Food and service freaking terrible I've worked at McDonalds before and I know how they work when dropping old food in new grease or putting old sandwiches back on the grill to appear fresh and this morning they did I very nicely asked for a fresh sandwich cuz I can tell that they gave me an old one and then he comes back out after take 10 long minutes with the same sandwich just hotter. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart. I was down bad more than I've ever been, so coming to get food and being told to wait was an add on to everything else. The black stallion at the second window came to my rescue and let me know he threw in a large fry for the inconvenience this alone struck my heart and made it blow up like a balloon on some grinch typ. What I did not notice was that along with the fry they put two chicken patty's on my McCrispy. This has forever changed my life and how I view the world. I visited this McDonalds today and was completely dissatisfied. I customed order food for my family and when I received it at the table none of the sandwiches were made correctly. Some were missing bacon, and 2 were missing the burgers themselves. I ordered a daily double and got a double cheeseburger instead, When I went to complain, they remade the orders but the sandwiches were still wrong. Because I didn't have a lot of time for them to redo my sandwiches for a second time, we ate the sandwiches as they were made. I come here often with my family and have always enjoyed my experience. This is a first. The staff making sandwiches need to learn how to make custom order or at least the ones set up in the computer system. read more

Waited 45 minutes trapped in the new drive through. When someone almost backed into me when they tried to leave, a giggle came through the speaker. Nice! When it was time to get the food, I asked maybe to throw in a few extra nuggets for the wait. He giggled and said yeah right. I asked what the hells wrong with this place. I went to this location at 7:30 pm on Oct. 8. I had to pull out of the drive thru to wait for my food. When it was brought to me, they forgot my chocolate shake so I had to go inside to get it. I waited for someone to help me, but apparently it's policy at this location to ignore customers. After 3 minutes and five seconds, I decided I didn't want to wait for my food to get colder than it already was and told the nearest employee that I needed my shake. He decided the best response was to make excuses and completely refuse to help. At that point, I switched from irate to furious and let him know that I wasn't looking for any static and I wanted a manager. He finally found someone to make the shake, and then decided to give me more static. At that point, I just decided to be as rude to his pathetic ass as he was to me. This location has the worst customer service in all of Calvery County, most likely in all of Maryland. They are rude from start to finish when you go there, and no one cares - not the employees, not the managers, not the franchise owners and not McDonald's. The entire group is horrible. Fortunately, there are a lot more restaurants opening in Dunkirk so I will now be able to avoid this pathetic excuse for a business. And the shake barely had any chocolate. OMG. This place is so mismanaged. Nearly every order made here is incorrect. While dining,(after our order was incomplete), we watched as nearly all orders(computerized, drivethrough and front register) incorrect. Employees were earing frenchfries from the vat as workimg and sips of soda from fountain. When customers complained about something done incorrectly, they snuffed it off and joked about it after instead addressing issues and learning from. Seems so simple but made more difficult due to a lack in GAF( Give A Frick) or customer service. Disappointing! read more

Walked into the Dunkirk McDonalds @ about 9:15am, walked up to the counter, but did not get waited on. I walked over to where I could be seen by the manager and others making food, yet still ignored. Left the building after about 5 minutes. Everyone did seem busy, but that's no excuse for ignoring a customer at the counter. read more

I've been coming here on my way to work for years and everyone greets you with a smile and the drive-through is always quick l. I appreciate a management team that teaches and demands good customer service from their young staff as I don't see it very often around the county. STAY AWAY !!!!!!!! If I could I would give this place zero stars. There is NO customer service. I decided to stop here for a quick breakfast sandwich after I had been shopping. This was about 6:45 am this morning. There was a lady in front of me at the counter placing her order. This lady got her food and left. I stepped up to the counter and the person behind the counter turned and walked away as if I wasn't there and NO one else acknowledge me presence. Got there right before 11 a.m. on a Sunday. Drive through was packed and not moving. Restaurant looks new and clean from outside. We decided to go in and see if we could still get breakfast. One cashier working. Four people in front of us. 11 came and went and menu switched to lunch. Bummer, but I understand. But what I didn't understand was the gum smacking cashier whose response to the two men in front of us who were frustrated that they couldn't get breakfast was to yell "bye" at their departing backs. The orange juice machine or some other machine was beeping incessantly. Another cashier approached and opened another line and she was chewing gum as well. We are by no means a McDonalds family or eat their food on a regular basis. But when my kids need a quick treat, I take them there. They are open 24-7. In terms of service, I've never had any issues. Hussain Z apparenty has no common sense. They don't have to LIVE in a specific area to have been to this location. It's called traveling, or visiting family. Or considering there's years in between the reviews, they could have moved. Don't rag on other people's reviews for a shitty restaurant. I DO live in Calvert, for almost 30 years now. I've been here probably a hundred times over, and 3 stars is lenient. They're either super slow or continually mess up food -- either forgetting items you have to ask for and bring to their attention, or making incorrect special items (like no ketchup on a burger, etc). And more days than not you're stuck with rude, attitude driven young employees... They do have their good days, hence the 3 stars. But overall, it is definitely not one of the better McDonalds in the area. Don't expect a lot, but if you're hungry and really craving Mickey D's, I wouldn't completely rule them out. read more

Terrible franchise. Staff is very unorganized and consistently forgets at least one item from our order. Today I ordered a large iced coffee. What I received was black coffee over ice in a large white cup (not the clear McCafe cup it should be served in). The employees working at this location are clearly under-trained and overwhelmed. They need to take a trip to any other McDonald's in Maryland to see how to run the place during the breakfast rush. ZERO STARS. Used to go here fairly often. Used to be good. Just stopped in recently for a couple of double cheeseburgers. They were cold. We told the girl at the window. She could not possibly have cared less and either could the manager. They took the burgers away and brought them back shortly thereafter. They could have glowed in the dark, being microwaved to within an inch of their lives. They sucked. Plus, the cheese appears now to be a cheese sauce or some such nasty substance. I'm a Calvert county resident and have been occasionally to this McDonald's, I went today and sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes (didn't want to leave my sleeping toddler in the car alone) I get to the order screen and was very clear exactly what I wanted, I ordered by the numbers and didn't change or alter the standard meals at all, the only thing I asked for was large meals and sweet and sour sauce for the nuggets which was verified 3 times by the kid on the other end. I get my food and it all looks right at first glance. I finally get home and realize they completed messed up my order, wrong type of burger, no sauces of any kind and they even shorted my kids apple slices from his happy meal. If I hadn't just driven 15 min home and had family waiting on food, I'd of driven right back and had words with the manager. It's not a complicated job and they can't get the most basic things correct. place in dunkirk was just remodeled and was to have grand reopening on the 28th april,18, went there the 27th at 1130 am on a Friday lunch time , ordered a fish sandwich , it looked to have been under a heat lamp or something for a very long time the bun was dried out and very hard uneatable the cheese was so dried out it turned into something that didn't look like cheese anymore and had hardened, the cheese burger and double cheese burger were dry but eatable, only thing good there were the fries , when returning the fish sandwich to the manager Jackie she never said a word when she called back to someone for another I said no I just want my money back still she just handed me the money and walked away still not even saying anything , when they remodeled they should of remodeled the management, they should send them to edgewater to show them how a mcdonalds should be managed, I pass by there daily to work and will just pass by there now , never again will go there read more
