Dinner options that evening on the way to the hotel in Manchester, NH brought me to this Subway…read morerestaurant in nearby Bedford. We had road tripped from Boston Logan international airport and headed across state lines into New Hampshire that evening. I thought of what's cheap and open in New Hampshire around 8:30pm on a Thursday evening. My friend was still full from the Five Guys earlier, so I ended up deciding on Subway and proceeded to mobile my order in when we got to maybe 20 miles away, so we'd pull up and the order would be as freshly made as possible. The entire experience here, along with the mobile ordering, took about 10 minutes in total. Took me 5 minutes to put in the order while on the road, then 2 minutes to pick up the order after arriving and entering the store. It was definitely quick and painless. The lady was helping someone when I was arrived, but my order was already made and waiting for me. She was friendly and nice. So it was just a quick grab and go. Subway's mobile ordering system & app made it so simple, it's really remarkable at how these online ordering apps made life so much more easier and definitely convenient for anyone of us who are on the road and want something healthy to have. Quite nice these days for sure. I enjoyed the ease of building my order and quickly paying for it with a payment method already on the app. It's quite the godsend that technology and community has done to make life so much more enjoyable to endure. The overall experience here at this particular Subway restaurant location in Bedford, NH was quick and easy. It was cool to find an open Subway restaurant in the area that was open till 10pm that evening thru the mobile app. I enjoyed ordering online so I could use the time to get to my hotel and unwind instead of waiting for my sandwich to get made. The restaurant itself was quite empty when I was there for a brief moment but very clean and definitely spotless. Everything was seemed to be put away for the night and thought it was nice too that the restaurant is quite a standard design, so you can recognize the restaurant inside and outside. I ended up getting a turkey ham foot-long with everything on it except jalapeños. I need mustard a good thing along with mayonnaise and pepper. I also got three cookies and a medium size drink, which turned out to be raspberry iced tea. I try to not drink soda so the cookies would taste a little bit better and sweeter. For the most part, though, subway can be your potential option for anybody, depending on what you're getting. It is also a nice meal treats alternative versus McDonald's, Burger King, and all the other fast food ideas you may have. It just feels healthier eating here. At least that's what I think. This particular subway restaurant is located in Bedford, New Hampshire. Its physical address is 209 Route 101. Right off the highway. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. Mobile app ordering is key here because if you're on the road and want something before the store is closed for the night, timing is key here, unless you have the restaurant's phone number and you can phone it in. As far as parking goes, they have a generous amount, a parking for you to park and grab your order, since they share a parking lot with other restaurants and commercial stores nearby. Not sure if Ed, New Hampshire has public transportation that shares with other neighboring towns with Manchester, New Hampshire, but obviously ideally you would want to have a car of your own or rent one. Of course, if you don't have the means to do that, you can also have an Uber or Lyft at your disposal. As for me, though, I had a friend drive me from Boston Logan International Airport to my hotel in Manchester, but we made a pitstop here to grab dinner in Bedford, New Hampshire. So it worked out though, friend bonding time, and I get a free ride to my hotel. The footlong was made fresh to order and was definitely the highlight of my travel day. If you're in the area and want a good alternative to what's out there, consider coming to this subway restaurant in Bedford, New Hampshire. The lady in behind the counter is friendly and cheerful. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+

I spent a few days up in New Hampshire visiting my parents and we ended up going to The Red Arrow…read moreDiner for lunch one day. I liked the look of the place from the outside and from the inside it had a nostalgic diner feel to it. This place was pretty dang packed when we came in so after maybe a 10-15 minute wait we were seated, served water, and given some menus to be faced with the difficult decision of picking out a meal. As a Canadian living in the states, anytime I see "poutine" on the menu I immediately question what is about to be served to me, but I took a chance and ordered the poutine with chicken fingers on top of it. The food didn't take very long to come out and I was fairly impressed when it was put down in front of me. The gravy looked to be right, the cheese curds were there, the fries were there, and guess what? so were the chicken strips. The meal itself was pretty solid, although the gravy tasted like non poutine gravy, otherwise I enjoyed the meal. The fries were solid and the chicken strips were what you would expect from a diner. I probably would have been a bigger fan if the menu didn't feature something called the "trump towers" since I like to keep sexual predators away from my wife and food, but hey, what are you gonna do? Overall, The Red Arrow Diner fed us and we left with full stomachs. My parents love this place and will keep on coming back for more, and I'll probably end up here again in the future with them and give it another shot.

This is located inside a rest stop space and its food court style seating with a handful of gift shops/food places around it. Our only complaint was that the space didn't seem to have a working air conditioning. Maybe they were just trying to get folks in and out and not to linger long? There was a huge fan in the lobby but we couldn't feel any breeze from it while eating. When we left and walked outside, it was the same temperature as inside.
