    Mostly ice.

For the most part this McDonald's is ok and it always smells like fresh brewed coffee in the morning. They've gotten stingy with drinks though. I got one this morning and most of it was Ice.... McDonald's doesn't need to be stingy with soda that costs them hardly anything. It's the worst for customer service if you go inside I've noticed. Your invisible to the employees unless your elderly or can't use the kiosk. They hire young, cocky employees who think they're special and entitled.

We're in Issaquah quite often so it's not unusual for us to step into this store. Generally, the food is good; typically decent McDonald's fare. But the Wi-Fi and the condition of the stores are "hit and miss". Sometimes it's decently clean other times it's not. The service is also "hit and miss". Not sure if it's a result of the pandemic or what. I don't expect 5-star service at McDonald's. But it's gotten poorer.

Can I interest you in a side of RAW burger?

Stopped at this McDonald's to grab a quick meal and ordered a Quarter Pounder with extra pickles. To my surprise, I was informed that there's now an additional charge for extra pickles--$0.60. I paid the fee, took my food, and drove home. Upon opening the bag, I discovered not only were there no extra pickles, but there was just a single pickle on the burger--quite literally the opposite of what I paid for. Shrugging it off, I started eating, only to realize the burger was severely undercooked. The patty was raw in the center, with about 80% of it visibly pink. While I can appreciate a properly cooked rare steak, undercooked ground beef from a fast-food chain is an entirely different matter, posing a significant risk for bacteria such as salmonella, listeria, and E. coli. I called the restaurant to inform the manager of the issue. He offered a refund and said I could receive a free small ice cream on my next visit. Frankly, I wasn't looking for a free dessert with my next order--I wanted the Quarter Pounder with extra pickles that I paid for, cooked properly, and safe to eat that night. Annoyed, I drove back to the restaurant, went through the drive-thru, and explained the issues with my meal, including the earlier conversation with the manager. I handed back the undercooked burger, and the manager processed my refund at the window. He simply said, "Here you go. Bye," with no acknowledgment of the poor service or the inconvenience. McDonald's, please hire better-trained staff who can ensure basic food safety and customer satisfaction. This was an incredibly disappointing and avoidable experience. Needless to say, it was an extremely disappointing and concerning experience.

I don't love how greasy their croissants and sandwiches are. I wish they had better breakfasts or served food with protein that was less oily. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a sandwich I've gotten from here, and I swear I try them at least every other month. The vibes totally make up for their gross sammies and are my favourite thing about this place!! I love coming here for a reading date or to craft and yap with friends. It feels like such a community oriented space and I love getting to enjoy it with my friends. I just wish they were open later than 6pm.

Then the sandwiches. All were very good. Surprisingly, my fav may have been the turkey, cheese, jam and arugula. We finished with the sweets. Not usually a fan of shortbread, this was buttery and moist. Not crumbly and dry (not a big fan of the thyme though). The little phyllo cup filled with pastry cream is a treasure. Inside, the shop is very cute, with pastel decore, velvet seats and tables, and plenty of places for photo ops. I ordered the ube matcha latte and the seasonal pandan donut, which were both good. I love ube, so was glad to know that they make their own ube flavoring here, which was the best part of the drink. I also liked the pandan donut, but it was very sweet and rich.
