My husband and ate at the Whataburger in Jasper and it was our first visit in a very long time. Let…read moreme start by saying that the food was fresh. I had the grilled chicken sandwhich with fries and a drink and my husband had the original whataburger meal. The resturant was clean and the waitstaff was great After sitting down to eat and enjoying our meal for around ten or fifteen minutes we hear would sounds like yelling coming from the kitchen. My husband was seated to where he could see the door and the counter. He said to me "this is about to get interesting." A police officer walks in and the worker who was yelling said " i am a grown man and i can leave" and the officer let him know he was being detained. The worker's mom showed up and it was an out of hand situation. Because the cop, mom and worker were discussing the disorderly conduct charge next to my car we were not able to leave for fifteen minutes after entering the parking lot. I felt the situation could have been handled differently. Maybe send the worker home and once he is calm let him know that he is being fired or written up. By the way, we ended up with four cop cars in the parking lot.

When we arrived, the dining room appeared to be locked, but someone had left the door slightly ajar, so we walked in. We were the only customers inside, yet no one acknowledged us. After standing there for a bit, I finally told the employee behind the counter that we had a mobile order. She turned around and walked away without saying a single word. A few moments later, she came back with our food--still without acknowledging us. I ordered the $8 Supreme Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich, and somehow it was missing the egg--which seems like a pretty important ingredient for a breakfast sandwich. On top of that, it had what looked like half a slice of cheese and a single slice of ham. Definitely not what I expected. The inside of the restaurant smelled unpleasant and just felt unclean, so we decided to eat in our car instead. Before we left, a customer who had been there before us came back inside to ask for a fork for his breakfast platter. He was told they were out of forks. Hopefully he enjoyed eating breakfast with his fingers. While we were sitting in the car, we watched another customer ride up on a bicycle and try to get into the dining room. Since the doors were locked, they couldn't get in. After trying the door, they simply rode across the street to Burger King instead. Between the locked dining room, the lack of customer service, an $8 Supreme Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich with no egg, the disappointing food, and the overall condition of the restaurant, this was easily one of the worst fast-food experiences I've had. I won't be back.

I thought it was funny but it made my partner very uncomfortable. We then got our food and this is what we got. We both got a large combo. I got their number 9 which was a burger and my partner got the chicken. I was exited at the curly fries cuz of how much hype they got but was a little disappointed when they weren't all that. Don't take my word for it cuz it might just be this location. (5 or 6/10) The burger... Omfg the burger. Big (-10/10). I have no words. It was just pure disgustingness. The chicken was probably the best out of our order. Overall just decent chicken. (7/10) Overall experience is a (6/10) For this being my first Jack in the Box experience i was very dissatisfied.

When we get to the speaker in drive thru, it takes several min to get someone to ask if they can take our order. We order our food, my sister has to repeat it them 4 times. Ok maybe the speaker is messing up?? They finally get the order and they repeat it to us. Finally, its correct. We get to the window. VERY unprofessional! They give the total, my sister hands them my card. She is told to scan it in the debit deal in the drive thru. We wait maybe 10? Min for our food. The ENTIRE 10 min we waited, the employees keep staring at my sister who was driving, pointing and laughing at her. Making direct eye contact with her! When they finally pass the food out, there is 1 napkin. So my sister asks for more napkins. They hand it out. We pull forward to check the food.. NOTHING is correct! Looks like a toddler having a tantrum made the food! We ordered 1 sonic cheeseburger with mayo minus onions. A sonic bacon double cheese burger. Mayo & ketchup all the way. The regular cheese burger was a mess. Had onions. The double had an excessive amount of mayo n ketchup. And NO bacon. Both cold! Like COLD! Overall a major waste of our money! Rude employees.. We got take out, a loaded baked potato with beef and a three meat plate. The potato was cooked perfectly, and the chopped brisket was meaty and tender. The three meats (chicken, ribs, link) were smoked to perfection. The chicken was done but not dry (a miracle outcome on my smoker); the rib meat easily pulled right off the bone, but held together well; and the link was flavorful and juicy. The side dishes - green beans and loaded mashed potatoes - were just OK; but you don't come here for the veggies. There's a new owner in town, and it is readily apparent.
