It took over 15 minutes to get one hamburger. There were three door dashers that waited over 30 minutes. No manager in sight to oversee and delegate responsibility to the others. Ordered Quarter pound meal with cheese and ketchup only. Waited 15 minutes to get our order, then burger had everything on it. Took them 15 minutes to remake after register gal reminded them twice about it. Ugh. Fries were stone cold by the time I got the burger. Next time I will just get a refund and reorder. Outside Lights including the Golden M are all off at 8:36 pm and it's dark outside, drive through is closed with orange cones to block entry and when you go in the restaurant to order I learn they are only accepting cash, is the credit card system down or do they not want the service fee that comes along with credit card purchases. This is not the first time I've had problems here, but this is my first yelp review ever. Hope that says something. Asked for pickles on my Mchicken and literally received ONE pickle. I also asked for extra lettuce and there was hardly any. The lettuce that was there, was in the container more than on the sandwich. The wait time is always ridiculous. My girlfriend's chicken nuggets tasted like ramen and seemed like they were taken out of the fryer waaaay too early. I've worked fast food before and given our food and service, I think there is a management issue or no care at all from the workers. I get it's McDonald's, but I should at least get a well put together sandwich and fully fried nuggets given the climbing prices and the amount the workers get paid now. The time before today, I waited in the drive through for 35mins and didn't even make it to the speaker to order. I gave up and drove away. read more

It's hard to go wrong as they're usually well maintained and steady. So what's wrong with this location, other than the ice cream machine was down... how about the Fox News programming that they force you to watch if you dine in their dining room. The program was super offensive... almost made me lose my appetite. I almost got up and turned it off but by the time the disgust wore off, I was almost done eating. After more than a dozen years of stopping here every time I drive from Springfield to KC, I will not come again, even to drive-thru. There are too many other options around... Last week I went to the Clinton, MO restaurant and had a long wait. People were beginning to complain, but then, we learned, that at the noon hour, there was only 6 people working. Bravo to those people for doing the best that they could do. With a sign outside asking for new hires at $13.00, and as much business McDonald's gets, owner could easily hire at $15.00, no excuses, and give those who kept your doors open a big raise. Ordinarily I wouldn't bother reading a McDonald's review, but when I did a "nearby" search and saw someone only awarded 2 stars to the Clinton location, I had to know why. I've stopped at this McDonald's numerous times for a Dr. Pepper (and maybe some fries) on my travels through Clinton. The employees here are always friendly, fast, and professional. Everything is clean, and no matter how busy the place is, the service is quick. I can't imagine anyone not being satisfied with this particular McDonald's. Oh, but the previous review had nothing to do with poor service, bad food, or dirty fast food restaurant bathroom. Nope. 2 stars because you didn't like what was on a TV news program? For reals? I stopped in for a Dr. Pepper on the way back to KC today, just to count the TVs. They have 2. One was on Fox News, but the other was on CNN Headline news. No one was watching either TV. Instead, there were just a couple groups of older gentlemen chewing the fat (maybe literally-it is a McDonald's) and drinking coffee. Surprisingly, based on the previous review, no one "forced" me to watch either TV news program. I'm not sure why the previous reviewer couldn't have just relocated to a seat near the other TV if she wasn't open minded enough to watch Fox. I'm also pretty sure no one would have cared if she did switch channels. As the welcome sign says, "Clinton: Good people by nature"--I highly doubt the laid back McDonald's employees (high schoolers and retirees) are trying to indoctrinate travelers here at the junction of Highways 7 and 13 into some sort of vast right wing conspiracy by forcing them to watch Fox News while they eat their McNuggets and sip their McCafe Mochas. read more

We were getting ready to turn in for some lunch today 6/7/18 when we were involved in a car accident. We were obviously shook up and our children were scared. It was compounded by us being away from home. The staff went above and beyond for us. They came out and brought happy meals and drinks for the girls. Then when we sat inside for awhile waiting for a ride they provided my husband and I with food. They also got my girls ice cream and cookies. They kept checking on us to make sure we were takin care of. We were blown away by their kindness during this stressful tough time. They were incredibly busy but still found the time. We will be forever thankful for their kindness. read more

