First time trying Whataburger ever, this location in Ballentine across from Walmart…read more The menu for me didn't offer much variety beyond burgers but that's their name so... I went with jalapeño burger all the way. The combo comes w fries and large drink. As for my opinion, the burger was large about size of Whopper, tomato, lettuce, not soaked thru with mayonnaise; combined with fries it was plenty to fill one person. The taste I can only think of closest is Sonic, this was $9.99 for combo. The drive thru is not AI although you may be tricked as I was by the voice. Customer service was good. I did not have the patience for the drive thru line. We found a spot and walked to the door...an employee was there letting people in as space was available. It wasn't really that long of a wait and we were able to find a seat right away. We ordered at a kiosk which was super easy to use. From the time our receipt was printed to when we got our food was 18 minutes. To me, it was just like any other burger joint. We Tried the burgers, fries and onion rings. Next time definitely want to try their shakes. My children's review sums it up just right: It's like getting a sonic burger at a better price. The fries are like McDonalds. So, if I want a sonic burger, but not nearly as expensive I'd come here. Staff were friendly. Only mistake with our order was they forgot to give us a milk and the soda seemed flat. We will return once the lines settle down.

Standing alone next to a busy road, next to Burger King no less, sits Lucky's Burger shack. Long…read moreon character and short on parking, we gave it go on a busy Tuesday. Some call it a dive bar, some are more generous; are there sticky tables, servers with tattoos, a busy bar were suds and cheaper whiskey prevail, and original paint? You bet! Let's get to the food. Lucky's menu features a variety of burgers, salads, wings, hotdogs and sides. Don't expect beer on tap, but an extensive selection of bottled beer should satisfy most folks. We ordered a Black and Blu burger with onion straws and a patty melt with fries. From the time we walked in until our food arrived probably took about 25 minutes. That was our own fault as we took way too long deciding what to order. When our food arrived, I immediately dug into the well constructed burger. I could barely open my mouth wide enough. And the taste? Very tasty. My wife enjoyed her patty melt--a burger on marbled rye with cheese and cooked onions that holds up surprisingly well! My onion straws were crunchy and sweet. Fries weren't great, but all in all an enjoyable burger experience. Oh, did I mention entertainment? Well on Tuesdays you can grab a free bingo card and try your luck winning a gift card! We went into the store at 8:28pm to get a quick meal. The host continued her cleaning and…read moreeventually made her way over to us. When we walked to the register, we received no greeting, no 'Hi', nothing except, what would you like? I placed my order, was informed the shake machine was closed, and was informed that the dining room was closed. Why? Store closes at 9pm, the store still has 30 minutes before it closed? Shake machine shouldn't have been closed and there was still plenty of time to eat and go. We had been doing volunteer work outside all day and wanted a cool place to sit. Ok, that is fine, we got the order to go and sat outside at the tables. We had 3 different orders (separate individuals), we all received cold, soggy fries. At 8:50, they shut the outside lights off on us, still 10 minutes before closing. I went inside to refill my drink at 8:52, they eventually turned the lights back on, apparently oblivious to the fact that we were sitting out there?? I took our trash in but all the trash baskets were without bags and I didn't want to throw the trash in the can with no bag, so I set it on the top of the trash cabinet. She swiped the bags off the trash cabinet like it was a major inconvenience to her and at 8:55 she locked the door. She was so worried about her cleaning and making sure she could walk out that door at 9pm. Stores are open until 9pm. She shouldn't be so worried about walking out the door at 9. Cleaning can be done while people are still in the store and after guest leave, it doesn't hurt to have to wipe off one extra table? Just very rude. What I will say is that the dining room was clean and the store was neatly kept but service was terrible and the attitude sucked! Not sure why younger employees don't understand what providing good customer services look like anymore (This doesn't apply to ALL younger people, but enough that is it an issue). Disappointed in the entire exchange.
