Today is ten days after St Patrick's Day so we were delightfully surprised to see the Shamrock Shake still displayed on the giant LCD menu. Alas, no-- clerk says they don't have them anymore, and they have no control over what's on the display. That's just not right. Other than that this was an acceptable enough McDonalds. read more

We were on our way home from the Bay Area and stopped here for an ice cream. The cones are small, so we ordered 2 plain sundaes. They came in a clear cup with a domed lid and weren't even half full. I asked if they could fill them up. The server asked another, who said, "They are already filled up!" They were pitiful. I took a picture of them and sent to my brother, who showed them to the manager at their McDonald's, who said that was unacceptable and that I should complain to the corporate office, send in a survey, and write a review on Yelp! So now I have done all three. Many items at Mcdonald's are a great value, and if the order is wrong, it is fixed. We go to McDonald's at a great many locations often. Stopped in for lunch (drive thru), ordered some burgers, large fries and a soft serve ($1.79 for the soft serve cone). Employee hands me the cone that had very, very , VERY little amount of soft serve. I asked "that's it", reply...yes!!! I really try to avoid fast food because it's not good for you nor is it inexpensive for what you're getting (mostly salt and fat). But in a pinch, this McDonald's with adjacent AM/PM and Shell gas station just off the busy I-5 was totally swamped with sweaty, tired travelers including us two. Their ice machine was busted and the soda out of the machine, warm. Everything was overheating including peoples' patience in this 106-degree day. To compensate, they sold every drink, even the mega size, at $1, scooping out ice from a giant bucket at the register. Still, with smiles on their faces, they managed the crowd and while they gave me the wrong sandwich (I wanted a grilled chicken wrap, I got a grilled chicken sandwich on a multi-grain bun), I have to admit it hit the spot. And the quick stop got me off the mind-numbing, white-knuckle ride on I-5 N for just a few minutes. read more

I can't believe that I am reviewing a McDonald's, but I have to because of my horrible experience here. We were driving home on the 5 back to southern CA and made a pit stop for gas and lunch. I ordered 2 kids meals a couple cheeseburgers and a fish filet. I waited 20 minutes because the fries were not ready. How can you operate a McDonald's without fries?! When the fries finally came they skimped on the portion (my large fry box contained the portion of a medium fries) because they only had one little batch ready for the whole crowd of people in the restaurant including the people waiting in the drive through line. I took my food to the table and of course all of the burgers were cold and they forgot the drinks for the kids meals. I had to return to ask for drinks. The place was a disgusting mess with crumbs on the floor, sundae syrup on the floor, ketchup packets and garbage left on the tables and napkins went unfilled. I had to go back and ask for napkins! Even my daughter commented on how gross the place was. UGH! SO irritating. The only reason why we stopped here was for the convenience and it was anything but that. Also, I asked the employee where the bathrooms were and he shook his head and told me that he strongly recommended that I use the restroom at Subway or Taco Bell across the way because the condition of that bathroom was horrid. Terrible service here!! My cashier got our entire order wrong... we ordered two small fries and instead he haves us one medium fries. When I brought the issue to him, he said "it's the same thing" and didn't correct it. He also charged me for three drinks when I only asked for two-- and he only gave me two drink cups.. what? Workers here don't even know how to read their own receipts! Lastly, the bun on my burger is BURNT. Also, their credit card machine was down but didn't tell people it was "cash only" until AFTER they ordered. Wow. Fast food employees make like $7/hour so you aren't always going to find ones that care about what they do. While this isn't always the case, I do try to be patient when we encounter apathetic employees. Luckily there were no such people at our drive-thru stop here to get my husband some food. Drive-thru was fast and very friendly. He ordered a double cheeseburger, 20 piece McNugget and Large Coke. $8.10 total. I really wanted a fry but I didn't give in. I regretted it as soon as we left. Stupid self-control, getting in the way of the delicious fries! Our order was correct and we had napkins, a straw, and 3 sauces. That's all I need from a drive-thru. read more

WORST BATHROOM EVER. I will also be rating the Chevron that's attached with the same review. Doors were locked with no sign on the Chevron that the bathroom is actually part of. You had to go through the McDonald's. A deer trail of blockades leads you to the only accessible bathroom: the mens room. A little odd but when you have to go, you make do with open urinals and a single stall and hope for the best. Open the stall and be welcomed by a full bowl of piss, filled to to rim and overflowing. Suffice to say, I touched as little as possible and feel like bathing in sanitizer after that biohazard. Stopped off here on the drive back to the Bay Area from LA. I have always said not all Mickey Ds are the same. This one is on the lower end. They took forever for an extra order of fries. I stop by this branch for several times while traveling back and force between North Cal and South Cal. Remembered they don't have the $1 drink for any size deal due to the agreement with neighbor Chervon convenience store. Today, just noticed that they have $1 drink now. Good! This is one of my favorite McDonald's by the Interstate 5, between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It's easy to get in and out from freeway and there's plenty of parking and next to a Chevron. The workers are fast and efficient. The food is consistent, and had always agreed with me. They also share space the Chevron convenient store, in case you need anything for the road. The bathrooms unfortunately are small and busy. Once arrived here from Los Angeles, you are exactly one hour away from Gilroy, the gateway to the Bay Area. read more

