However, they were fast, the food was just made for me, and the guy working the drive thru understood English and was friendly! Got a quarter pounder meal. The burger was just off the grill, the bun was super fresh and there wasn't an entire onion like most McD's likes to pile on their burgers. Tonight, I experienced betrayal. I've been faithfully supporting this McDonald's for over 10 years, and never not once have they done me like this. I'm 2 months postpartum. I spent all day fighting Seattle traffic with a newborn. The only thing keeping me going was the thought of my McDonald's Cookie Tote waiting for me at home. That tote wasn't just dessert... it was emotional support. I sent the man of the house to pick up dinner. Sweet, innocent soul. He walks through the door with nuggets, burgers, fries... the whole feast. He gets to the bottom of the bag... Nothing. No Cookie Tote. Y'all... I went through every stage of grief in about 12 seconds. So I called McDonald's. Employee: "You can come back and get them." Sir... respectfully... have you ever tried loading a newborn into a car seat for cookies? Because I have, and the answer is absolutely not. I asked if I could just get a refund or swing by tomorrow. He says, "I can send you a coupon." "Perfect," I thought. This man puts me on hold for 1 minute and 47 seconds, comes back, and asks for my mailing address. My... mailing address. You mean to tell me my Cookie Tote is now traveling by the United States Postal Service? So instead of eating my cookies tonight, I'm apparently entering a waiting period while the Pony Express delivers my compensation. Ten years of loyalty... and this is how our relationship ends. Probably the worst McDonald's on the Peninsula. They have served the wrong orders, bad food, and made other such horrible mistakes time and time again, for many years. And it's kind of too bad because there aren't any other fast food drive through places in this little town. I think it's them and the Cup and Muffin next door is about it. I will say though that in their favour are the staff who do their very best to give quality service. Over the years they've gotten to know our names, and they are always generally friendly. Their former manager, Joel, was really into making sure that the quality was there for his customers as best he could. He's moved on recently. I have not met Becky the new manager. However, all that said, bad food cannot be overcome even with good staff. When I go there, which is rarely for myself because it's generally for a friend of mine who wants me to catch something on my way home, I get the fish fillet on a sesame bun. I will tell him don't put so much tartar on it and put the cheese so that it's on the top of the fish never touching the bottom bun. I do that because I don't eat the bottom bun. And the fish fillet done that way it's not bad. I rarely drink anything but water, and occasionally I'll have a green tea or juice beverage. But just today, on the recommendation of a friend, I tried a McDonald's smoothie. It was the mango pineapple one and it was actually prepared perfectly. It was good. Plus it didn't hurt that it was on sale for $2. But it was actually very smooth and tasty. I did forget however that I have a slight allergy to milk products and I kind of regretted drinking it about 15 minutes after I was finished. But it is a very smooth and tasty yogurt-based fruit puree smoothie. Well I recommend the smoothie and the fish fillet, there's not much else I can recommend about this McDonalds. I noticed this location has an overall Yelp score of 2 stars. I'd like to contribute double that for a drive-through visit on 6/27/16 before 7pm. My son and I ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese, small fries, large chocolate shake (plain), hot fudge sundae (no nuts), and 10 piece Mcnuggets (no sauce). So warranted this review? Exceptional clarity, accuracy, and polite, friendly service....with a smile from the cashier. The two others at the takeout window were equally as personable, even when we had to wait for the new batch of fries. Their collective customer service really stood out and was greatly appreciated. We managed to get onboard on the 7pm Kingston ferry back to Edmonds with a tasty fast food meal while on the Sound. Big shout-out to those three and the ones working the food prep line! read more

Management needs to tune this location up. It's right next to the Kingston ferry terminal, so fast fast food should be the MO. I was the second car in the drive-thru and there were two cars parked outside, so I assume they had a few people inside. I was asked to wait to place my order; about three minutes. I ordered an egg McMuffin - like the one thing they should have at the ready. got to the window to pay, waited another two minutes or so before a guy came up and took my payment. Then I waited another three minutes. I'm thinking, it's just an egg McMuffin a different person, a gal, come to the window and asked what I was having. Two minutes later she handed me the bag, apologizing for the wait. Got to the ferry and luckily there was still space. Went for the sandwich and discovered ii got some ham and sausage sandwich. We are in the middle if a pandemic, I am sensitive to that. I also am in an essential industry so my expectations right now wherever I go are late to a different level for some things. If not for that, and that the food was fresh, this would be a one because I can't do zero. $27 plus change for two quarter pounders, fries and drinks at McDonald's is crazy. So if you're going to charge me that... get my simple order right. I have never been so disappointed in a childhood restaurant. I ordered pancakes from here this morning and they forgot the silverware, butter & syrup. They also forgot the biscuits and sausage I ordered with it. The hot chocolate was fine, but the pancakes got hard as soon as I got home. I don't plan on eating breakfast here again. read more

