Is it weird to say that McDonalds has good tasting food for once?! I mean really good and actually doesn't taste frozen? There is also real spinach?! I order my usual egg mcmuffin meal. Usually when I order egg mcmuffins here in LA, the bread is sometimes only warm to the point where you leave it out for 5 minutes it gets cold. BUT THIS location...wow, my egg mcmuffin sandwich was so soft and HOT! That is the first time I got a sandwich that tasted so different. I love my egg mcmuffin sandwich. Since they were advertising the new breakfast bowls everywhere, my BF wanted to try it. You see it on their walls, the counter, just everywhere you look! Good job on advertising! We got to try the turkey sausage with egg whites and spinach breakfast bowl. My BF was really surprised to see real spinach in Mcdonalds and he kept commenting on his breakfast bowl to everyone afterwards. Its affordable, about $4-5 for a bowl and tastes very good! Egg whites are soft and fluffy, turkey sausage was a perfect balance of salt to the whole bowl. I would order this again. This location, they will bring the food to you when it's ready. How awesome! As far as McDonalds go, this is definitely one of the nicer ones. Newly remodeled it has a modern feel. Very clean and airy. Food: I have to say that the chain is making an improvement in its offering. My girls had happy meals with chicken, fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, and a reasonable portion of French fries. I had a chicken wrap which wasn't bad. It's a step up from just hamburgers and French fries. That being said, it's still not what I world choose on a regular basis. We stopped off to grab a water and a snack for the road and we waited in the drive thru line for 15 minutes. The car in front of us finished ordering and the clock hit 11:00 and they shut off the lights and just said "sorry we are closed" at the speaker. I want you to know I drive between Carlsbad to LA back and forth 4-5 times per week and frequent many McDonalds. Worst MacDonalds in all of North County! 3/4 times they have your orders wrong! And if asked to wait for an item at one of their reserve spots they forget you're there! Had to walk after 18 min to claim my missing items from my orders! Also, when asked to add fries to my order I was told I had to go back in line at the drive through! This might be one of the worst McDonald's I've been to. The bathrooms were dirty, and my chicken nuggets tasted like they had been out and refried at least 3 times. The customer service wasn't even close to good. And I am a very nice person, or at least try to be since I've worked in a fast paced and tiring environment before, so I know I didn't do anything to upset anyone at this moment. There is a manager here that wouldn't take the money out of my hand and had to make me put it on the window and got mad and threw my money back at me when I told him to take my money and please give me my sandwich now otherwise I'd give this place zero stars I would never go back in for service if I have a chance I went to jail for two days because I waited and said no I'm not going anywhere please give me my sandwich to the manager where his iPhone and his hand and was doing something on the cash register I'm not sure but he seem like he was the most important person there. Visited yesterday for lunch. While they were decently busy while I was there, I've been to many locations when they were much busier and had better experiences. The ONE person working the counter took the orders of certain customers and quite rudely told others to go use the kiosks to order, even when there was only 1 or 2 people in line. Every person I saw there seemed angry and/or unprofessional...with the exception of the lady who was cleaning up the seating areas AND bringing orders to those waiting at tables...she was smiling and friendly. Perhaps the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had. I came in for 2 sausage & egg McMuffins and a coffee on my way to work, and the drive through line looked long so I walked in...what a terrible mistake that was. There were 3 customers in front of me, all waiting to even place there order. It looked like manger was taking orders, however several times mid order, she would walk away from the customer to attend to something in the back or at the drive through window... literally mid order! I should have left, but stayed due to my hunger and love of McDonald's breakfast, but I too had my order interrupted midway. However the manager then canceled my order and had another employee come over who was carry a box, and then jump in and run the register. This new employee seemed quite confused as to how to operate the screen, and had to confirm what I wanted several times. Finally, I got my bag and jumped in the car, this experience having taken far to long. I reach in the bag, and I was stiffed! Went here 4th of july right after Legoland closed. Drive through was CRAZY with like 15 cars in line. There was like 10+ people inside trying to order in the new computerized kiosks as well as the traditional line. Let's just say it was super stressful for the workers at McDonalds. To my surprise though, our order was billed correctly through the machine kiosk. Also, seeing the HUGE line... I thought our wait would be like 20min. The food came out more like 10min. Pretty amazing to me that they were able to fulfill both drive through and instore. I agree though.. this place is disorganized. Maybe some border directions for lining up... and maybe have someone direct foot traffic to the kiosks. In the end, I was impressed that they fulfilled the orders in a timely manner. Ok. I understand the whole COVID issue right now but that does jot erase this order takers lack of customer service to the point of getting the order correct! First off she argued with me about what I was trying to order. She told me that they don't make those (egg white delight and the yogurt parfait), then she said they don't make the mcchicken biscuits (which was right there on the screen). okay, in the interest of full disclosure, got there a couple minutes past 10 am after a blood draw just down the street at KAISER. having already been poked, prodded and nearly sucked dry (while not having eaten since yesterday) and was predisposed to being cranky. i think of myself as a fan of McDONALD's breakfasts which i remember eating twice in the last ten years. the last time i had lunch or dinner at MICKY D's, i think i had a HAPPY MEAL which i ordered for the toy premium -- so, it's been a while since i have a grandson. intrigued by the commercials, i thought i'd try that burger with jalapeños and jalapeño strings i kept seeing during the CHARGERS triumph over the SUPER BOWL CHAMPION SEAHAWKS yesterday. much to my dismay, they don't serve "lunch" till after 10:30 am. remember that BURGER KING commercial (about the same time i was picking up a HAPPY MEAL) about "hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us" -- well today, a regular order upset McDONALD's and that upset me. a commercial is a promise and nobody should make promises they can't keep. read more
