I haven't been to McDonald's in YEARS! Are they all this dirty? I had to clean our table and seats before sitting down. They need to use an industrial scrubber on the floors! I'm glad I remembered socks for my kid to wear in the play place. His little friend forgot his and his feet were black when we left. Open the lobby already. This is ridiculous! You cannot feed a toddler in the car. It's not safe and it makes a mess. Traveling from Laredo to Dallas and we choose this McDonald's. Just to get down and the door was locked. Walked over to the other door and that one has a sign that says lobby closed. Out of all the McDonald's I choose this one since it was closest to the HWY. and the lobby is closed. Both my kids needed the restroom, we would have liked to stretch our legs, and enjoyed dinner here before heading back on the road. Fortunately for this McDonald's they still got my business since the kids wanted McChicken and nuggets. Currently back on the road and my son Mcchicken was a spicy Mcchicken wrapped in a regular Mcchicken wrap. That sucks considering he is 7yrs old and doesn't eat spicy food. My 13 yr old got a 10 PC nugget meal and they both shared that. Couple of inconveniences 1. Choosing this McDonald's 2. Wrong food. Worst fast food joint I have ever been to. Beware when you go through the drive through, the women like to talk about you in Spanish! Little did they know, I'm Hispanic & very fluent in Spanish. I went through the drive thru, only had a debit card, & the first thing the lady tells me when I pull up is "we are only taking cash" so I asked why, & she stated our credit card machine is not working. Then in the background I could hear a lady say in Spanish "tell them to wait 10 minutes, I can fix it" then the lady said no it's okay. I then replied back in Spanish, "yes we will wait 10 minutes." Being in in a small town is no excuse for poor service, if anything we expect that much more. I recently moved to hutto from Austin TX. And There is only 1 McDonalds in the whole town, So I have no choice but to go to this one, We have gone 3 times, and each time has been absolutely horrible. The most recent, today. We went to get Dinner, at 8PM. We ordered at 8:10 in the drive through, we didn't leave the drive through until 8:35. this is absolutely unexceptable! Its fast food! In addition as we were waiting at the window for our food, the girl pops out of the window and ask "DID I ALREADY GIVE YOU YOUR FOOD?" are you freaking kidding me, why would we still be here? also she said it in a very off tone. But thats forgivable, what not is what happened next, she persisted to yell at her coworkers, they yelled back, there was a lot of cursing and bad language, al of this with the drive through window wide open. We do not kneed to hear that stuff! Sure it was in Spanish, but we understand Spanish! 100% unexseptable. Then she hands us 2 drinks, that were not the drinks we ordered at all, at this point I'm upset and I tell her there not the drinks, but just give them to us because I have to get to work. We didn't even order 2 orders, we order 1 meal and 2 drinks, how freaked hard is that????? Then she said in a very snobby tone, please pull up. Fine we pulled up, another 10 minutes go by... This is horrible, we want a refund at this point, but on wait we never got a receipt! ARG! By this point I give up and want to speak with a manager, so I go inside and ask to speak with one, the young man said that he is not here but you can speak with her, and he points...." Ok, who is she?" no answer.... so this woman in a blue shirt (perhaps she's important ant everyone else is wearing red shirts) So I proceed to tell her how disappointed we are with the whole experience, 3 minutes later she's just nodding... So I say "and your lack of communication with me is not helping...." So she says....1 memento... at this point I loose it, I was calm and collected until then. I say " Are you freaked kidding me?!! you couldn't say I'm sorry I don't understand, or anything.... this is absolutely ridiculous! " So I go to my car to get my man credit card, so I can get a refund.... to find that they have locked the door!!! I give up... 5 minutes later they brought out our foo, no apology or anything, and we go home. The drinks were horrible, tasted like alcohol, perhaps the window chick didn't make it right, and we through out the food, in fear that messed with it. OVER ALL, Im therapy upset! I never ever expected this, it was horrible! Ok and apparently the Mcdonalds website complaint area has a character limit, so I can even finis my story properly. My mom and my 6 year old son went to eat at the Hutto McDonald's today and there was a very aggressive 9 year old boy there picking on all the kids. My son stood up for a little girl that was being picked on by the boy and the boy shoved my son's head up against a window in the helicopter. My son started to cry and the boy said that he would give him a Pokémon card if he didn't tell. Turns out the boy's mom works at the McDonald's and she doesn't have anyone to watch him so he gets to stay there during her shift and be a mean little snot to all the other kids. Last time I checked McDonald's was not a daycare center. I am beyond livid! read more

As far as the food is concerned, it's McDonald's and you get what you expect. As far as everything else, this place is the pits. It's so dirty and gross and the people working usually seem put out that you're ordering anything. Here on a Friday because my son insisted on going to the playscape. So disappointed to see the lack of care and cleanliness. The play area is filthy, socks are REQUIRED yet 4 of the 5 children are in bare, sweaty feet. The drinks area is gross and neglected. It smells like throw up there and in the waiting area. The ice cream dispenser visible from the ordering station is really dirty and unkept. There are only certain people to blame : leadership (manager and owner). I've lived in Hutto for 11 years and this McDonalds was once decent but it has declined quickly over the years and in recent days. Every time my wife and I go the shake machine is always down. The fries are cold and not salted and management doesn't seem to care. The other day I ordered a chocolate shake along with other items. I paid and pulled up to the next window only to be told no chocolate shakes. Only vanilla or strawberry. I asked for a refund on the shake and the manager seemed to be put out by this. The shake wasn't even made yet nor was it busy. He had me pull up and wait for my refund and when he came out he gave me my change less than the cost of the shake. I told him that and he unhappily went back in and got me the correct change. By that time my food was cold and I just didn't want to go down that road. I really recommend driving down the road to another location that has better performance. read more

I have had breakfast here most days for years and was glad to see new ownership take over the place. They immediately re-striped the lot and I thought, wow, great. Then it stopped there. Coke machine remained broken for a long time and has repeatedly run out of carbonation. Both doors have been broken on and off. Bathroom toilet broken over a year. This past winter, owner was so cheap, temperature inside restaurant was in the 50's and now when it's warm out, it approaches mid 80's. The only time they are adequately staffed is when they are expecting someone from corporate. They have also hired some very bad performers. Thank God, Isabel, Matthew and Yari as well as some longer term employees are there or we wouldn't still come around. There have been some days I have come in and left when I see a specific older female manager. The first 7 or 8 times she took my order, it was never right. She'd argue with me that I ordered wrong (I have been coming for 5 years and order the same all the time). She actually messed up 4 people's orders before mine one time and told everyone they were wrong. There is nothing worse than waking up and having breakfast with a grumpy person taking your order. To the owner I say: If you are going to say your restaurant has WiFi, then pay the bill and have it. If you say you are open at 5 AM, then open at 5, not 6 or 6:30. If I could tell McDonalds' corporate people one thing, I'd find another owner for that store and start from scratch with just a few of the old employees. Mind you, most of my opinion is based on mornings but one of the morning grumpy faced girls from morning is now manager in the afternoon and when I went in last week, she hasn't changed so I just left. I could go on and on but I'll end on this by saying I have managed a few McDonalds and have helped open 3 more and this is by far the worst one I have ever visited. If you barely have enough money to buy a franchise and can't invest in fixing it up and invest in hiring good people, don't buy it. Find something else to put your money in. You might also ask some of your friends to come in every once in a while and see how it is being run when you are not there. It would be a mind opener. read more
