Just moved out of the area, and this was my go-to McD's for when I wanted to treat myself. They've always been good to me, whether utilizing the drive thru or the lobby. After the remodel, this lobby is actually incredibly swanky. Only downside is that they removed the fountain drink stand that's customer facing, so now the employees have to get you a refill from the kitchen if you want a refill. :/ Not their fault, just corporate McDonald's pushing away from a business model that invites people in to stay and eat and towards drive thru or mobile pickup. Boo! Bad corporate initiatives! (Only reason I'm going four stars instead of five.) All the times I've ordered here the employees have been friendly and efficient, getting my food ready quickly and it's hot. The parking lot is sized appropriately and in good repair. The toilets are clean and accessible. This is a good location overall. read more

My rating deviates for what other Yelpers have said about McDonald's. I don't frequent McDonald's much when I'm stateside. In fact, this visit was my fourth visit to a McDonald's stateside. Coincidentally, all four McD's visits have been in Minnesota. I'd say that roughly half a year ago, I downloaded the McD's app to order food. It gets a bit confusing when I get notifications on my phone and I can't tell if it's for McD's Canada or the US. The difference between the two apps when you look at the icons is that the Canada one has a maple leaf. The US one only features the golden arches. Anyway, I got a notification saying that nearly 3,000 points were about to expire. Oh, no. I needed to use them up before May hit. I had just finished doing some grocery shopping at Trader Joe's in Eagan. It was the perfect time to grab some dinner from McD's. I did a search on the McD's app and found one that was less than a kilometre away. It's a few blocks west of Trader Joe's. Cool! I ordered the following items: - Large iced sugar-free vanilla coffee (free with points redemption) - McChicken - McDouble - Strawberry shortcake McFlurry The strawberry shortcake McFlurry is here for a limited time. I love strawberry shortcake, so I had to try it. This McD's is the nicest one that I have ever been to stateside. I like the trees and benches where you can dine out on a warm day. I went through the drive-thru. It's one lane. There were a few cars ahead of mine, but things moved well. I got a nice woman at the order area. I stated my order code. She found it. All details were shown on the screen. I had paid in advance, so all was great. There are two windows to pick up your order. The first window is your go-to window. I got my McFlurry and sandwiches. It took longer to make my iced coffee, so I was asked to pull up to the second window. Sure enough, my iced coffee took a good five minutes to make. I forgot that large means extremely massive stateside. I thanked the lovely woman and drove off with my dinner. At my hotel room, I chowed down. It boggles my mind how cheap food is a McD's in the States. Getting a McChicken for $2 is unheard of. Let's start with my sugar-free iced vanilla coffee. I love that you can get sugar-free vanilla syrup in your drink. This drink was awesome. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, but I do like coffee beverages with flavour. This one had the perfect vanilla flavour that cut down the coffee taste that I can't drink on its own. This drink has milk in it. I hope that there will be dairy-free options down the road. I was impressed at how yummy my iced coffee was. It was massive! I'll take it when my beverage is free. Here's my interesting take on chicken sandwiches. McD's in Canada have better McCrispy and McChicken sandwiches. It's the special mayo that elevates these sandwiches. Stateside, McD's finally renamed the old Crispy Chicken sandwich to McCrispy. The McCrispy sandwich stateside is dry and does not have any sauce or mayo. I don't get it. My McChicken sandwich had mayo with no taste. The chicken was seasoned, but it tasted bland, especially with the shredded iceberg lettuce and plain bun. The McDouble is the same on both sides of the border. The beef was seasoned nicely. It had cheese, pickles, mustard, ketchup, and onions. I liked this sandwich better than the McChicken. When I looked at the photo of the strawberry shortcake McFlurry on the app, the strawberry shortcake flavouring was layered with the vanilla soft serve. When I got my McFlurry, it was essentially vanilla soft serve with strawberry shortcake topping and flavouring on top. I would have preferred layering. Instead, I tried my best to mix everything up in my McFlurry. Other than the lack of layering (false marketing, folks), I liked this McFlurry. You got crispy strawberry shortcake bits that tasted so good. The vanilla soft serve was cold and creamy. If I crave McDonald's or want another iced coffee, I'd come here. Staff were nice. I'd avoid the McChicken, but I'd certainly get all other items again. (133) read more

