McDonald's is a nice spot to grab some quick food. If you order the more premium items, the better they will taste, in my opinion. My favorite item here is the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. That's a solid burger. They also have great fries here. Can't go wrong ordering this combo. I have reviewed several McDonald's before, and they are all very similar. It comes down to staff, time of the day you make the purchase, and what you order. It's always going to vary day by day. Usually, you won't have issues and will get your hunger satisfied. This is one of the better McDonald's in the area (food wise) but some of the things they do are so frustrating. They never fulfill my request when I ask for no pickles and they cheap out on you when using a coupon/points. I used my points today for free medium fries and they basically gave me a small fry in a medium box. Last time, I got a free ice cream cone with a licks worth of ice cream on it and so on. Just because I'm using points and not actual cash doesn't mean you should short me. This has happened every time I use my points or a coupon and it's annoying. If you don't want to offer free/discounted food then don't. Also, make sure you have the right order before driving off, they tend to mess up a bit. read more

Constantly getting orders wrong if you make a special request. I asked for no tomatoes and it clearly stated it on both the receipt and box the sandwich was in. Not that difficult to keep tomatoes off like I requested. Luckily the sandwich was good and the chicken was cooked perfectly. No sauce on the chicken so have to request something to put on it. The people who work at this McDonalds are 100% brain dead. They're slow - not just mentally, I mean even when they talk or do anything. The orders are always wrong and mixed up. I understand that was complicated on my end but we each only ordered sweet tea sprite and 6 nuggets but wanted each on a separate check. So i pull up to the drive thru & I ordered two sep orders then I'm like oh wait can i add one more order and the women she says no pull up so okay I'll just ask at the window to add one item to the second order since i could only do two transactions (very annoying on my part and i did apologize) So i get up to the window and ask if i could add more onto the second order then she rolls her eyes and is having a attitude I'm like sorry and she's still having a attitude about it for no reason She gives me a medium sweet tea when we ordered a large then when i nicely told her that we ordered a large she's like well their the same price like ok well for the same price i asked for a large She doesn't give me my sprite but instead a large fry which ok complete mid understanding so she's like oh i thought you meant a large fry I'm like no i asked for a large sprite she again, has an attitude and is like well I'll take the fries back then which McDonald's isn't supposed to take back food that they gave. This has nothing to do with covid but with what I witness. Verbal abuse to an elderly man who was trying to order a coffee and oatmeal. He simply asked for senior discount and they got an attitude with him and he said he was hard of hearing. They switched from a regulars employee to a manager and the manager had an attitude with him. Fries are always fresh if you ask for no salt! Burgers are what's expected and service pretty attentive. Drive thru is so convenient! This is literally the best McDonald's that I have ever been through. The service is dynamite. They bring your order to your table and even check back to make sure everything is to your liking. First time in ten years I have gone into a McDonalds. Went to the local McDonalds in Hazlet. To my surprise it was a delightful experience. Even though it was busy the customer service taking my order was polite and quick and accurate. Was given a number sign and a cup to get my drink since I was eating in. When I went to get my drink there was an associate there offering me a lid and straw for my drink and napkins. Got my supplies and sat down. Soon after the order was delivered to my table. Eating area was clean. Food was quick cheap food. But it was hot and put together nicely. All in all it was a nice experience that I have never gotten from a fast food restaurant. I have to say every time I go to this McDonalds drive thru I am told to wait next to garbage cans for my order. I have no idea why the can not keep up with orders like other McDonalds. There literally was no one behind me. It is evident that they have you move your car out of the drive thru to allow for their time counters to appear they are serving customers quickly, when in fact it's always more then 8-10 minutes. The orders are always correct, and the food has always been hot, and seniors can get a discount on fountain drinks. The McDonald's on highway 35 in Middletown could learn a few things by visiting the Hazlet location, as the Hazlet location knows how to get it right. read more
