This McDonald's is terrible! Service at this location is as bad as it can possibly be for McDonald's franchise. If you go through the drive-through be prepared to become incredibly irritated by the fact that the staff does not listen to anything you say. It may have something to do with the intercom and technology being absolutely obsolete. They don't seem to be able to repeat back anything you say and they get the quantities you order wrong all the time. If you ask for a large coffee with one cream and one sugar, they will absolutely give you a large coffee with four cream's and no sugar. If you ask for two breakfast burritos, they will give you four breakfast burritos. It makes absolutely no sense. I have had at least five or six different orders provided to me in a bag that were incorrect. This is forced me to have to get out of my car go inside and correct the issue. What is the point of a drive-through if you can't get the process correct.? It almost appears that they can't handle a two Lane drive-through.The experience does not get any better when you go inside to the desk. The staff just does not seem to care, or take the time to listen to the patrons and give them a proper level of service with an accurate outcome. It has been this way for over two years since I've come to this location. The social feedback is clearly, and overwhelmingly,negative indicating this location has a massive problem. It just does not seem ownership cares enough to listen and take the necessary steps to correct it. That may be because, unfortunately, this is the only McDonald's in a certain distance around our neighborhood. I do everything I can to avoid this location yet once in a while I have to stop in with the kids or to grab a coffee because it is available. Avoid this McDonald's like the plague. Waiting to order an ice tea, gentleman cleaning tables and garbage cans with gloves and spray comes up takes my order. He grabbed a cup with dirty gloves on, I needed different cup so he put that one back with clean cups and proceeded to grab a different one. I asked him to please remove gloves before touching my cup and could he please get a new one. He proceeded to say " it's only on the outside of cup" gave me a look, took gloves off, threw away the cup and proceeded to pick up someone elses food to deliver and refused to serve me. Did not wash hands either. To make it worse it was all done in front of female manager who said NOTHING,no teachable safety and health violation moment for employee, or a sorry to me the customer. Honestly, this has got to be the single worst McDonalds location I have ever encountered. One or two mishaps is one thing, but this place is VERY close to where we are and we were using it often - we do love Egg McMuffins and the McCafe drink combos. The LAST time we visited, two or three days ago, we went inside and ordered two McCafe drinks and a french fry. EIGHTEEN MINUTES later we had not yet received our order, there were NO employees working on either the fries OR the McCafe machine and we got a manager involved, who then went back to liven up the activity. It still took several more minutes to get out SMALL order. Several other people had to leave due to time constraints! The worst part is that after we were gone - down the road several miles - my wife tasted her latte. Guess what! It was NOT a latte! It was some sweet concoction that she ended up throwing out. There was no apology from anyone for the delay and we paid for an order we could not even use...and the french fries had had a TON of salt put on them that she had to scrape off in order to even eat them. This is NOT the only episode, just the latest in a long series of ridiculous delays, incorrect orders and being told, after a delay, that they were 'out' of something! This place is consistently horrible. In between the massively over-salted French fries and the really bad customer service, I have no idea why we ever go back. Our order is usually always wrong. Even if we order over $20 in food, the most ketchup we will get is 4 packets and that's when we ask twice. I don't think management gives a flying crap, either. Ordered two #1s with cokes. Came to $16. I was told they weren't serving coke but could have another beverage. I asked what other beverages. They said water or iced coffee or Mc coffee. I asked if I get a discount for not getting the soda? They said no. Then I asked what else is there that I could have with the meal. They offered milk shake. I really didn't want a shake but said ok I'll take a chocolate and vanilla..now my order is $22. I asked why it's $22 and was told because of the shakes. I told them I didn't want shakes and I am buying a meal that comes with soda. It wasn't my fault they were out of soda. I asked if they could at least do a discount? They said "if we gave you a discount we would have to do that with everyone ".... MCDONALDS!!! I didn't offer a product and not be able to deliver...You DID! Finally they are getting it right. Fish sandwich was actually soft and yummy. Also when I ask for plain burger not many McDonald's get it right except this one. I didn't like their decor due to it being really tacky and messy but now they got rid of all those messy paper flowers and now it's clean and nice to go to. read more

Been going here for almost seven years because of the convenience but tonight was the last straw. Service is so slow and when simply asking why, I get a nice rude response back from the employee. Like the many other frustrated customers, this McDonald's is awful. I don't know if it's the management, the employees, or what. But my son and I go here only because they have a play area. And it seems like every single time we go, they mess up our order. One time, I bought a 6 piece nuggets and only got four. And just today, I ordered a double quarter pounder and instead get a single quarter pounder. And they always seem to be out of things, whether it's toys for the happy meals, or they're out of milk. I just spent 35 minutes waiting for my food, constantly checking on it to see the status only to find out that there was another reason why my order would not be ready. I left upset and angrily, I felt like throwing the sundae's I had received at the lady who kept giving me a new time to wait for all the food, it was a $12 order....it shouldn't take that long at all. They waited 20 minutes to realize they didn't have 4 cookies even though the cookies are in front by the register. Slow as ever , order was wrong multiple times, and they favor the ordering kiosk and ignore customers until they walk over and have to yell excuse me a million times.they didn't listen to the order being taken as if they aren't used to talking to customers at all.... very very very frustrating. They should all be fired or at least be retrained. This is the worst McDonalds in the entire valley. I travel everywhere, but I live power ranch. The service here is slow and unprofessional. They always seem to be really unorganized. EVERY TIME I come here they are missing something. (Ice, ice cream, toys) Most of the time I stop by to get a kids meal for my son, they don't have toys. The overpriced cheap Toy is the only reason my son wants McDonalds. I have called various times to leave feedback but nobody ever calls back, which leads me to believe that they don't care. Today, I figured it out. They are consistently bad at this place. Even with different people working. The problem is not the people working there, it's management and the training they are giving to the employees. The people working there are a reflection of the training they are receiving. My suggestion is to drive 5min to the McDonalds on chandler heights and higley. Much better service. Even the food tastes better. read more

