Little by little this place is trying to better themselves. They have been taking down walls and…read moremoving them around to make it more spacious, moving in more tables and chairs for more seating. They have a great breakfast special on the weekends for a good price. 2 eggs , bacon or sausage, biscuit and gravy, and hash browns. The pancakes are good too if you're in the mood. They serve breakfast all day long. I've mostly eaten breakfast there, but when I did have other items they were good. They bought an old game time scoreboard from Kirbyville High School which they placed on the wall. They've had a beautiful mural painted on a wall near the bar. The restaurant area is behind the little store in front. The food is good and definitely tastes home cooked. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. I didn't have any photos so I borrowed some they had online. Apparently they have entertainment now too. It's a cute little small town place with friendly people, cute decor and good food. The bathroom could definitely use a little re-do, and If they could find a way to place the wiring they've run behind trim it would look much better, but maybe that's just me.

Man Oh Man!! This is the place to come to for the Southern Meal of YOUR LIFE!! okay maybe not of…read moreyour life but definitely in Kirbyville. (Disclaimer we've only come to this southern style restaurant) BUT... let me tell you it was Delicious with a capital D! My love had the fried catfish and shrimp - catfish, corn and green beans. The catfish was melt in your mouth good. Fried to perfection and the batter was som-nice, lem'me telllya! She let me steal a piece is why I'm telling you! Shrimp was good as well but not as good as the catfish. Fries to be honest were meh, hence the 4 stars and corn according to my wife was not the side to order unless you like corn that don't taste good. Then it's the one you e been waiting for. Green beans were to her liking - flavorful and at least mentally a healthy choice. I mean you don't get much at a Southern-cooked joint that's healthy... am I right ‍ or am I right . I got the meatloaf, mashed-tators, and sweet baby corn. Maaaaaan the meatloaf was a junking piece of meatloaf with some good seasoning and know that it comes SMOTHERED in their tomato sauce which had a hearty cut of vegetables and good flavor. I like ketchup and Tabasco on just about everything but if you like it that way it will fill your belly and put a smile on your face. OH BUT WERE NOT DONE! The baby corn was sweet, delicious and perfectly cooked to soft but not to mushy perfection. The mashed-tators was REAL MASHED-TATORS. Skin in them with potatoe chunks just like they were made at home and the gravy was on point! COME AND EAT HERE!!! I guarantee you will come back to try something else... we are

I've passed by this spot about ten times now and finally decided to stop. In my experience with…read morebarbecue, it seems that the little shacks off the road are sometimes the diamonds in the rough. Not in the case of Belli Deli BBQ and More! We walk in and it's pretty crazy looking with a bit of a foul smell. We ring a bell hanging on the wall to get service and a grizzled voice calls out from what looks like the guys dimly lit house/dining room. We ask about the menu and he tells us all he has is sandwiches. I also see a chalkboard that says "Got Goat?", so of course I ask if I can sample some and he obliges. He comes from the back freezer with a frozen goat leg wrapped on foil with the bone end sticking out...yummy (sarcasm)! While he's microwaving a BBQ beef sandwich bun and all, he's coughing and talking to us about how sick he is and the good medicine the doctor put him on. He then microwaves some goat pieces in a big bowl, throws some sauce on it, and lets us pick at it with our fingers. Could be goat, maybe, could be the guy he killed in the field out back last year, who knows. He then tells a how if you were starving anything tastes good. Well, I know I wont be eating here again, total let down. He convinced us he'd be moving down the road in a couple months, opening a goat farm/dairy. He has big plans to make cheese, goat milk, cream, yogurt, soap, and all kinds of other goat necessities. GOOD LUCK GOATMAN!

"Food, Glorious Food, Going to a deli…read more It makes me feel good, It makes me feel selly." (well, "silly" didn't rhyme, so if Ogden Nash could mangle words to make them fit his poems, then so can I) Oliver Twist from the crappy musical "Oliver!" would have a good time here. The menu has several selections of sammys for sale, both meat and non-meat. You can also pick out what extras you'd want: mayo, pickles, hot peppers, garlic, or oil (likely not 5W20). Location: On the road to Kountze. Too far to walk there from the high school, but close enough to the hospital. Several fast food restaurants within close distance. Parking lot is only one lane wide, but you should still be able to find parking. Know your limits. There are three sizes: 4 inch Skinny, 8 inch Original, 12 inch Big. The Hunny had a Chicken Club, I had Mama's Meatball. I marked mine down to 3 star because I had multigrain bread, and the strange grain taste overwhelmed everything else, and I've had better meatballs. The Hunny liked hers, and was pleasantly surprised to see bacon in there. For the less important things: Decor didn't really stand out. Service was with a smile. I joked about getting multigrain bread ("can you tell I'm from California?"), and the girl said "so's my boyfriend. He loved this one sandwich shop where he came from, and he said that Potbelly is better!" I doubt that anything can beat Capriotti's, but maybe there are selections at Potbelly that do. I'll need to investigate, heh heh. I ate at Firehouse Subs some time ago, and I think their food is better. I may have just gotten a raw deal at Potbelly this time, or maybe I should get white bread instead. Whatever. Potbelly Sandwich Shop is an option if you're in the area.
