This place needs a reality check. From the employees, customer service to (Barney Fife) the security guard. Whoever owns this location needs to clean house. The Fair Park location of McDonalds has come a long way over the years. Located right in front of the fair grounds on Al Lipscomb Way, it is a handy location for a quick bite when you are going or coming from from a Fair Park event. The customer service here has been really good (and fast!) on the multiple occasions I have grabbed a bit here. The food has been consistent with what you expect from McDonals, so you know what you are getting from the get-go! My McDonalds go to;? I either get the Fish Filet Sandwich Meal, or the 2 Cheeseburgers Meal! read more

Really bad service. I was there with my mom, sisters and our kids and we were harassed by a security guard over filling our water bottle that we purchased there. He yelled at us, including my 76 year old mother, to get out. I understand not getting soda refills, but over water. My mom was scared and we were all ashamed. read more

On two occasions within this year I have come to this McDonald's with my verified service animal dog. On March 30th, I came with my service animal into the McDonald's after placing an order online. I was immediately cursed out and threatened by the security officer who blatantly called me numerous homosexual and racist expletives. I was able to receive my order that I paid for in advance, however when I left the side exit. The security officer followed me outside and spat on the side of my face. I contacted the store and finally reached the general manager. Who offered me a $5 compensation for the trouble. I didn't ask for his supervisor. 3 weeks later, I called him again after not hearing from the supervisor. He let me know that the supervisor was busy and he didn't really want to talk to me. One week later, I was finally contacted by ivan, the supervisor. He adamantly apologized and immediately offered me three free meals for my next three visits. I came once after that with my service animal, the same security officer was there but he ignored any communication with me thankfully. I return on Easter Sunday of this past month. I contacted Ivan 30 minutes in advance on his personal cell number to let her know that I was coming and what I wanted to order. He gave me affirmation that it was okay to come with my pets / service animal and that I should speak to the general manager on duty, Claudia. Upon entering the restaurant, two security officers were sitting down at a table with a customer who was eating. I walked in past them by, the shorter morbidly obese African-American security officer Amelia yelled out you going to have to get the hell out of here with that dog. He then got up from his seat, approached me. I showed him my service animal identification card. He immediately responded saying he didn't give a damn and I needed to get the fuck out of there. I mentioned Ivan's name and that I'm here to speak with the general manager. He then spat in my face while speaking directly in my face. He then began to raise his voice after I refuse to leave and purposely sped in my face a second time. On the second occasion, I put my index figure up in front of my face and asked him to leave me alone. From there, he walked towards me pressing into my finger. And immediately put me in a chokehold and with his right arm grab my waist and threw me to the ground. I passed out for 2 to 3 minutes. As I awoke to him attempting to pull me from the ground by my hair. I then heard him tell the other security officer to go to the other side of the table and grab me out by my legs and arms on both sides. Please be advised, I just woken up from passing out after hitting my head on the floor. While coherence, he stood above me and decided to take two photographs of me with his personal phone. I asked why was he doing that while we were already on camera. He responded saying, oh this is just for my personal use so that I can find you. From there I remained on the floor maybe five or six minutes for my own safety. I got up from the floor, sat in the closest booth. He began to verbally assault me and chastise me while customers watched and entertainment. I had already called the police and the supervisor Ivan as soon as I came to while on the floor. The police arrived, they took statements and did an alleged investigation. According to them from looking at the camera footage, and from witness statements. I came in yelling cursing and screaming and I then physically assaulted the security officer and he had to defend himself. This is all according to the police investigation and the alleged witness testimonies. That was only one person who was there throughout the whole thing that remained until the police came. The customer who was eating at the table with the two security officers. Please be advised, this is not a safe or secure McDonald's location to go to, ever. Yes, I am in the process of having my police report completed and looking into finding representation. read more

The ice cream machine is broken, as it has been for going on 5 years. I have never been able to get a shake, cone, or sundae at this location EVER. I am not being dramatic. The signs are busted, the sidewalk is blackened with dirt, where you stop to give your order at the drive through smells just awful (I do not know why). They are often outside sweeping, and the staff is pleasant, so I have to chalk this up to a franchisee who just does not give a crap, or a weak manager trying to keep costs low. Got one thing here. A single thing. That one item was a soft serve cone. They can't possibly ruin that in any way, right? WRONG! Horribly, horribly wrong. In the beginning, everything was going good, too good perhaps. My cone was holding up against the hot Texas sun, each lick was pure joy, what could go wrong? Until.... I reached the bottom of my cone and found some gross, un-identifiable black thing in the bottom of my cone, WHAT THE ACTUAL F?! So grossed out, I seriously can not believe that I didn't puke. This is coming from a girl whose nickname amongst her foodie friends is "Iron-stomach" because I can eat just about anything, regardless if it's something considered "gross" or weird. Gave us a spicy chicken sandwich we didn't order and did not give us a regular chicken sandwich. Total failure by this location. I come here all the time, they are usually really good and have fresh fries. But today I came in around 11pm and the service and food was above and beyond!! First the people were really nice, better than what you may get at a day shift worker. Second, the food was great and fresh tasting, way better than your usual McDonald's standard. Third, there IS one panhandler that's a total dick head (I know because he's always there) that usually hangs around the drive through, but tonight he manager told him to leave as soon as he got near. Stopped in to feed the kids after the aquarium. Parking lot is relatively clean sharing a lot with a chevron. We were greeted warmly when we came to the counter and everything seemed good. Halfway thru ordering a transient came up behind me in line to ask me for money. The cashier ignored it. Then I noticed he subsequently asked every person in line behind me. The counter staff was not even showing any concern like we worked there. Food came, we got in our vehicle and a different transient appeared inches from my passenger window asking for something. I had an incident the day before April 1, 2016. When I bit into a burger that I ordered several items through the drive thru, I got home and bit into the burger and it had a long hair in it! I immediately contacted their corporate office and reported this. I received an email saying it was forwarded to that location and someone would be contacting me. I had a message on my phone from a Kathy Akers (Supervisor) apologizing for what happened and said she would send me vouchers to replace the food we ended up throwing away when that happened. Here we are going into the second month now and still no vouchers. I called her again and she gave me a song and dance about how she would have to contact corporate for the vouchers...seriously? I proceeded to contact corporate again and once again they forwarded the email to that store to this supervisor. She has not contacted me at all on this matter and I don't think she ever will. The lack of correcting this matter obviously shows her poor management skills in customer service. I would not recommend this location to anyone unless you want hairs in your burgers. read more