I am an avid McDonalds customer, I've eaten at 100s of their establishments from Florida to Hawaii and pretty much every state between. Obviously I know what I'm getting into when I pull into a McDonald's drive thru, I'm not expecting a 5 star meal or excellent customer service. Although I do appreciate when an employee goes the extra mile to make my experience better. This evening I pulled into the Clinton MO McDonalds drive thru for dinner after a 14 hour cross country drive, the young lady who took my order had a negative attitude with me, I was there just a few minutes before closing and understand employees are ready to go home but I am still a paying customer who deserves to be treated with a quality experience. I get my "order" and don't think twice and head to my hotel in which after getting checked into my room sit down for my meal. I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese and a medium fry. When I opened my bag I was met with a dollar menu burger and a small fry. Really? To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Fries were cold and soggy, not the hot crisp fries I look forward to enjoying when I order from McDonald's. The next time you are traveling through Southwest Missouri I'd recommend skipping over Clinton McDonald's and heading onto one perhaps closer to Springfield or Kansas City, or just visiting the Hardee's across the street. read more

Stopped in on a trip back from Branson just to get a chocolate soft serve cone; it was the first McD on our trip that got it right; the cone was filled (not hollow), the portion was fair, the coating was thick enough the ice cream was not showing thru and the ice cream was not melting out from under the chocolate (issues we had at other McD during our trip). Yes, Yelp Elites hit McDonalds. Because after a long weekend at the lake and you're heading back to KC, sometimes you just gotta eat. And you can't go wrong with this McDonalds. As others have said the owners keep upgrading the place. It's got ample parking if you have a boat trailer (not a lot but a few spaces). But for the most part it's fast, and if you got hungry kids that Happy Meal can mean a happier 90 min ride back into KC if they're not complaining every few minutes that they are hungry! read more

Update: 8/18- This has got to be the worst McD's. Had a line of cars going out to the street and somehow is able to serve everyone cold . I think they might cook them a couple days in advance. You know if a McDonald's can't do french fries right, then there's a problem. On New Year's Day 2018, we stopped in for a snack. My large fries were only 2/3 full and they were way way under cooked. I could not eat them. My fish sandwich was room temperature. I think it was a 2017 hold over model. If I had been dining in, I would have said something. But by the time we were on the road and realized what we got, we were too far away to go back. I suggest if you decide to eat there, order it for dine in. Maybe they will serve you fresh hot food. Otherwise they might serve you some cold under cooked crap like I got. Just a thought. I only stop at McDonald's when I travel. Out of all the McDonald's I've been to, this one has been the best. Not just because of the wonderful service, but because I can tell the people really try to help you have a better day. They may not always get the order right but if they don't they always do their best to make it right. They're not perfect but they shouldn't have to be. Went there after coming home from the lake and my uncle got food poisoning- not going there again!

I have been to a lot of McDonald's in my life but this Mother's Day was the worst we have ever been treated. The employees were rude people and the manager was sticking up for their rude behavior! He was not even paying attention to our order as he was rushing around to fill it. We kept reminding them of missed items to complete our order but he was not paying attention and kept running his mouth to the other employees. There was not any plastic silverware to eat with and when we asked for them they were thrown across the counter to us!!! Three employees were standing there and that is how they serve their customers! We chose them over Wendy's this am because we were passing through and that is where my Mom chose but that will be the last time for us!! This McDonalds was at the crossroads of 7 highway and 13 highway in Clinton , Missouri. If you are ever in that area there are plenty of other places who appreciate their customers. read more

Now, I'm not one to wantonly throw out bad reviews for places on Yelp and the review has nothing to do with the so-called "offensive" programming on the televisions in the dining room either. Below I will justify my poor score with an elegant, but simple, numbered list explaining why I will never visit this McDonald's again. 1. I understand that Drive Thru windows get backed up sometimes, even late at night, working the night shift I see it all the time when I get off work. I'm not the only one with the late night munchies sometimes, I get it. That being said a 25 minute wait is a bit excessive for a drive thru window at 2:30 in the morning. Ordinarily, I would simply chalk this up to there being a lot of people which is no fault of the workers. However, when I'm sitting behind the truck in front of me and watching the drive thru guy just shooting the breeze with his buddy in the truck for ten minutes after giving his buddy his food, then I get a bit miffed when I've still got another hour of drive time to go. 2. I understand that orders get messed up sometimes. I've worked food service. It happens. I get it. Especially when you're under the gun at the window trying to make sure you stay within the ideal time amount per order that Corporate wants you to hit. That being said... when you're looking for a caffeinated pick-me up and have ordered a Coke with no ice it's annoying to get, instead, a Sprite with ice. Especially when, despite the line, they're obviously making no attempt to move quickly. I suppose the conversation with his buddy was a bit too distracting for the window guy to be able to pay attention to doing his job properly. 3. I'm relatively certain that the store in Clinton is a corporate store because their prices seem to be higher than at other McDonald's locations. In short, if you want value for your money and don't want to wait forever... go to the Taco Bell across the street. read more
