Rarely do McDonald's but was pleased overall. Don't let the combo BP Fueling Station/Restaurant combo fool you. It's all good and surprisingly nice exterior. Slow but efficient ordering at register that was accurate. Receipt with number and wait for order to be called. A McFlurry was immediately cranked out. Within 5-7 minutes everything was out. Hot sandwiches and fries all tasted great! No complaints from our party regarding food. However no one ever policed the dining room that had minor debris and needed tables wiped down. read more

Staff were nice, but did not know how to efficiently handle their jobs. Ticket system was disorganized as they just placed tickets on top of each other, only working on the top ticket. If your ticket was below, you were to wait 20 plus minutes before eventually giving up faith and having to ask someone to start doing your order after the 15 plus people that ordered after you got their food first. Seeing Amy was the Highlight of my trip up to WV from Miami, FL. Her laugh, smile and kindness was the energy boost I needed after driving for 15 hrs straight. The food here was incredible fresh and hot with the exception of the nuggets that was not quite as hot as I like which they remade with lighting speed. We ordered at the kiosk since the woman at the register was placing a HUGE order. After ordering we grabbed the 15 placard & waited for our food. Some tables were clean, and others needed attention. We found a clean table and waited for our food. But they didn't bring us our food. When we heard our number called, Husband retrieved our order. No large coke was in the bag, so he went back to the counter to request it. The food was okay. The personal service was lacking. It was okay for the price paid. read more

Very poor experience. Ordered at kiosk. No ticket was printed with order number on it. Thankfully other patrons we're talking about this so I knew to look for my number on the screen. Some customers walking behind the counter to get their own drink cups. No one at the front register to handle cash transactions service time was probably in the 12 to 15 minute range. This has always been a marginal location. I hope better things are in store for it in the future. read more

I've been road tripping from Arizona to Virginia for the past 4 days, went here to go to the bathroom and get something to eat. It is 10:34 when we get inside, breakfast closes at 10:30, considering it's only a few minutes past you would think if you ordered a breakfast item they'd be okay with it. Person in front of us in line orders something breakfast related and they have to check, and then they say we can put it on a biscuit, whatever, cool, I want a hashbrown and scrambled eggs and they say they cant do that. LIKE WHAT?! So yeah, don't go here if you want breakfast and it's close to their cut off time for it, you'll be disappointed. read more

This McDonald's is attached to a cute convenience store / BP gas station and seemed perfectly fine and normal. Service was friendly and efficient. My traveling companions enjoyed a Big Mac meal and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal, while I enjoyed some Gluten Free pizza from our well-stocked cooler. (Ever since my Celiac diagnosis, I pretty much avoid all fast food restaurants.) However, I did opt to purchase a small soda. I was planning to get some Powerade, when I noticed they had the red and not the blue, so I switched it up and got a diet Dr. Pepper. A rare treat for sure. It's probably the first soda I had in years. The place is clean and a friendly gentleman was washing the floors during our lunch. He kindly directed us to the seating area that was dry, so we wouldn't slip and fall on the wet floor. read more

Look, I would never give McDonald's a one-star review just for being overly caloric mediocre fast food. It is what it is, and you have to judge it based on those merits alone. And hey, I enjoy an Egg McMuffin or a McDouble as much as the next American from time to time. But this may be the worst McDonald's in America. Don't get me wrong, it's in a convenient location, attached to a gas station with a large outside seating area that's a perfect little rest stop. But there's just nothing that can account for how dull the staff are. I know they're not going to find rocket scientists to work at McDonald's. But I have to believe they could train these people better before putting them in front of customers. I've stopped here a few times to meet my parents who are big McDonald's eaters. But the cashiers always seem to be in training and have to ask someone how to use the register -- why weren't they trained and given a test BEFORE being put on the job? Even worse, whenever a worker here repeats your order back to you, it's always wrong. It takes multiple attempts to get them to finish taking your order, which causes a huge line backup at this busy location -- and they really do nothing to control how the line forms, so it becomes this amalgamation of people standing around in a clump fighting for leverage and also blocking all the drink and condiment stands. The last time I was here, a girl even asked me if I wanted an ice cream cone I ordered after finishing my meal "for here or to go." What?! What are you going to do if I say to go, put the cone in a freaking bag? Why does that make one ounce of difference in this situation? I just have to shake my head and laugh at the idiocy that I'm faced with at this location. read more

I have to give this place a one-star review for the amount of flies and uncleanliness I witnessed at this McDonald's location today, in addition to my very chewy, inedible spicy chicken sandwich...but most importantly, for the extremely rude cashier who I witnessed treat multiple customers like absolute crap. They were obviously understaffed, but we still got pleasant attitudes and smiles at 5:15 in the morning. Manager was taking care of orders and the food was fast and well prepared. I stopped off here just before they closed on the way home from Blacksburg last weekend. There was a bit of a wait for my food but the service was friendly. Also, they have a book sharing crate which I think is super cool. It's a "leave a book, take a book" deal. There were only a few Ronald McDonald coloring books for kids in it this last time but I've seen books in there before on previous visits. I may take a few books to leave there next time I'm passing through the area. There's a BP built in with the McDonalds, which is pretty convenient. My fries were cold but they were about to close so I can't really complain too much about that. read more

Most negative reviews are from years ago. This is the nicest, fastest, cleanest McDonalds I've seen in my travels. Who would have thought I would be impressed by fast food workers? The line was long, curling around and back thru the dining room. One cashier but she banged it out. We waited 2 minutes until our turn. The customer behind us used a walker and was an amputee. She gave him a numbered card and I assume someone is going to bring his order I him. Super! I wish I had asked her name. A bus group came in after us but she was just as polite and patient. This is attached to a BP gas station. Restrooms were clean and decorated nice. They sell cute things like signs with sayings on them, honey comb honey and sentimental greeting cards. The cashier was very friendly as was the assistant manager I interacted with. However, there were flies crawling around the food menu signs and other areas where the food was being prepared. Something needs to be done to minimize the flies coming into the restaurant - probably through the side door just a couple feet away from the counter where orders are taken. read more

I waited 32 minutes for my order at this not so busy place at the gas station. And upon getting my already cold food, I asked for barbeque sauce and surprisingly had been asked to pay extra. When people go out of their way to be nice it makes such a difference. My iced coffee order wasn't completely correct but I could have cared less since they were so nice. This McDonald's has terrible customer service! I ordered an unsweet tea with my breakfast at 10 AM in the morning, they gave me a sweet tea. I checked my receipt it clearly said an unsweet tea. This beverage was for my hydration throughout the day while I was working . I got to the job site before I realized it was sweet. I saved it and took it back to the same McDonald's on my way home this evening at 5:00 PM . the same girl that gave me the incorrect T refunded my money never apologized had an attitude when I asked for my money back on it. I realize it's only an unsweet tea but it's the principle all I had from 10 AM in the morning until 530 in the evening to drink was that tea but I could not drink it because it had sugar in it so I drink it. Instead I got to drink from a water hose all day. So to her it may not have been a "big deal" to me, it was a Big inconvenience. Sometimes it's the principle. if you make an error that's fine, because we all make error, but at least apologize to your customer and make them feel like you have a regret instead of an attitude. read more
