It was frustrating not to have open communication and have management communicate the reason for the slow down. At least prepare some snacks for guests who have waited an exceptionally long time for their orders. I was disappointed with this experience, but have enjoyed many a proper meal at this place. My dad decided to give this place a try. Mediocre is about the only thing I can use to describe them not good but not bad. Burgers were a bit dry and chips undercooked and unseasoned. There is a massive choice of potential burgers in my opinion far too many. But as a chain it is not an outlets decision. Staff were very over enthusiastic and a bit too in your face for my liking. Price wise it is very over priced for what you actually get and i can't say I will be back. There are far far better burgers all over Glasgow for the same price of cheaper.

There was a bit of confusion on ordering; being used to table service at the city centre HBC I had forgotten to note my table number and me vaguely saying 'It's the one right at the back' meant my food was marked to go to the table next to us, but we managed to intervene when it arrived. Also we were told everyone from the same table should order at the same till (there were two tills) but then who would stay at the table to watch our things... in the end I don't know if we split across tills or not! Pretty damn pricey, I'm sure you'll agree. The good: - the drinks machine and refills. - raspberry coke from the drinks machine. - Cajun fries have a lot of punch and are generally pretty good. - Toilets in store rather than having to leave to use the Silverburn ones. - some staff members - Tracey who took my order was nice and chatty, and the guy cleaning up was really nice and checked on what was wrong with my burger when I complained. The bad: - the burger. My bun (bottom half) was super doughy. So doughy I had to take it back and ask for another burger. The replacement one was only moderately better. The rest of the burger was decidedly meh. - the vibe. It feels like being in Maccas which might not be a bad thing if that's what you like but for the prices, it should be nicer. - the other staff. I sat near a group having a management meeting who didn't exude professionalism - shouting at staff returning from breaks and telling another staff member she couldn't sit near them while they had a meeting. It felt a bit high school. Maccas is opening nearby soon, and I'm really not sure how Five Guys will compete. Sure, people will visit once to suss it it out, but then I doubt they'll be back. The double patty cheeseburger with bacon and various garnishes was tasty but very messy and not overly warm, the fries were not large despite being told they would serve 2 people and the juice was the usual weak flavour that you tend to get from the soda machines. We were charged nearly £35 for two burgers, one portion of 'large fries' and two cups of juice (free refills mind, but how much can you drink?) A nice burger but overpriced fries and juice, we left thinking meh, decidedly underwhelmed.