This McDonalds is pure chaos! Every order takes way, way too long. I parked because there were ten cars in line and waited 20 minutes for an a order of just French fries. The eating area was crowded with people waiting for food and getting orders with missing items. The phone app wasn't working and the counter help was taking orders from cars and had to apologize to every single guest about the long wait. Not happy this morning. I showed up at 04:58 and waited at the order station until 05:00. No one came on the speaker. I drove around to the Pay Here window, where they have their hours posted, and an older lady (gray hair so I'm guessing) walked by, saw me, and did nothing. At 5:05 I left WITHOUT ANY CONTACT. If your hours are 05:00am to 11:00pm, be open. Your customers have schedules that rely on businesses operating as they state. The easy fix is to start sufficiently early enough to prep for a successful 05:00 opening. I'll find somewhere else across the sound to spend my $$$ for breakfast. read more

Please do not support this McDonald's!! The owner(s) charge crazy high prices and don't display pricing on the drive through menu. When I was told my total of $13.83 at the 1st window I said "but I only ordered a chicken sandwich, medium fries and coke". The staff member was very polite and told me "I'm so sorry, the prices are crazy high and wish we could do something about it but we can't". Of course the owner can charge whatever they want for the services offered and it is up to customers to decide if they are worth it. I would have never thought McDonald's would let a franchise gouge customers like this. And even allow a drive through menu not to display prices. I am bummed that the kid play equipment was removed after the remodel. And there is no longer booths in the main seating area. I suppose from a legal standpoint, McDonalds the franchise, felt there was some fundamental issue with the way it was before. However, I feel it takes away some of the aesthetically pleasing aspects of being in this place of business. I will say the service has been great. The staff is wonderful. I always feel well taken care of. I try not to eat here too often. But when you need a quick, fairly inexpensive option, McD's is the place to be. read more

Wow, this place is horrible! Worst McDonalds I have ever been to. I ordered the Big Mac. I thought the lettuce tasted old or a little sour but I was wrong as it was the super nasty "secret sauce" that was just nasty sour. Yuk. Sour thousand island sauce! My mouth hurts just thinking about it. But, I was hungry and in a hurry. I think next time I would rather go hungry. The service was good though...if that helps at all. Ok that's 4 minutes " we say ok that's fine no hurry here my boyfriend and I have both worked in the food industry we know how it is. Where's this guys order? " the older lady who had said 4 minutes comes up and says oh no!. So 15 more minutes later we got our food. (That's 35 minutes total) we were told the man who had told me to pull forward had said that then didn't tell anyone and left....ok? Did you not even have the order going ? How do you just forget about someone's food when there is a bag filled with cold fries and burgers sitting there? I live nearby and I have to say never again. This is by far the WORST McDonald's I've EVER been to. They are slow, unfriendly, and in typical McDonald's fashion, could really give a damn. I tend to give places the benefit of the doubt and will give them a second or even third try. I've even given then more trys than that. I've repeatedly had to wait in excess of 15 minutes or my order is incorrect after I've driven away (even after waiting for the extra 15 minutes). So for these reasons I gave 1 star. Racist Manager!!! ....I'm a latino and have lived in North America for over 20 years. I speak and write english fluently, work as a flight attendant for a North American airline where I communicate in english all day. However, I was told by the Mcdonalds Manger Susan Fenwick, that she could not understand what I was saying because I have a slight accent even though I repeated myself twice? She then pointed out that she understands everybody else's accent except mine! If that's not a Racist comment then I don't know what is! I was trying to order a Smoothie that was advertised and when told it was unavailable tried ordering a coffee. When I asked her to tell me what part of what I was saying she didn't understand, she just told me to take my $1.00 for a small coffee and get out of her restaurant!