I would do 0 stars if I could. starting off first, I had to repeat my order multiple times. I asked for a carmel frappe and they did not add it to the order. they did not mention the total cost of my order at the end of it.( you guys usall are supposed to do that. they gave me cold unsalted fries and a employee took my phone to pay in the back then made me pull up to a second window and did not give me my phone. We all love mcdonalds, but this one was quite disappointing. I waited in the drive through line for over 10 mins without it moving. I am not sure if there was a problem with another customers order or what, but the line barely moved. I had mobile ordered ahead and couldn't find the curbside spots. I suspected the drive through to go fast but I was left proven incorrect. Unfortunately I was between cars so exiting was not a option and it took about 25 mins from entering the drive through line to getting my food which is absolutely astronomical and very not like mcdonalds. Burnt nuggets. I used to work for McDonald's for a couple years I know exactly what they did at 11pm. They had the cold old nuggets put them in the fryer and handed them to me. I was parked. Thinking it's late they're gonna make them fresh to have little waste. It's late I get it, but my family has had a shitty day. Our dog died unexpectedly and we just needed some comfort. My kids kept saying they didn't taste right. I didn't notice until I sat down and started eating. They taste burnt, you can't expect much from fast food but damn there needs to be some level of decency. read more

I agree with every 1 star review and all the ZERO star reviews that couldn't make the list because you can't give no stars (something Yelp needs to fix) but I have to add one more complaint and this is one McDonalds should take very seriously, especially in the FRAGILE world of food service today! THEFT! It's bad enough customers have to deal with laziness, indifference, disorganization and racism to get a freaking hamburger but when the employees target customers to steal money, that is no longer a complaint, that is a crime! This McDonalds is known for shortchanging customers regularly or shorting their food that was paid for which they can ring up as is mistake or return so they are not only ripping off customers but the business ................ THAT'S YOU McDonalds!!!!!!!!! They treat theft like so many others in they count or bank on the percentage of people just brushing it off, I mean you're shorted a dollar or two here or there, for many if not most, it's not worth the trouble or your time to go back and complain and those who do, well........... Hey sorry, we were busy, I wasn't paying attention, mistakes happen, I apologize! Yeah, it's that simple and I'm sure corporate or managers say the same thing, but the end result is they pocket probably 70%-80% of these infractions and walk out with a smile until they come back to work the next day and do it again. This location only runs smoothly if a manager is taking orders and/or working window because the rest of the staff either doesn't know english or is just straight up rude. They have hired a ton of new staff that has been slowing down progress. the fries are never fully filled and they run out of things often. read more

Greasy and addicting. Today seemed that the hash browns were soaked in more oil than normal. That means 75 napkin rub down instead of 10. Them hash browns were screaming... Soak me up baby! While I was patting down the deliciousness of what will eventually be my future heart attack my fingers had enough grease on them I could light them on fire and use it as a candle for my adventures of getting back to work. I played the McDonald's monopoly and of course got Marvin gardens 4 times. What a great feeling. While playing the game in Boston I received park place. This is the absolute worst McDonald's in the state. I have never had an order come out correct or warm ..the employees do not understand how to do their jobs and will say things aren't available. If they have negative points I would definitely give it to this place. I have twin 7 year olds that like McD's and I live a block from this one. We have been here 10 times and had problem 9 out of 10! times. I know it is my fault for coming back to such a nightmare every time but the only reason this place survives is their location with nothing else around them. 3 times out 10 they did not have kids meals toys. Let's be honest- they reason kids like this place! Several times they had no ketchup. Ask Out of napkins and straws twice. Screwed up the order 6 out of 10 times. Whoever this franchisee is they have a great location but that is it. You are losing great customers like me and many, many others due to how portly this store is run. Vey slowwwww! I waited for any hour and never got my order... I thought this is an fast restaurant