I wish that yelp would offer less than 1 star. My experience today was by far the worst of any fast food chain ever. It started with my total at the speaker box being $2 less than that at the window, but was never corrected even though it was an employee mistake. It continued when I was treated rudely by the lady giving me my food because I have a hard time trusting a fast food employee to get my order right. When I tried to get someones attention to speak with a manager, I noticed that the manager was pointing at me, with a smile on his face, yet never made any attempt to see what the problem was. The managers attitude explained everything, and I will be visiting another McDonalds in the future, even if it is 3 miles in the other direction. I saw that this place had terrible reviews, but I thought perhaps it is just because it is a McDonald's. That is not true! I have gone here twice now, and both times my order has been wrong, and the food has been cold. If you are starving, sure, stop here and get something. Went in on Saturday with daughter and granddaughter. Ordered two "meal deals" and a large fry with a large drink, so we thought. Checked bag when we rec'd our food and advised them that I was short a fry. Apparently the cashier didn't know that we ordered "meals" for two, so I ended up paying for an add'l large fry. Cashier just didn't know what she was doing. Will patronize the other McDonald's up Power Road from now on. They get orders correct. Renovating the store did nothing in the way of improvements. read more

The guy who took our order and our payment was so nice. Very personable and genuine. The guy who gave us our orders was also fabulous. Well yet again today this McDonalds messed up my order. We live right across the street and love McDonalds and this place is so convenient that many times we ignore the errors, but enough is enough, today a posting is due. I love that they hire kids and give them a chance, but they don't always care about getting orders right, half the time they are goofing off, i get it I have been there! Here is my experience today. I went thru the drive thru today @12PM. I placed my order and he did not put it all on the screen so I could not see it, he just said I will have your total at the window. He was was completely clueless as he was bee-bopping around like he was dancing or something. I told him no that is not what I ordered and since he only put one item on the menu board I could not see my complete order to tell him it was wrong. Then he said he fixed it, and I paid and he gave me my receipt. As I am waiting to go to the second window i noticed he completely messed it up. At window number two the young lady who was at least an adult, was very apologetic and I told her it is a shoot crap coming here. This is the truth, 60% of the time our order is wrong or a machine is broken. I have driven over to Chandler Heights and Higley because I do not want a bad experience at this McDonalds. Clearly by the 1.5 rating MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP DOES NOT CARE. I asked to quickly speak to the manager today as I was at the drive thru, and she immediately wanted to refund my money and I said no, that is not what I want, I want you to improve the experience of coming here! She told me she was a new transfer there and to say a secret word and my next order will be free. I just now spoke to the manager Daniel and relayed my experience to him. He said that he is working hard to change the reputation of this store. I told him I will check back in with him in a month and let him know if I see any obvious changes. This is the worst McDonalds ever. It is close to our house, so we have given it plenty of opportunities to get it right. We went last week in the evening because my husband wanted a couple apple pies. They said they were out of apple pies. My husband said "how do you run out of Apple pies?" Then the kid says, well we are not out of pies, we just decided not to make anymore tonight. So, a customer orders an apple pie and is willing to wait a few minutes since there are none ready, but you refuse?? Then we went back over the weekend to get a couple sundaes and they say they have no ice cream! Again, they admit they actually have the stuff for the ice cream, but they just haven't made the ice cream. Now this morning we stopped for breakfast and they were out of orange juice. Seriously? Saw one employee walk by a man waiting to be helped (already had his food, just wanted some packets) the employee looked at him and just walked by him like he wasn't there. Don't usually buy McDonald's, but my son wanted a happy meal. Since he did really good in school, we decided to reward him. The moment I got to the window, they gave me the wrong drink. After correcting them, they gave me my happy meal and then said and uhhh a kids cone right? I said no I have a cheeseburger. She said oh right, only something right? (It was only ketchup). Well as I started driving off, I had a bad feeling, checked my happy meal, they gave me someone elses order so I pull around and park up front and walk in. Another guy is already there with the wrong happy meal. When I announced what I had, he said oh they must have gave you mine then (sounded as if he got my happy meal from what he said). Nope they gave me a different order from his so that's 3 orders they screwed up in a row. I tried to watch them but they blocked it from my view, I'm pretty sure they reached into the returned happy meal box and gave me the returned sandwich. I asked them if it was the one the guy had just returned it and they denied it and said it was just set off to the side. I call BS, in my teen years I've worked at McDonald's and depending on the manager, as long as it doesn't look tampered with on the return and if it was in a short time, they will hand it off to the correct person if they come back. read more