When you go to a McDonalds, you don't really expect much. This however is easily the worst McDonald's I've ever been to! All I ordered was a medium fries to munch on for the rest of my drive home. After about 15 minutes of waiting I kept hearing orders that had been placed after mine being given, which is always an insult! Again, all I ordered was fries. There are very limited choices when traveling on I-5. Of course the food is standardized when you go to any McDonalds so the one thing that differentiates one fast food location from another is the service. The manager at this location was really working hard to move the lines along, getting the most customers served as quickly as possible and that food was being served fast and hot. He succeeded in all of that. The sucky bathroom lines, tour bus crowds, and horrific parking lot situation are out of his control. So 5 stars for restaurant management, and I maintain my previous 1 star review for everything else. read more

Milkis. Delightful milk jug was had. Simply Divine happy me in which I was gifted just the toy I wanted. Facilities were mostly clean and there was interesting vegetable Decour. I haven't felt such happiness since childhood as a youth I can remember drinking milk and this really brought me back. Similarly the McDonald's was connected to a gas station which housed one dill pickle in a bag. My wife particularly enjoyed this here pickle. I looked away one minute and the next it was gone. If you also like pickle in a bag you should try Cheetos with it. Overall I think my kids would like it here. read more

I order a filet-o-fish and was very disappointed! The fish had either been fried to a crisp or left under the heating lamp for too long. I could not bite into it because it was so dried out. Oddly the bun was beautiful so it had not been under any prolonged heat. Was charging at the Tesla Supercharger behind the location and walked in the front door and was rudely confronted at 9:05 pm that they were closed and I had to leave....the door was open! Had to download the app and then work to figure out to order to have it delivered to my car. All I ordered were fries and the employee dropped them at the car and ran off. Stopped here late, about 10:45 on a Thursday night on our way to LA. No wait in the drive thru. The order taker was pleasant and professional. He asked if we wanted two pies for $1, which I normally wouldn't take, but he sold my husband! He said they were fresh out of the oven. We had the two for $2.50 deal, asked for lettuce and tomato to be added to the burger. The fries were just out of the fryer, very hot and not too greasy. Everything was great, except they forgot to give us the pies, and thankfully I discovered before we left the property. We drove back around, and again no wait. The guy was very apologetic, and gave us a bag with 4 in it! Don't know what we will do with the extras, but it was a nice thing to do. McD's isn't my favorite, but they did a good job. read more

***This McDonald's is a significant step below other McDonald's locations; their breakfast showed a great deal of carelessness in the kitchen--the orange juice was watery, the sausage gravy and biscuits was served upside down (sloppy and maybe acceptable if you are getting the food to go but not for dining in), the egg in the Egg McMuffin was very thin (they must have used a small egg), and there was a lot of eggshell in the Egg McMuffin (a little bit of eggshell would be understandable, but the amount I had really illustrated an employee's lack of concern for the customer's dining experience); even though McDonald's is fast food, they definitely have corporate standards and they are not being followed here; McDonald's prices vary by location and this one seemed to be quite expensive (maybe the high prices are due to its location on the 5 freeway; the next McDonald's is many miles down the road); service was quick despite the big crowd*** This McDonald's is attached to a Chevron gas station and (like most McDonald's) this property offers free parking; you may not want to park too close to the drive-thru or you might find it difficult getting out. read more

It's the perfect stop coming from the East bay - about a 2 hour drive to reach this location. I've stopped here many times, and it's not the worst place I've ever been to but obviously not the best. A lot of gas stations here, too! That's a plus. Gas is pretty good, not too overly expensive. read more

Most DISGUSTING restaurant I have ever been in. I'm off McDonalds for good after our experience there. Yes, it's definitely just a pit stop restaurant along the 5. After ordering, we watched a little girl vomit all over the counter and floor. Ok, it happens. However, NOT ONE EMPLOYEE rushed to do anything. It took a good five minutes before someone came out to clean the floor (after watching at least 10 people slip in vomit while picking up their food and not knowing what they were stepping in). Then, NO ONE EVER WIPED DOWN THE COUNTER. They kept serving food across the vomit counter. The manager turned his back when the whole thing happened and did nothing. One person complained about the vomit on the floor and the manager shrugged his shoulders and did nothing. I hate to think what the kitchen cleanliness is like if this was the experience at the front of the restaurant. I'm filing a complaint with the Fresno Public Health Dept. tomorrow when they open. read more

Same exact order....then why did they taste so different? Mine was bitter and watered down, his was way too sweet. I needed some coffee, my husband needed some food. I get in line and the two girls that had been at the registers were talking and completely ignored me. Then, they walked away. This was the beginning of the end. I waited patiently a few minutes until another customer showed up....and he was helped before me. He just needed to change an order so I wasn't too upset. Well, the guy who took my order wasn't too friendly. I waited for my food...the fries weren't even hot. And when I got in the car, I noticed that they charged me for a drink I didn't even order. At this point I just wanted to get out of here The only good thing was that my iced latte was delicious. I will never come here again.
