Stopped by the newly remodeled McDonald's on Alto Road in Kokomo, and while the update looks sharp, I'm honestly not a fan of the new direction. They removed the drinking fountains, which feels inconvenient, and with less human interaction overall, it's harder to ask quick questions or get simple help. On the plus side, the parking lot is plentiful and set up in a one-way flow, so getting in and out was surprisingly efficient. The drive-thru moved quickly too, which I didn't expect for a busy time of day. Inside, the restroom was clean, and the kiosk ordering worked fine. I was able to use my coupon without any issues. Even though the layout isn't really my preference, the place still served its main purpose, which was to order, eat, and go. Food came out at a normal pace and the dining area was tidy. Waited more than 30 mins in drive thru. They gave us our food at the window then parked us for another 20 mins to bring our drinks.

Went here to get some chicken nuggets, and 24 hours later I found myself with awful food poisoning. Throwing up for hours on end. Do NOT go here. Not only that, but it took them 20 minutes just to get me the food I ordered. read more

Just sat in the drive thru for literally 20 minutes. When I FINALLY got my order, I checked the bag to make sure everything looked right and I pulled away. Apparently when getting food here, you have to actually take the time to unwrap your items AND taste your drink before pulling away, because they somehow, after having 20 minutes to prepare my food, managed to give me the wrong sandwich, and screw up a really simple coffee order. What a terrible way to start my 4 hour trip back home. Also last night I ran through to get fries and a standard burger, and waited 5 minutes AFTER I had pulled up to the pick up window because the guy working that station decided that preparing the seemingly 17 drinks for the guys in the truck behind me was apparently more important than even starting to gather the items for the person who was already there staring at him. At least they didn't screw up the order that time, though the fries were super tasteless and disappointing. Avoid eating here like the plague. read more

I try to avoid this McDonald's like the plague. It's decent during the day, but don't expect your order correct from dinner time through the late night. My orders have been messed up several times, and service is pretty slow sometimes. The last time I visited this location, they asked me to pull into a drive-thru parking spot. After about 10 minutes of waiting, we found out they gave our order to a different car and they had to remake it. So not only did I not get the right order, someone else got the wrong order, too. The worst experience was, I ordered a large fry, and when I got home, I noticed they were cold. My fiance went back to replace them, and when he brought them back, they were very stale and gross. I called the manager on duty (this was during the late evening), and she said she would put my name in a book, and I could come in anytime and get a replacement fry. I went back a week later, and they had no clue where my name was in the book. So either it was never written down, or they just have poor organizational skills. Our experience was with drive thru. Waited ~22min for our order of 2 fries and one Egg-McMuffin around midnight. Guy at drive-thru kept wiping his hands on his pants, and kept touching the top of the 40 gallon trash can sitting right next to him; then he handled food and made drinks with those same hands. no one ever came out to bring our food, we had to go inside and remind them we had an order and had already paid....... read more

On Sunday October 18th at 2:11 p.m. I was next at the drive thru to pick up the Coke I ordered. I was at the McDonald's at Alto Rd & US 931 in Kokomo. The SUV in front of me took forever to order and was now taking forever at the window. After a minute I heard him yell at the poor girl trying to accommodate him "No, I will not pull ahead! I am in a hurry!" A few minutes later he yelled "I am in a hurry! No, I will not pull ahead!" The gal was great she never raised her voice she simply asked him to pull forward as to not hold up the rest of the line. Finally I thought he would leave when the gal handed him his food & told him to please come back; I was wrong. Mr Drama King started a new rampage "Oh now you did it! I am not leaving get your manager!" then "you know what you did! I said get your manager!" He then started yelling to another person that was parked a few feet in front of him how rude they were. I would have left if I could have gotten my vehicle out of line. While pointing his finger at the gal he yelled "yes I am holding up your line, get your manager!" Finally he pulled ahead. The manager apologized to me for my wait & handed me my Coke. It was 2:29. I had to turn sharply to avoid Mr Drama King because now he was pulled along side the other vehicle. I have a new appreciation for the drive thru employees. I work in customer service also and always take into consideration there are rude people out there that just try to get someone onto trouble whenever someone calls in on one of my drivers. I visit this store because it is close. But I'm fed up. Just went through the drive thru ordered 2 fish light sauce, 20 pc nuggets, large ff. I SPECIALLY TOLD THEM (MADE TO ORDER) so it would be hot and fresh. Even told them I would pull forward and wait. NONE of the food they sent out to me is fresh or hot. Barely even warm. This store lately has went to pot. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there if you want fresh, hot food. Going to drive a little further and find another restaurant. read more

McDonalds is McDonalds and nobody expects a fine dining experience. However, I really don't think it is asking too much to actually be served what you've ordered and paid for. Essentially in this place don't order anything except the preset meal deals. Since they are awful, best would be to skip this one and go to another place. Sunday 26-June 9:30am I ordered a McGriddle and an OJ. I repeated the order 3 times to the clerk, and by the way this was inside the place, not the drive through. I received a McGriddle and hash browns, and the manager serving it told me that that was what the ticket said, so it must be what I ordered. Ok to say this mcds is bad would be a compliment. The crew are always too busy to help a customer. And when u complain the managers just blow u off. I say skip this mcds and eat outta the garbage. the only good thing i can say about this resturant is most of the time it s clean, but that doesnt make up for the poor poor service . read more
