He's very nice and even let us sample fries a few days ago while we were picking up an order for a friend! I can't remember the other workers name, but my girlfriend is obsessed with ranch and the worker let her have a sample ranch with the fry's! The atmosphere was excellent with the creek running adjacent to the Red Boxcar look that this place is named for. We had burgers and I would rate them 5 stars for value and quality. The staff was average for mannerisms; not abundantly friendly but accommodating. About what I would expect from a fast food style place.

I also had an iced tea that tastes freshly brewed. The ambience is beautiful. it's a more of a drive up and walk up and drive in. There's no indoor public restrooms, but there are a couple porta potties located in the parking area. Wheelchair accessibility: unfortunately, this restaurant is not accessible at all the ramp to get up to the ordering area is far too steep and there is no access to seating that in the wheelchair user access independently. There's either a step up or step down or multiple steps to each area. Also, none of the porta potties are wheelchair accessible.

Running around Billings, Montana and everyone swears the best burgers in town is The Burger Dive…read more They have appeared in multiple competitions and won numerous trophies. The decor is a bit circus like with scant furnishings and a crazy red checked floor. However, one look at the menu and you realize they they are innovative with menu design and constantly pushing the limits of unique food combinations. Today, on the sign board, they had a blueberry BBQ sauce. The servers are busy and customer service at times wavers. We ordered the "Best of Bash" burger with blackening seasoning, bacon, goat cheese, onion ring, arugula, garlic-basil mayo and a splash of sirachi aoili. The burger was dense and somewhat dry, while the sirachi was a small dollop it was tasted in only one bite. The beer battered onion rings were heavy and sweet. The cajun fries were good. The burger, fries and rings are decent, but not remarkable. I felt The Burger Dive may thrive in competitions, while serving the masses is more of a challenge. Rather than dwelling on my assessment, please give The Burger Dive a chance and rate them on your own. It is hard to besmudged a business when they have a large and loyal following. I wish The Burger Dive continued success.

Ambiance - drive through, expect a wait as it is a well known, well liked spot in the area!…read moreService - our only interaction was with the cashier at the window, she was efficient & got our order right but not exactly friendly. Food - excellent prices, tasty burgers, big portions of gems (aka tater tots for those not in the know) and French fries. We didn't know which of the 2 of the 9 burgers we ordered (7 being cheeseburgers) were pizza burgers since they were not marked. We had to individually open each burger which was less than ideal. Unfortunately the people who had the pizza burgers couldn't tell us what made them pizza burgers and said they didn't taste much difference between the pizza burger and the cheese burger (pro tip - get your cheese burger "loaded" or they will come plain with no condiments, just cheese). We had a Bee Bop, that was interesting; something of a flavored cola beverage. The malts and shakes were phenomenal. I'd come back here to try other flavors and burgers for sure!

Historically flying burgers were always amazing when you bit into him they were swimming in a fabulous taste a little juicy. They were great. Now they're dry. That juicy pickle mustard ketchup taste is no longer there. It is just dry can taste those pickles but they are not like they used to be. My onion rings were cold. They replaced the old mid-century modern ordering system with just one kiosk. Maybe they thought that would give them time to make food I don't know? I don't recommend this place anymore. It is not what it used to be. It might have all these upgrades but if you don't have the food that you used to have plus you raise the prices what's the point?

The combo meals were filling and offered good variety, especially for a quick meal on the go. The food was fresh and flavorful, and happy hour made it feel like a good value as well. Order at counter and they bring you your food. Lots of tempting choices but I went for the street cart wrap. Should have ordered some fries but I'm glad I didn't. The wrap position is large. The pictures are deceiving in the sense that the dark wrap is actually a thick wax paper. The wrap itself is like any other flour tortilla like in appearance. I like the different textures in their wrap. Veggies, crunchy strips, sauce, and soft wrap. Service was friendly and nice. Would like to try again and choose something different to bump it up to a five star.

What a stellar place in small town Montana…read more It's probably easy to bypass on your way to Cody or Billings, but you'd be missing out on a friendly place with good food, great service and diligent bartenders if you decide to forego the food to concentrate on liquid refreshment. The burgers are cooked as ordered, and in a notable point, the burgers are as thick if not thicker, than the the buns they come in. Speaking of the buns, they do not become the soggy mess two bites into it that make eating a burger closer to a fork food. The onion rings, when they have them are some of the best -- handmade and huge with real, not minced, onion. The fries are also hand made here, and while they are good, I didn't like them as well as the onion rings. Service is friendly, attentive without being cloying. Make the stop if you are passing through and enjoy the experience.
