When my friend was down from out of state I took him to this place it has a great atmosphere with very friendly staff, the portions were right on the money we got the shrimp pro boys and fries and chose the boudin balls for the starter the food was amazingly good, I will def be going back in the near future read more

It's been a while since I've been here. The ettoufee is good, the fried shrimp and the fried fish is also good! The only problem we have had was that they were understaffed. One waitress had to wait on the entire restaurant as well as check everyone out so it took a while. The owners left her there to go run their potato stand. This little hidden gem in jasper surprised me and the wife. We popped in for dinner and was impressed. We order fried green tomatoes with jalapeño ranch dipping sauce they came out hot and fresh and were delicious. For our main entree we got the big easy poboy which is fried shrimp topped with crawfish etoufee on a French bun with lettuce and tomato. Also turned out great. read more

Wife and i went to Fish tales 5/24/23 for evening meal. We both had shrimp po boys and they were ok.. Menu price $12.00 each, went to pay and was told they had gone up to $15.00 dollars each.. This is a fast food seafood diner. I ordered an onion ring appetizer. They were tiny strings fried crispy. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Dinner for two was fries and five perfectly fried shrimp each plus a hush puppy. It came out quickly. The cook later brought us out some fresh hot fries without us asking. He said we needed fresh fries. I would have preferred to have waited and gotten my shrimp and fresh fries together. I was not in any hurry. The total was $30 with tip. Fish Tales in Jasper is a great spot for a meal! The fish is fresh, the food is very tasty and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only complaint we've had is we wish they had some booths. Those cute wooden chairs are tough on old vones! read more

First let me say they just opened to the public and looks like they are trying to work out the kinks. Our service was impeccable and the food had good flavor and was fresh. However I ordered grilled shrimp over dirty rice. The rice was cold and they shorted me on the shrimp as it came with 10 and they only gave me five. The people we were with never got their Poboy sandwich. We will try again in the future as we are excited to have them in Jasper. read more
