This McDonald's location is well located with nearby transit, ample parking and lots of seats at which to eat/order and enjoy the space. Staff are friendly and helpful. I learned some things @ McDonalds today :) You can add 'sides' to your Hot Cakes breakfast: *Bacon *Back Bacon *Scrambled eggs *Regular egg *Sausage *Breakfast wrap You can add 'sides' to your lunch *Crispy Chicken I zoned out at Bacon. For those that eat the above, did you know you could add these onto your order ? (shrug) I had no idea, the cashier was excited to share - I let her. Haha !! Table service is available. Wednesday's 4-7pm reserve your table for family friendly activities @ Kids night ! (Check to ensure your preferred location participates ) I'd like to add the employees were great again during our visit. I saw an employee out from behind the counter chatting with a guest and her son. When our meal was brought we were told to "enjoy" ! I know it may seem weird to review a McDonalds. The decor of the location is a dated compared to some of the more recently upgraded locations. It's clean and spacious - which is sufficient. Drive through is fast-even with special orders. Staff are notably courteous and well trained. They are very kind with kids and gracious with seniors who live in the neighbourhood. We order a lot of "made to order" (somewhat) healthier food from the menu. As a high maintenance customer - I'm impressed they have never gotten my order wrong. On a side note-there is another McDonalds literally a few blocks west from the 149 street location. It's literally a one star experience compared to the service and accuracy of the 149 street location. Given the system oriented nature of fast food chains-you wouldn't think there would be much variance location to location. It is astounding the difference that well trained, competent staff make in a fast food experience. Fast being the key difference. This is all to say - it's worth going out of your way to the 149th location. read more

My father finally received a call from our local McDonald's as well as a lovely letter in response to his complaint, apologizing for the situation. He now considers the matter resolved and has returned as a customer. read more

Normally go through drive thru at this location, however I decided to go inside today. Upon arriving at the cash, Razel immediately asked if I would like a coupon for a free fry and drink when you purchase a burger, which sounded like a great deal! At first I was very overwhelmed by the new create your own burger, and was about to reject the offer. However, Razel took me to the screen and walked me through the process, showing me every step and all my options. Overall, great service. read more

Went for breakfast and ordered a sausage and egg griddle meal... two bites into my sandwich I pulled a blonde/white hair out of my mouth! It was disgusting! I went to the counter and showed them the hair. They apologized and made me a new sandwich and gave me a coupon. Went back to my seat with the new sandwich... take one bite and see ANOTHER blonde/white hair, this time sticking out of the sandwich! I was seriously gagging! Again I went to the counter and spoke to a different manager. Showed them the hair sticking out of the sandwich. Explained that I literally just got a replacement sandwich for the exact same thing! They asked if I wanted a new sandwich (by this point I felt like throwing up), obviously I said no because this is the SECOND sandwich with a hair in it! We are regulars as we live across the street. We went in today and ordered 2 sausage and egg mcmuffin meals with 2 hashbrowns each. Table service. She brings our food and says we have to wait for the hashbrowns.i figured they were almost done so asked her to make sure they were cooked well cuz i hate when theyre under cooked and soggy.. Thinking theyd be at our table in 2-3 minutes. Keep in mind we like to eat the hashbrowns first or at the same time. So we ate slowly. 10 minutes later no hashbrowns and our sandwiches were done. So i went to ask if she forgot about us she said no theyre done now.so i asked if i could get another sausage and egg mcmuffin for the inconvenience since we have no sandwich to eat with our hashbrowns left and it took forever even for well done.she cut me off and said no sorry you asked for well done..so i was gonna request next time we get it at the same time and the hasbrowns arent undercooked and she wouldnt even hear me out on that.and shes the manager!!!!never eating there again! read more

I have eaten at many McDonald's restaurants in my time, but this one is terrible. They seem to always get the orders mixed up. It is so frustrating to leave a drive thru with the wrong order. Also, their Latte machine always seems to be broken. At least half the times I have been here they told me there were no lattes available. Lastly, the washrooms are gross. It's been suggested to me that I should write my reviews on Yelp rather than just on my personal social media. I have lived near this particular McDonald's for the past 16 years, I mainly use the drive-thu on my way home. It's also just a few blocks away for those days I don't want to cook. The service at this location is consistently really bad from missing food, dead fries, dried up old chicken burgers, incorrect orders, no ketchup, no spoon, no napkins, no straws and employees socializing with their friends while my food gets cold at the drive-thu. Well a some months ago I finally had enough. I have written in about this location a number of times but nothing seems to be getting done to improve the service here. I used to eat at McDonald's enough to know that this location falls way short of the franchise standards in quality and accurate service. This is my post earlier today on my social media page: I should thank the McDonald's that is closest to my house for their consistent poor service. I used to go there a minimum of once a week to grab a quick convenient bite. I haven't eaten there in over 6 months and during that time, I have had McD's maybe 5-6 times in other cities, way shy of my usual consumption. Just now I had the hankerin for a Big Mac but I did a u-turn at my door and made a Sandwich instead because I remembered my boycott. So with that said I say "Thank you and good riddance McBloaters!" Best burgers ever! And you want to talk about big burgers? The Big Mac is huge! I can barely finish it! And the fries? Mmmm. Mmmm. I think the secret is the "natural flavour" . I bought a milk from there last night on Oct 16, so i could have milk with my cereal during my shift. However, when i went to open it and smelled it, it seemed to smell weird so, i looked at the best before date and it said Oct 14. It would be nice if they would check their product before giving it out to people since we are paying them money. read more
