Not sure what's up with the McDonalds located on Antonio in Ladera Ranch but this place has THE worst drive thru service of all McDonalds in all the world! Slow service and their attempt of implementing dual ordering lanes is counter intuitive since you enter through one entry way, split to two ordering stations and exit out a single lane. It causes bottlenecks and confusion for everyone. If you don't proceed in the same sequence as you order (which happens all the time), then you have the potential of receiving someone else's order! i went in and SPECIFICALLY asked for a burger without the meat. she literally clarified and said "so no meat?" and i said yes no meat. i also requested a large fry AND. a side of pickles. i then picked up my food to find 3 burgers with meat no side of pickles and no large fry. i am so disappointed in this service. all the while the lady's as giving us dirty looks for ordering so much food. i consider this body shaming. we also ordered a large dr pepper and they gave us a MEDIUM dr pepper this is body shaming. read more

The bathrooms were clean when I came in. The cashier was nice and the dining room was pretty clean too. Also their wifi's free so there's that! It's just like my experience with other Mcdonald's restaurants though lol. Maybe I should use their drive thru next time but idk. read more

I placed an order for pickup via the mobile app. 2 happy meals for my kids. We drove up and waited for our order to be brought out. Once we got our order I opened the happy meals and there were no fries in either meal. Just burgers and a toy. I tried calling quite a few times but no answer. The drive through line was a wrapped around the building and going toward the street. Again calling, but no answer. So I had to get in line of the drive through to get the fries since my kids were upset, and to get what we paid for. So we get in the drive though and wait for 15 mins. At this point we had been there 25 minutes. I get to the speaker and tell the person we didn't get our fries and we wanted them so he told me I don't know if we can do anything...and he would have to check with someone. Like WHAT? And then he told me to ask at the window. So I drove to the window, still in line- and told the person at the first window (pay window) I was just there to collect our fries we didn't get. She tried to tell me I had to select fries on the app- even though I did, and that it wouldn't come with them. All happy meals come with fries - the mini or the small If toy select extra fries. So I went to the second window and told her the same thing. She told me they had no fries ready and to wait in the reserved parking spot and someone would bring them. So I pulled forward and waited another 15 minutes. I watched so many cars exit the drive through and highly doubt not one single person left without ordering fries. Still nothing. We had been there for 40 mins at this point so I had to pull around and go inside. I complained to whoever was at the front we just wanted our fries and this customer service was AWFUL. There were a huge pile of fries there waiting to be bagged up in orders so obviously they had fries.... he finally handed me the fries and there seemed to be no explanation or willingness to communicate the mishap to any of the employees I had encountered. Which was 5 total. So upset and won't be returning. read more

I use the drive-thru for my morning coffee and, while most of the employees are very courteous and friendly, this morning I had the pleasure of being served by Ian. McDonald's. Hmm. I'd rate 2 star because every single time I go, I get delicious food but they either never give me a straw, or half the time my food order is wrong. But I'll do 3 star because they still give me my money back and give me the correct item. But, just today I asked for a McChicken and they did put it on my receipt and everything, but when I got home I saw that I had a McRib and 30 pc. chicken nugget. I asked for nothing of the like. If you're walking in, it's an average eating experience. The food may not be organic, but it's surely delicious! I always order up a 20pc mcnugget with a large Dr Pepper. But, if you're heading to the drive-thru, you had better make SURE to check your bag. Because those numb-skulls always mess up your order (or at least 85% of the time). read more

5 stars for the MORNING crew who are ALWAYS fast, friendly, efficient and get my SF vanilla iced coffee done perfectly! BUT, the weekend/afternoon crew is probably where most of the low ratings are accounted for. I had a few mishaps, called corporate and they sent me an apology letter w/a few free meal cards. The owner also sent me a letter with so many grammar errors that I literally laughed out loud, but did appreciate the few gift cards. My suggesion to corporate: TRAINING, TRAINING AND MORE TRAINING! The morning crew rocks, not sure why the afternoon/weekend crew has a hard time getting orders correctly, but if enough of us voice concerns to corporate (not just Yelp), then maybe something will be done to get them on track. If I didn't like my coffee so much, I'd not bother...but it's the ONE thing I really do like and the sundaes are good too. read more

Three visits this week and three times they messed up my order. Why do I bother to go there? Why can't 16 year old kids read a freakin' order and put the correct items into a bag? This place gets one star only because in order to submit a review, I have to mark at least one. They have never ever got my order correctly. Strange since they are just about the slowest drive thru or inside. Sad when you actually have to pull over after getting your order to count your nuggets. And do you really have to ask for napkins? I have yet to see them voluntarily place napkins in my drive thru order. I think McDonald's is great for its predictability and consistency. It's not health food but its quick convenient and you know what you're gonna get. You get none of this at this location. I love McDonald's coffee and they even messed that up. I keep returning thinking things will change but it seems like ill just have to keep double checking my orders and receipts... Yes. We stop here for breakfast on weekends when we're on the go and need something quick. My biggest issue is the service....frankly, it's terrible. Their order accuracy is sooooo bad that we have issue on half of our orders. Last weekend, on an order for 5 items, they made 3 mistakes. That's just ridiculous. read more

Don't go here. The food is dangerous and they do not have proper conditions for your child. I saw this three times and finally had to write a review. You bank on Mc Donald's for safety. My child has a sever allergy to peanuts and they use Reese's cup in their McFlurry's. How stupid is this. They take the time to package all of their peanuts for the sundae's but have loose free flowing mashed Reese's Cup flying around the cooking area. They claim it's in a separate area but I don't see anyone with gloves making these deserts. This really is a shame from such a respectable company. My child's life is compromised because of the need to make money. Mc Donald's would rather make money than keep my child safe. So many children have peanut allergies these days and that is not their concern. Their concern is making money. They obviously have thought of it because they take the time and expense to package their peanuts for the sundae's. But the all mighty dollar wins out when it comes to the Mc Flurry's. Some bean counter in their company weighed out the lawsuits versus profit they could make from a Reese's desert and a child's life was worth less than the profit that could be made. They should be ashamed of their company and themselves. The CEO is obviously a money hungry ass that only cares about his big pay check.. Which is worth more than my child's life. Ladera McDonald's has a good drive thru. Would be nice at the walk in to add more than one register to be open. Typically they have 10-12 people in the front area, and at least one of them could open a new register. When the drive through backs up, the walk in should still be functional. read more

If it was possible to give this location negative stars that's how I would rate this location! This is the worst possible Mc Donald's EVER! I kid you not. I ordered my order in perfectly spoken English, 3 kids meals - 3 cheese burgers no pickles, 2 juice boxes, 1 soda...what I received was...3 kids meals no toys first of all...went up to the counter and requested toys...sat back down...we open our meals and my daughters and I bite into our burgers AND...2 of the three burgers had pickles...I sucked it and ate and send my daughter to request a new burger...She came back with the SAME burger with the bite out of it with EXTRA pickles...yes, I repeat the SAME burger! I was LIVID! I stormed up to the counter steaming asking to speak to the manager and explained to the manager and she looked at me with a blank stare and asked what I wanted? A cheeseburger with what? I was ready to go nuts! How dare they treat my daughter as if she didn't matter and try to giver her back a eaten burger and not rectify their mistake.
