Love the eclectic charm and the variety of intimate seating areas the Cafe offers. The owner, Heather, went above & beyond to make this night special for everyone attending. She is so hospitable and truly has a love for what she does, you can see it with her smile and taste it in the food & drinks her Cafe offers. We had great communication with her before and during the event, she worked with us in everyway, from the event price, to food choices & drinks, setup of event, and was extremely flexible on giving us what we wanted to make this night special. From the variety of fresh sandwiches, desserts, fruit, vegetables, and water/coffee/drink areas setup, everyone was beyond impressed. Great variety of delicious sandwiches, the lemon squares are so good here, and I highly recommend Cafe Haven's carrot cake, very flavourful, moist and it has the best icing topping it off. The food at this place is incredible and there is heart put into everything made here. Thank you Cafe Haven for the unforgettable event, and I highly recommend this Cafe for anyone needing an event location or a relaxing place to chill with a huge variety of great food & drinks.

The owner as far as I remember is Dutch which says everything about how this Cafe is organised with the wares of other independent creators being showcased and selling their wares at the cafe, the coffee beans come from a roaster I first met years ago at the old Downtown Farmers Market, and the whole place feels rooted in local connection. The ambience is honestly beautiful, and the place itself has a lot of potential. Unfortunately,…read morethat's where the positives end. The service was awful. One of the staff members came across as demanding and constantly pressured people to buy something. My friend and I had already purchased food and wanted to share because everything was expensive, but we were basically forced to buy more. It felt less like customer service and more like being pushed into spending money. The favoritism was also impossible to ignore. I ordered a croissant and didn't receive any chips. When we asked if chips came with the order, we were told no. But the customer sitting right next to us had chips anyway. When we asked why, the only explanation we got was that they were "special." It made absolutely no sense and left us feeling singled out. A nice interior doesn't make up for rude service. The atmosphere might look welcoming, but the way customers are treated tells a completely different story. I won't be coming back, and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place unless they seriously improve how they treat people.

We got a couple of things: an Almond Croissant, Bulgogi Poutine, a Lavender London Fog with oat milk, and a Peppermint Mocha with oat milk. My Almond Croissant was okay. I know almond croissants are made with leftover pastries, but there was no texture at all. It just fell flat, and lookswise it was physically flat as well lol. It was alright. I wouldn't get the almond croissant again. The Bulgogi Poutine was pretty good. The fries were delicious and crispy. The sauce on top of the fries was slightly sweet, salty, and savory. For me, the bulgogi could've been more flavorful and it didn't taste fresh but I liked the overall dish. Lastly, the Peppermint Mocha was alright. It wasn't spectacular. And I felt the same way about my Lavender London Fog with oat milk. I wish there was more depth in my drink. I think the tea could've been steeped a little longer. Flavor was there in my drink, but it wasn't strong enough. It was slightly disappointing since I've had amazing London Fogs before, and this one just wasn't up to par. Also my drink was slightly warm, not too far off from lukewarm. I feel like the price doesn't exactly correlate with quality for most things here. If we come back here, I'd be willing to try different things and pastries. But I don't think my rating would change much.
