. But make no mistake, this is a good meal. And they have so many options. And might I say good options. Now, I have to come back so many times to be able to try all the different kinds. However, if you're just driving through and you want something to grab and take in the car with you. Yup this is the stop. This is the place you want to get into and out of quickly because you can get in and out quickly. I would venture to say, with the average time in a mcdonald's being around twenty five minutes just to get your food, you can probably get real food here faster unless they're really busy. That happens if they're really busy, just be patient. It's worth the wait.

Well many has claim to have found a hidden gem therefore I'm grateful to have step foot in this…read moreestablishment. It is located in Southpoint/ Spotsylvania area in a strip mall with other businesses such as Gourmeltz and Mexico Palace. As you walked in, restaurant is spacious, clean and has a ginormous wall printed decor. You make your order at the counter and it is brought to your table. I ordered 5 items: 1) Beef Shoyu Ramen 2) Unagi Rice Bowl 3) Spicy Soy Garlic Wings 4) Matcha Milk Tea 5) Lychee Rose Fruit Tea. If you have a large order and dining in, just be patient and they will bring all items to you. As both beverages arrive to the table, the matcha milk tea was silky and smooth whereas the lychee rose fruit tea is not overpowering and you can taste each ingredient as it swirls around in your mouth. They are both refreshing and delicious. If you wish to add boba you can in your beverages. The unagi (grilled eel) rice bowl looks very scrumptious, filled to the rim served with steamed rice, fresh cucumbers, shredded carrots, pickled daikon and topped with sweetened soy glazed grilled eel fillets. Once incorporated together, your first spoonful won't be disappointed but yet satisfying. When you make your selection for the variety of ramen bowls, there's also additional toppings that you can add to your bowl too. The beef shoyu ramen arrives to the table in a unique pottery black bowl. It is gently display with noodles on the bottom, sliced beef, bok choy, seasoned boiled egg, dry nori, and added other toppings such as corn, tofu, and garnish with chopped cilantro, scallions, and sesame seeds. The first thing I did was tasting the broth and it didn't disappoint. It was exquisite savory, flavorful and light. The noodles were soft, tender and the entire bowl was aromatic and complex. My palate was jumping for joy. Lastly, the spicy soy garlic wings had a nice crunch, the soy garlic thick sauce really coats the wings but that chicken was so juicy, tender and incredible. With all of the items ordered, I will definitely get it again! Our multi-tasker guy was Alex. He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. I will definitely make a return visit to try other items on their menu. This place was worth the visit.

We happened to drive by this town and decided to stop in for quick poke dinner -- so glad we did!…read more My partner ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen -- hands down one of the best ramen bowls we've had in a while. Rich, flavorful broth, and he added spicy chili and extra meat for personal preference. I tried the build-your-own poke bowl with the house fusion sauce and spicy mayo -- highly recommend! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Spicy Soy Garlic wings were delicious too -- crispy with a sweet, savory glaze. Not super spicy, more on the mild side, but very tasty. A lot of choice with drinks. We got a mango cloud drink, texture is more of slushy and was very refreshing. We ordered at the counter but you can order with the self order pad. Very spacious with plenty of seats. Overall, a great find with excellent food and easy parking.
