I came today and was very disappointed in the service i was greeted with we are understaffed you need to use the kiosk I informed her that i would like to use my military discount and am unable to on the kiosk and i met with disrespect and offended by my question i came in with an old friend and she was mortified by this behavior talk about first impression am i right. AND IM NOT DONE it continues she decided she would do her job and take the order and proceed to say "come on hurry up come let's go come on" it was very distasteful and was done right in front of the owner/manager who didn't even blink an eye probably use to it. it was very uncomfortable situation to be met with i think conversion about being unstaffed should be had with management and not be taken out on the customer. hopefully she had a better day and a merry christmas to cheer her up! read more

This was my go to wabba since it's right down the street..It wasn't like this before but as of late the chicken always looks dull and tastes weird. Bad experience today. Usually prompt when I do a pick up order but today was not the case. Notification order was 12:40pm, gave enough time and picked up the order at 1pm and my order was not ready. There were literally no customers inside eating or waiting in line at this time. Staff did not apologize for their mistake or explained what was the cause of the delay. It's the healthiest fast food you can get. I got the family meal for 6 of us and we still had left overs. We got the chicken and beef as protein. The beef was slices thinly but was good. I especially like the Waba sauce. The portions were great even though it says serves 4. I also got the tofu bowl which was a bust. There wasn't enough tofu on it. read more

First off we were the only ones in there and every single table was dirty. Two people working. Clearly not enough ma. Power to keep up. The drink machine water foundation was stuck on so I fixed that only to notice how gross the vents were and how bad every surface was. Proceeded to get my order with very little steak in it!!! So little that I had to ask why I just got rice... no one weighed the amount just used tongs to grab it with. Staff was nice and I hate to leave a bad review but the owner needs to come in and get their hands dirty once in awhile. This needs your attention! Bathrooms were gross splatter all over the baby changing table and walls. Floors haven't been cleaned and front door was nasty... pay attention to detail this is a food place. Bad experience! This Waba Grill location is suppose to close at 9:00 pm. My spouse & I arrived at 7:45 and were basically forced to leave at 8:20. The young lady at the counter was courteous and knowledgeable. However, our meals were less than desirable. Everything in the bowl was less than room temperature. We received a lot of rice, a little bit of veggies and an o.k. amount of protein. The fountain machine did not have ice so a young man working there offered us ice. We received ice with water in our cups; we had to pour out the water to get the soda we wanted. While we were eating, the young man decided it was time to start closing the restaurant...it was 8:05. He went around and put all the chairs on the tables around us. At 8:10 he swept around us and then started mopping the floor with a strong scented cleaner. This location got 2 stars because of the young man's lack of customer service and the quality of the food. read more

Unfortunately, this location has gone down hill over the years. I first started coming here about 4 years ago and the food was always fresh, there was great customer service, and the sides were plentiful. However, my last dew recent visits have been much less enjoyable. I ordered the salmon veggie bowl with brown rice. The salmon was extremely dry and overcooked. The veggies were scarce and I got no steamed carrots. Over the years the cabbage in each bowl has increased, while the carrots and broccoli have decreased. The sides looked like they'd been sitting out way too long, and the sauce area was a mess. The interior was a mess and not well kept. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking nearby, unlike other WaBa locations in the area. I love WaBa Grill so I hope this location can turn it around! read more

I had already reached out to wabagrill.com on the 17th, after the incident, and no one has reached out to me. ------------------------------------------------- If I could give zero stars, I would. Yesterday, 07/17/23, I ordered a steak bowl via Grubhub. I was at work, so I found it convenient to order, instead of driving out to the location. I was given a gift card for my birthday , and used it on that order, $21 down the drain. I received my food, and the rice was hard, all of it, it tasted and looked old. I had to throw away my food. I called the store and spoke to the cashier, Jessica. I requested to speak to a manager, she said manager was on lunch and asked me what the issue was. I explained what happened. Jessica stated that she would call her boss, and would return my call, which no one returned my call. I sent an email to Wabagrill, and haven't heard back. Money lost, and a headache due to this inconvenience, and not eating anything during my working hours. So I would eat here during lunchtime, but this location gets so crowded and parking lot is ridiculously busy and the line is out the door at times, and staff is not so friendly. Waba Grill finally opens in Highland, so how does it taste? It's not bad at all, BUT!! I'll get to that in just an second. Prices aren't that bad Food: They gave you great amount of meat, which was really good. Service: Sorry to come out blasting like it, but she was sorta like a airhead. I really thought her customer service skills were on the fake side of being friendly. When she asked if we wanted onions, first thing we thought was "raw or white onions". I of course said no, but when it turns out. They're green onions, I only caught this because I saw someone else have it. Rice bowls are sorta on the up/down side. Yes it's good, but it's also lacking that side of veggies. Yes, I know you could buy it on the side and what not, but shouldn't that be free in the bowl? Most places that sell "Rice bowls" have some sort of veggies without extra charges. I dunno, it's just me on this one. Food came out fast, I mean I paid for the food and within 2 mins...BAM!! It's finished. Place was sorta packed, I guess this place will stay open due to it being on the "healthy" side. It's great for people that go to LA Fitness and want something small, but will also fill you up. Sorry to give this place an odd review, but I was expecting more from this place. Just ordered a couple chicken bowls and I've never been so disappointed in Waba grill. This location doesn't offer the 2 chicken bowls for $13.99 like others do. Then I ordered 2 bowls and payed almost $25 for them to completely skimp on the chicken and beef. I'll try the one in Redlands next time. This picture is how the bowl looked when I got home, messy with just a small amount of chicken and no green onion that I asked for. The first time we ordered waba bowls and got extremely skimped, the bowl was half full? Maybe? I don't know how they get away with that. Unfortunately we didn't even notice until we had got home. The second time I called on my way home from work to place a to-go order when I was about 15 minutes out and got left on hold for the duration of my drive home. I love Waba Grill. With no locations in Big Bear area, I ended up coming here- which is at the bottom of the mountain in Highland. It seemed very clean and the staff were friendly and whipped up my order pretty quickly. I went with the salon plate and added fresh avocado. I opted out of the salad and got veggies instead. The fruit and veggies were fresh and steamed perfectly. The avocado was a a little firm, so not quite ripe. And the salmon was a tiny bit over grilled. Still very much edible. And good. Just had too much of a grilled taste for me almost crunchy like on the outside of the salmon filet. I called in and placed an order on a Saturday night the employee who answered the phone was very unprofessional usually behavior like this keeps me from proceeding with my order, however I placed my order anyway because I was extremely hungry. I picked up my order and didn't bother to check it until I got home I ordered a tofu bowl with white rice and steamed veggies and double avocado. My Tofu was completely charred and my veggies were not properly steamed and I had been charged for double avocado and only received one portion. The next day I called in and spoke with the manager on duty explained the situation and he offered to replace my bowl. When I went in to pick up the bowl the owner was there I was able to speak with him and explain the encounter I had the previous night that led up to why I was there for a replacement bowl. He listened to my concerns and apologized for my inconvenience and made sure that I got my bowl. He also said that he would talk to his staff and explain the importance of proper customer service skills I appreciate his efforts. read more

I really hate waiting crummy reviews, but I would be remiss in not warning others about the debacle I experienced at lunch yesterday. First off, there are no public restrooms, which I am certain is not legal. Secondly, there was a homeless man wandering in and out while we were there, availing himself of the ice machine. No mask, very unclean-felt sorry for the man, but why was there no employee enforcing codes? Last and certainly not least, I found several small pieces of foil in my tofu-veggie bowl. Gross!