I don't usually comment but this time I just have to. I placed a rather normal order (no additions or alterations) for 1 meal, 2 sandwiches and 2 hash browns plus a coffee at the drive through. It took me at least 5 minutes to get the order taker to understand that no, I didn't want iced coffee or carmel coffee, just plain coffee with sugar and cream. When I got to the payment window, I verified my order because I was sure it was wrong. The order was verified. The amount seemed a little low, but I moved on to the pick up window anyway. At the pick up window, one look at the size of the bag told me they hadn't gotten the order right. I finally gave up and drove away with only 2 breakfasts when I had wanted 3. Makes me not want to return to this store. Not to mention, you can't walk into the store and place an order with a person face-to-face - you have to use the kiosk. I have a decent grasp of technology, but I can never find what I want on their kiosk. So, guess McDonalds is off the menu for a while. At least at this location. read more

Complete rebuild and still b-a-d. Two drive-through lanes - waited at one for 10 minutes before being told to drive ahead and give my order to the person at the first window. 830p at night and service was so slow folks were leaving the drive-up lines. I pull up to give my order at the first window and she was clueless - pulled over a 'manager' who put the order in and stood there texting while I waited for him to hand my debit card back. WTH? Pull ahead to get the order - wrong order. So I wait for another 5 minutes to get that straightened out. Total of 25 minutes for a 'fast food' order. And the rebuild/remodel supposedly to be state of the art? NOT. View from the drive-up windows into the backrooms - I don't want to see that mess. Kiosks to submit orders - software is buggy. Booths and chairs - uncomfortable. Flies swirling around when I brought my granddaughters in to check out the new digs. Spend more time killing flies and less time helping customers put their orders into the 'new, improved kiosk ordering system' - that would be a major improvement. The only up side is the burgers are now fresh, not frozen. I don't know that this will be enough to keep me going back to this location. read more

I entered this McDonald's at 5:45 pm on Monday october 18.. After getting my family to decide what they wanted, I stepped up to the counter to place the order. Halfway through, an employee came from the back of the restaurant kitchen.what I saw made my jaw drop. This young lady had on the most enormous wig? / weave ? That I have ever seen.. Loose and unbound and all the way to her waist ! We immediately cancelled our order..pulled my protesting kids from Playland and left. The McDonald's corporation continues to deliver the worst quality products in the fast food industry despite its efforts. Take the shake, for example. They added whipped cream and a cherry which seems like an improvement, but the shake taste from the swirl machine is the absolute worst. If you are foolish enough to order a chocolate or strawberry shake-it will be half vanilla in either case and the hint of flavor you requested is nearly absent. If I could give this place a zero I would. I ordered a Big Mac and git another free sandwich deal so I ordered the fish filet with it, a 20 pc 2 mchickens and a large fries ... I git to the window and I have my arm out ready with my phone to scan the coupon...waited and waited for her to scan my deal mind you it's in the negatives. Super rude customer service, I get working in fast food can't be fun, but there are other options, no one ever smiles or even says HELLO! I walk up to the counter and they just stare at me waiting for me to order.....I'd rather drive out of my way to another McDonald's, super bummed after the remodel, I DO like that I can order my meal through a touch screen screen so I don't even have to talk to the people behind the counter! Even though this place closed down due to a fire caused by a spark, they should not even re-open this McDonald's. As you can read in previous reviews this place is horrible, disgusting, and has the worst customer service out there. I have no problem with people of a different backgrounds working there, the problem that I have is they don't take the time nor the effort to understand what I am ordering, it's fast food people, all the food is prepared by a microwave or a deep fryer nothing is prepared as you're ordering it. The Fast food industry needs to step up their game they can't just rely on fries to bring people in, it's more than just awesome french fries, and after reading the comment about the oil they use for the fries and the hashbrowns maybe that's why they taste so good. We don't know what were eating we just know it taste good, even things that taste good could be prepared under horrible conditions! read more

Sometimes you just have a hankering for a #2. I can't explain it and neither can anyone else.
