    This McDonald's was okay. Good location for stopping by. The parking was good and the place was clean. The food and drink was as expected. Just a heads up, there was a long drive through line. So we parked and went in. I don't know if this was really any quicker or not, but we tried. This restaurant is smaller than it looks. The larger portion of the building isn't for regular dining - which, at the time we went, was okay.

    Now I understand the very low review rating of this store. I was anticipating to give it 5 stars, but then - the "monster" reared its very ugly head... thereby exposing the "mystery" of low stars. Allow me to preface this review with a few questions: (1) As of the day of my visit and of this writing, IS THERE ANY "NOTICE" POSTED ON THIS STORE'S PERIMETER THAT CUSTOMERS ARE SUBJECT TO THE COMPANY'S HOUSE POLICIES WHEN IT COMES TO FIRST AMENDMENT RESTRICTIONS, i.e., FREEDOM TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS AS MATERIALS TO BACKUP THEIR PUBLIC REVIEW ABOUT THE STORE'S FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE, QUALITY, ETC.? (2) Is the (collective) management of this store attempting to control the public's expressed opinions about their experience from this location by using "MINORS" as subject of excuse to intimidate customers, thereby openly shame the customers under this "argument" - therefore REQUIRED to ASK management for PERMISSION prior to taking photographs of the MENU BOARD, exterior, food, and overall interior upkeep of the facility? (3) WHAT ARE THESE CUSTOMER POLICIES of the store (if a Franchise or Corporate guidelines) requiring customers to be subjected to RESTRICTIONS therefore NULLIFY the very basic principles of CUSTOMER SERVICE? Are these policies publicly posted? Are they ratified and endorsed by upper management? Does this policy reflect the overall vision and goals of its shareholders, vis-a-vis STAKEHOLDERS, also known as "CUSTOMERS"? With all the above considerations, I am pointing to the supervisor or manager or lead crew who belligerently "SCOLDED" me in the open before the other customers in the dining and cashier counter areas with a RAISED VOICE that "you are not allowed to take photographs without permission." - JUSTIFYING THAT I WAS PHOTOGRAPHING MINORS (please refer to ALL the photos I posted in this review... does it contain any identifiable person, particularly "minors"? When I said I was only photographing the Menu Board and the drinking station, this "manager" forced to ESCALATE her "issue" and make sure that I got "shamed" before the diners. I AM HIGHLY AWARE THIS STORE HAS SEVERAL CCTV CAMERAS that upper management can review. LET THE FACTS SPEAK FOR ITSELF. My husband and I planned to spend over $100 on this visit because of our fishing expedition trip at Big Bear. McD was going to be our picnic fare for the day. But because of this "manager's" UNBECOMING CONDUCT AND ATTITUDE TO THIS LOCATION'S PATRONS, we decided to LEAVE AND GIVE OUR BUSINESS TO JACK IN THE BOX ACROSS THE STREET. JACK IN THE BOX MANAGER WARMLY WELCOMED US, AND GAVE ME THE FULL GREEN LIGHT TO TAKE PHOTOS, EVEN TOLD HER CREW TO SMILE AT THE CAMERA. JACK IN THE BOX MANAGER "APOLOGIZED" FOR MCDONALD'S MANAGER'S UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR I am truly shaking my head. I am scratching my head how this person became a manager when her temperament is very unbecoming. I do not think she fits in a customer service-centered business at all. I will NEVER give my business to this location again and to any place where this person will be working at. CUSTOMERS DO DESERVE RESPECT AND THE BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES' PROFESSIONALISM. PERIOD.

    Slowest McDonald's drive thru in the west, just take the risk and go to the sb one. Sat in it for 20 minutes waste of time

First off, the ambience is great. The café is decorated with cute French-themed touches, and it has a cozy, inviting vibe. The employees were also friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. For food, I ordered a turkey sandwich. It was good overall--more of a torta-style sandwich with flavorful ingredients, served on toasted white bread. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the coffee was a letdown. I ordered the horchata latte, but it tasted like low-quality coffee. I didn't really get any horchata flavor--more like a watered-down vanilla/cinnamon latte. For dessert, I tried the key lime tart. It wasn't very sweet, and the crust was extremely dry. Considering it was almost $10 for a fairly small tart, it didn't feel worth the price. Speaking of price, the overall cost felt overpriced for what you get. I paid around $30 for a sandwich, coffee, and tart, which felt steep given the quality of the items I tried. Service timing was another issue. A group came in after me, and my order wasn't started until after they took everyone else's order. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I was in a bit of a hurry, and it ended up holding me up longer than expected. That said, it does seem like crepes are their main specialty, and judging by other reviews, those might be worth trying. If you're going specifically for crepes, it may still be worth a visit. However, based on my experience with the sandwich, coffee, and dessert, I personally wouldn't return. I genuinely wish them the best as a small business--it just wasn't for me.

I doubt she even tipped herself the four bucks she owed me. Maybe cash is outdated, maybe they aren't used to making change with apps and credit cards doing all the math. But please, Starbucks help these poor uneducated young ladies learn how to count and use currency. Don't let the skill die here.
