This place is terrible. No refills on soda, no ordering help. Kiosks don't work. Don't even think about ordering at the counter.

Took a young friend who enjoys fast food to McDonald's at his request two days ago. I was shocked by how two women employees were screaming at a couple of unfortunate women who had done nothing to deserve such vile abuse. One of the woman had received food different from her order, and the McDonalds employees refused to make good on their own mistake.. The two employees were shouting and yelling, making vile threats and actually called the police. I saw nothing on the part of the two female customers that would require any police action. It was heart breaking to see such racist rage and lies from the McDonald's employees. We walked out and went elsewhere. I would never spend a cent at this filthy business. read more

Never got my food. I ordered online and it said my order was ready on the tracker. When I got there the lights were off and some employee was talking to a homeless man and told me the store is closed. I asked her when do they open and she just shrugged. What the heck just happened? I lost out on 30$ and got a sped attitude when I asked about it. I will never come back. I gave McDonald's so many chances. It's not often McDonald's branches are reviewed, but this was a good one. Funny enough, my wife felt like chicken nuggets outta the blue and since it's her birthday week...off we went! Notably, drive-through isn't available here, just curbside pickup with orders done at the counter or on mobile device. The spicy nuggets (didn't even know these existed until we visited) were surprisingly tasty and my soft serve cone was actually served properly rather than upside-down in a cup! In this COVID time, it's all about #thelittlethings. Mobile ordering was a breeze and the server had our food out within minutes, so you'll at least know that your fast food cravings will be satisfied with little to no fuss. read more

The soda machine is not only covered in ants but there are hundreds IN the syrup. We drank most of the drink before we realized there's was ants in the drink and the manager didn't even care. She did not refund or compensate us and didn't even close the machine to other customers. I begged her to at least close it so they can clean the machine and she refused. While I write this, so many poor people are serving themselves from this health hazard. So disgusting. read more

@McDonalds cold #fries, bring in my receipt for a "fresh order." Req to go back out and get the fries like... I'm lying? Dumps them. No temp check. Would have to know they're cold when serving them bc it's the last of the fries. Not salty. Annnnd there were napkin pieces in the fries. gross. The best McDonald's I've ever visited! And definitely the best McDonald's in the Central Coast area! The minute we stepped into this McDonald's, we were greeted by a friendly employee at the door. I placed my large order and it only took 2 minutes to receive my food (during a busy lunchtime). The person at the pickup counter double-checked to make sure I received everything and as my order included a coffee with cream, offered to put the cream in my coffee. This McDonald's is not only very clean but very contemporary and huge, double in size of a typical McDonald's with an entire extra back room. Throughout our meal, friendly employees asked if we were enjoying our meal and if we needed any sauce. The food was good. On our way out, an employee wished us a good weekend. I was here 4 days ago and got the unsweetened ice tea. I thought it was a bit odd that the tea was cloudy. What a huge mistake! I threw up many times about 4 hours later. Developed a severe intense headache upon vomiting that ruined our vacation in Avila Beach! I'll never have McDonald's iced tea ever again!!! Never got to San Luis Obispo! Sad trip. read more

Not mention to their food quality, however, the staffs serving attitude is really a problem in the store. Staffs should know that customers are people who pay their salaries. We came in for lunch. We had to use the restrooms....OMG! how can any business dare treat their customers with such a disgusting, stinky bathroom?? I thought I was going to faint! but needed to use this service. My husband had the same impression, he was also unnerved. Came here for a quick stop to order a lil caffeine (caramel frappe) for a road trip and quickly realized there is no drive thru! I've never seen a McDonald's without one, but hey, I guess it works for them. I wasn't inside log enough to review extensively, but it was very clean (always appreciate) and the staff was friendly. I knocked a star off because although my frappe did what it needed to do, it was very watery and not tasty as I know they can be. I cannot review the food. read more

***HEALTH RISK REVlEW!!!**** Terrible customer service. There is a tall lady working in the front who has an arrogant attitude towards the customers. I am writing a review because they did something that was a risk to health safety. We ordered things for dine in at 2:34pm on Dec 4 ( order number 829). The lady with an attitude served us our food and mistakenly gave us an extra drink. After a couple of minutes, we figured out that there was an extra drink we did not pay for. My mom returned it coz we wanted to be honest. At the counter, she was just arrogantly told by the same lady to just leave it on the counter which was weird because usually restaurants just let u have anything that u wanna return out of courtesy and health safety I am sure. Well, to our surprise, they gave the same cup to a different customer after a few minutes. BIG RED FLAG! What if we were bad people who put poison into the drink or something?? Restaurants r not supposed to give any food or drinks to their customers unless it came directly from their kitchen. And what made it worse for us is that the same lady took a short break to eat ice cream and without a care sat with her shoes up on the seat. What is the point of sanitizing the tables when their employees will just do that? She even left her shoe mark on the seat. I wanted to take a photo but by the time I took out my phone to do it, she got up. I have never seen that type of unprofessionalism from a McDonald's employee. I'm something of a McDonald's connoisseur and this ain't it chief. Hair in my food, messed up order twice, and everything tasted old last time I went. Everyone there clearly does not give a flying pancake, even the customers and even me, but when I want a top quality sausage sammy, I expect nothing less. That being said, I love this place. I love the staff here - most are pleasant, courteous, and helpful. However, ownership remains more interested (disproportionately interested compared to other McDonald's locations in other areas) in squeezing more money from you. Other McDonald's businesses still charge a dollar for any size drink. Depending on where in Ventura County (or this one in Carpinteria, SB County), the prices for medium or large run up to $1.69 I could understand it if McDonald's nationwide stopped the dollar promotion but that's not the case. Sad because it reflects a distain for folks trying to deal with $6 gas and increases everywhere else. I'll make other Yelp entries for Ventura McDonald;s as well as this one. read more

Ok to start off my review the place was a mess, but that was the least of my concerns. First off some homeless people went by in scooters and dinged me fathers Bentley. When I asked for a manager the employee said ok I'll get him. He came outside his office and when I told him what happened and asked to see the cameras he smiled and snickered and told me he doesn't have access and that I can come back tomorrow when there's a manager even thought I was told he was a manager and he went back to his office. Next out came our food, the iceed coca coke was a bunch of shaved ice and a pool of syrup at the e bottom of the cup. As for my burger I got a double blt thing. It had no patties. The customer service at this location is the worse I have experienced at any McDonalds. The young men and women who work here are not receiving the proper training in food service. I ordered a large coke and a young man VenturaMcflurrysbrought it out covered in spilled soda on the top and the sides. I asked him to clean in and he got about 50% of it off. He was handed the coke from the employee that filled and both of them didn't think for a second that it should be wiped down before giving to the customer. To add insult to injury, the syrup tank needed to be changed and the drink was over carbonated. I'm a resident of Carpinteria and will never visit this location again. read more
