We have been here several times for happy hour. Nice bar area with good service. Mondays they offer free bingo, which is fun and you receive candy prizes. They do play a blackout for $1 per card. Pots are usually around $100. The food is solid and standard Mexican fare. We have ordered Mexican pizza 4.5/5, quesadillas 4/5 (carnitas are best), taquitos 4/5. House Margaritas at happy hour are weak. Decent draft selection. read more

My daughter, son-in-law, wife, and I dined here on Father's Day after catching a movie at the theater just down the street. We had made a reservation in advance but arriving just before 6pm it didn't seem necessary. The restaurant dining rooms are huge with plenty of space. There is also a big bar area with even more space. I bet that area is fun when there is a football game being broadcast. We were seated at a large, comfy booth and given menus that perhaps had too many options to choose from. Our server greeted us and took our drink order of margaritas and a beer for me. These showed up quickly and we placed our dinner orders. I ordered chicken tacos with beans and rice with their in house made flour tortillas. Surprisingly, this is a DIY dish where you cut the chicken breasts into strips to make your own along with lettuce, pica de gallo, and guacamole. The tacos were delish and I also enjoyed the rice and refried beans. The latter were not too heavy and hit the spot. My wife ordered surf and turf street tacos and approved highly of those. My son-in-law ordered a burrito that was huge but somehow he managed to finish it. My daughter got her favorite, quesadillas which were also great. Our server was awesome and checked in on us frequently. There was an assistant who kept our waters topped off as well. We can't wait to return and sample more off their menu. read more

Dinner tonight was quite a mixed bag. I got the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were succulent, but the weird garlic sauce they served with them didn't complement the tacos at all. The rice on my platter was in such tiny crumbs that it looked like it was made from Minute Rice or something. The beans and chips were quite good, at least. I paid $7 for a side order of guacamole, which unfortunately had quite a bit of brown and a bit of near-slime in it. It looked like it wasn't fresh and I would not order it again. My margarita was big and tasty, thankfully, and my server was friendly and attentive. read more

My husband and I have tried twice now to get food from Puerta Vallarta since our favorite spot closed down in Kitsap. Tonight was so awful, and I usually don't review negative but the lack of attention was wild for our order. Firstly the quesadilla came completely uncut. Who doesn't cut a quesadilla? And we got delivery and didn't have the available tools to cut these as they didn't even give us deliver utensils like a fork and plastic knife. Secondly everything was so so so underseasoned. No flavor in my husband's burrito or my quesadilla when I did manage to mangle it to a bite. Thirdly the protein was gravely lacking in my husband's burrito. You pay a lot for these burritos and expect them to be packed with meat and all the goods. This one was all carbs. Overall I don't recommend this spot and will not be ordering again after multiple attempts for redemption. read more

We were glad they were open later than most Kingston restaurants since we came over on the ferry with kids to feed + more driving time. Vegetarian selection along with good chicken options. Even the refried beans were meat free. Kids got ice cream included, the verde sauce the horchata were particularly tasty.. read more

Pretty bland and not so great service. Had small bone in my chicken quesadilla and their response was oh well that happens! Really???

We were tired and hungry so we tried the Puerto Vallarta Mexican restaurant in Kingston. Big mistake! We ordered a combo chicken and steak fajita with all the trimmings. When they brought the meal we needed a magnifying glass to see the rice and refried beans. The chicken and beef looked like it was roadkill and it tasted like something was spoiled. read more

The food was very good, fit exactly what we were craving. Inside was clean and since we were on knee scooters were placed at a table with area to stash our equipment during dinner. Service was very quick and even after dinner, we sat to chat longer but the server still kept an eye on us. Will definitely come back!! read more

The food was phenomenal and came out quickly. I have and the flautas and my wife had the chimichanga. Our server was attentive and kind. Really generous portions too. read more

They have definitely improved the quality of the food - happy hour is a great bargain. Do not go on Mondays when a bingo caller is yelling out numbers and the bar is packed. No atmosphere and happy hour menu not available in the restaurant. Margaritas are watery and not worth the price. But 4 street tacos in the bar are great for $10. read more

Managed to get on an earlier ferry from Edmonds than expected so we stopped in here for dinner before a bioluminescent kayaking trip that evening. The restaurant is large with nice decor and friendly staff. We were served chips, salsa, and beans when we were seated - the salsa was tasty and the beans were interesting: they tasted very heavily of meat, like a ton of beef fat or something was used, and it wasn't until the beans were cooled down that they started tasting like beans. I still can't decide if I liked it or not. I ordered the fiesta bowl with carne asada and had the option of sliced avocado or guacamole, so I chose guacamole. It was a hearty serving, despite it looking small, but I think that's mostly because the bowl was gigantic to begin with. There was nothing spectacular about this dish, and the meat wasn't anything special. There wasn't a ton of flavor even after adding all of the salsa verde and mixing in some hot sauce. It was filling and wasn't terrible given the limited options we had on that side of the water at that time. Would I be back? Probably not unless that was my only choice. read more

I walked to this restaurant from a location nearby where I was having my motorcycle service. It was around 1 PM and there was a few tables happening. Greeted at the door seated quickly, chips and salsa appeared out of thin air. A delightful margarita served in a big glass came next. The extensive menu Was gorgeous, I chose the chimichanga with the chicken. The food appeared extremely fast, hot and delicious. Rice beans, guacamole sour cream. I may have actually licked the plate. Highly recommend this location. read more

The big go-to Mexican restaurant in town. Huge menu, huge building, fully renovated in 2023 and looks like a fancy fancy Mexican restaurant. Great for large parties and lots of Instagram picture opportunities. Wish I took inside photos. All the lanterns and wall murals are beautiful. I was so happy with the complimentary refried bean dip and it was warm! The tacos were amazing! So full of ingredients, not the mention big slice of avocado AND guacamole scoop. read more

