This place is beyond unsanitary- the trash in all bathroom stalls overflow with trash and used toilet paper. The lines are ridiculous with no assistance whatsoever. Everyone is confused with the ordering machines which half of them don't work. The employees hide inside the restaurant when they see people approach to ask for help. Avoid this location. We were traveling through today and made the mistake to stop here for a quite lunch. Our first mistake was to think it would be quick. Our second was to think that our orders would be accurate. Lastly, we made the mistake to assume we'd experience some semblance of customer service. Wrong on all 3 accounts. It took a minimum of 20 minutes to get food for the 5 of us. Seriously. I don't know what took so long but after reading previous reviews it just seems to be the norm here. We also had the misfortune of experiencing their customer disservice when we were told that they were out of medium-sized cups. My wife asked if they could just get their drinks in a large cup instead. Anthony, told her that would not be possible. Instead we received all small drinks instead. Note, this was AFTER we paid so we were charged for medium drinks and given smalls. Even though it was due to their error that our order couldn't be filled. Lastly, we experience another thing that seems to be standard at this location: their ability to mess up a simple order. Neither of my Happy Meals had their fries included. I hope that Anthony and his equally untrained coworkers have the privilege of traveling on a road trip with 2 small children who don't get what they want to eat. In conclusion, while I'm sure the wonderful town of Dalhart is a fine place to live, I'm happy I can say that o do not reside their, strictly so I can ensure that I do not have to visit this location again. If you live there, I'm sorry. If you're traveling through: DO NOT STOP HERE. Bring your own lunch, eat at one of Dalhart's other fine establishments, or just wait until the next town! Haven't eaten McDonald's in over 8 years and out of desperation stopped here. We were greeted by a swarm of flies inside. I still stupidly ordered food for my family. Our order was incomplete and even gave them my receipt to show proof and was still asked "are you sure you don't have it" even though I didn't leave the counter. Our fries were tasted like they had been sitting a while and the chocolate shake we ordered were vanilla with a splash of chocolate sauce. The manager looked and seemed like she was out of it so I didn't even bother. Back to avoiding McDonald's again. read more

McDonald's in Dalhart, TX features the rudest staff I've ever encountered, (aside from the McDonald's in Grapevine, TX) and an impossible to navigate "kiosk" you're supposed to order from, in spite of there being a sign behind the counter that said "order here." We tried to order but were completely ignored by the entire jackass staff. These policies of "no contact" should not be to the exclusion of all manners, whether it's because of COVID or not. This place just plain SUCKED, and they did not get our business. Went to Sonic, instead, where we were treated with kindness,and got a great breakfast, served promptly. My family and I ate there on 7/7/2013 this place was the worst. We were missing several items - syrup for pancakes, silverware, and daughters oatmeal. When I finally got my food the forgot to add maple/brown sugar to the oatmeal. I should have known that it was not a good place to eat when the place was as dirty as it was Do not eat here. Easily the worst McDonald's experience I have ever had. I waited 10 minutes for my food which was only three items. With a staff of what seemed like 15 people you would think that they would try to get people their food quickly. When I finally got my stuff, I hopped in my car and continued on my drive to Colorado. This particular McDonald's has it's on days and it's off days unfortunately it's more oftentimes. there are certain employees there that when they are working say the drive-through they can't hear at all the orders are always wrong or the orders are always mixed up in some sort of way. read more