First, the good. they accommodated us as we were close to closing time and they did avoid allergens. Food was uneven. My dish was not very tasty and it was meant to be a spicy, high flavour dish. The mushrooms didn't look fresh. The shrimps were good but there were few. It was mostly filler (onions). My guest's dish was perfectly ok. He'd order it again, he said. 3.5/5 for good service. Thank you. read more

I've seen this place several times has I passed by on my way to the Kingston ferry. Decided to check this place out as the ferry was 1 hour behind schedule. Parking was abundant, the interior decor had that Spanish villa style, very cool. The bathroom was clean and also posses that Spanish villa style. The place was clean, the food was amazing and the service was immediate. Will visit this place again! read more

Used to be a premium experience restaurant. They had a tortilla maker in the lobby, would make fresh guacamole in front of you and had quite impressive flavors. Now they just serve you from the same vat of slop and charge you $30 for it. Latest experience: sat in the bar, 2 others at the bar and a pack of drunks being loud. Bartender was quick to get me a drink, but I had to ask for a food menu... And refreshments... And water. I ordered Steak Fajitas, and it was delivered extremely, like alarmingly, quickly. Plate was hot, yet the food was cooler than the plate. AND NO SKILLET!? that's like the whole vibe. Meat was not good, most tasty thing on the plate was the refried beans. Pretty sure they gave me flour tortillas instead of corn. They never asked me how my food was, I just quietly didn't eat it. OH! THIS IS TUESDAY! And they have no toco specials. What happened to this place!? read more

Very busy, and service was pleasant but spotty. Had to flag down help for basic items several times before we could eat. Food tasted pretty good but was overly salty. Loved the real guacamole. Taquitos were burnt and bland. Would not recommend. Taco was soupy and soggy. Burrito was great. I'd recommend steering away from the combos and sticking to their specialty entrees. Would return, but would not order the same thing. read more

The staff at this restaurant are very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and located in a great area, but the food is satisfactory. I ordered a combination meal consisting of Carne Asada steak and a shrimp with mushroom dish. The Carne Asada was extremely tough and not very flavorful, my shrimp and mushroom dish mostly consisted of mushrooms and a few shrimp. I really enjoy Mexican food, so this experience was disappointing. read more

It's different. So I have no Mexican decent but I would like to think I know a little on Mexican food. I've live in San Diego for almost forever, been to Mexico just as long, visited Texas more times than then I can count, and been to so many Mexican family parties I've gotten use to Dos Equis. But this is different. First the place is big. Plenty of dining area and I love the big wooden tables and chairs. Reminds me of Abuelo restaurant back in Virginia. I know you read that review. My issue is the food was something different. Like there was no flavor. I hate to say it but I needed salt on everything. First the carne asada burrito need salt and I wasn't expecting it wet. The meat was tough and filling pretty empty. The huevos con chorizo wasn't favorable. I had to drown that dish with the salsa I got with the chips. Overall three stars. Food wasn't as tasteful as I've hope but if you have a big gathering. This place will accommodate. Just have salt on standby. Now excuse me, I need some water. read more

My significant other and I had stopped in to watch the Seattle Seahawks play yesterday. We have been to Puerto Vallarta locations but not here in Kingston. Went in for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The chips and salsa were excellent and we added the table side guacamole- good choice. While there were no surprises, or anything new and spectacular, all the food was of good quality. We had nachos, cheese enchiladas, and a ground beef burrito. Service was excellent and restaurant clean. Solid experience and would come again. read more

Really cool decor and even has a little tortilla making area for people to watch as they make them. Lunch prices are awesome but the food is just ok. The guacamole was ok, ground beef taco was ALL beef without room for lettuce or tomatoes or anything else. Cheese enchilada was made with cheddar cheese instead of Monterey Jack. Salsa was pretty good though. The margaritas were lacking in flavor though read more

If you are expecting something other than a Mexican diner, you are mistaken here... But if that is what you are looking for, look no further. The dishes here are pretty good. I've been happy with them as dine-in and take out... but after the pandemic started, I focused on a meal that would last a few days. This place does not disappoint. I am absolutely, positively in love with the Pollo Chipotle (if you like chicken, spicy, and BBQ flavor...EAT THIS) Lots of other things are good. The carne asada, chile Verde, chili colorado... but the Pollo Chipolte takes the cake. NOW if you are a weenie and don't like spice, don't order this, complain and ruin it for the spice lovers pretty please. PS... margaritas are BOMB. read more

Too expensive for the food you get, Corn tortillas are always soggy. the flavor is boring

Two stars for the great service from the staff. Zero stars for the beyond disgusting food and the $20 drinks that likely had no booze in them. I had the fiesta platter and there was absolutely no fiesta to be found. Instead, the entire plate was SO nasty and, even worse, I couldn't even get a buzz from my drink to make up for it. My husband had fajitas that tasted like "beef" slathered in curry and Manwich. Also, the $7 cup of guacamole was pale green and tasted solely of onion. What the hell? This place is so gross, disgusting, barf. Surprisingly expensive as hell also--two entrees and two drinks were $90, with the two drinks being $40!!! Nope, no way, never coming back. read more

So when we first came to this area about 3 years ago this place was pretty good. About 2 months ago I had Carnitas (which they had done well before) and it was not that good. Tonight I decided to get Chile Verde because I have always though "It is tough to mess up Chile Verde", but they did, the chunks of meat were too big, they did not break apart like they should and then for some reason it was like they were rationing the sauce which could have saved the meal. I mostly ate rice, beans and chips tonight. My spouse had the Carnitas again and it has not improved since the last time (Not tender, chewy). I am guessing the lost their cook. read more
