I got the sandwich and was a little surprised by the size; almost the size of a slider. However, it was cooked perfectly, lightly breaded, great comfort food, tasted great. Staff were accomidating. Well, it's McDonald's on Muldoon, my expectations were not high, but.... I had hope. During this entire experience, i was literally the only car in the drive thru..... I pull up to hear "order when you're ready" Ok..... about 3 seconds later I hear it again. I place my order and pull forward, and what do I see? Either incompetence or pettiness, my guess is on the latter. The kid at the window takes my card and proceeds to take his sweet time slowly swiping it, and then talks to his coworker while my receipt sits there. I finally get my card back and pull forward. I then sit there for 6 minutes while each staff member comes by the window, and while my drink sits on the counter. Finally, some one comes over and slowly gives me my food. The customer service people assured me that their lobby opens at 8 o'clock. Today I had the opportunity to go there, and at 8:20 their door was locked. When I knocked on the door, they looked at me and turned around and refused to reply. Continued knocking another person attempted to come over to the door, but the manager appeared to have told them not to because he turned away, and did not open the door. I was in the middle of running errands earlier today when I decided to stop in at this location for a quick and cheap lunch. This McDonald's is located on Muldoon between the Glenn Highway and Duben Ave. next to a gas station. This particular spot holds the distinction of being the smallest standalone McDonald's that I have ever been in anywhere around the country not counting airports or food courts in the mall. For lunch, all I wanted was something to fill me up for the next couple of hours while out and about trying to get things done. I ordered a 20pc. Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a medium drink. The food was decent by Mcdonald's standards and service was quick and friendly, but the seating area has got to be the worst of all the locations here in town. There was only one booth, one half-booth, and a high counter with stools running along the windows by the entrance, nothing else. When I walked in, both booths were taken but four stools were available at the window counter. By the time I received my order at the register, all four counter stools were already taken by a family with kids that had just walked in. I was awkwardly standing with my tray in hand with nowhere to sit at all. How does that happen at a McDonald's of all places? I spoke to an employee about the lack of seating and asked if they had any plans to remodel the dining area to make it more spacious with added chairs and tables for customers eating in. He was apologetic and said that other diners have also complained about this before, but the upper management has refused to do anything about it considering there are two other locations down the street in opposite directions. It seems pointless to operate this location with a seating area if nothing is going to be done to address the problem. It would be better just to close it off and operate strictly as a drive-thru location. So incredibly frustrated. When you come through a drive threw and ask for everything to be dropped fresh that's what I expect to be done. That's what I'm paying for. This isn't this first time I've come through this drivethrew and it been this way. Usually I don't complain bc I'm too tired to even deal with it. So tonight I stop in order my family's food tell them I'll wait for everything to be dropped fresh. Needless to say the nuggets were cool and clearly weren't dropped fresh as well as the fries. The only positive was the orange HIC. When I call the manager "star" tells me that I need to drive 10 minutes back to the store with the food for her to replace it. I'm actually dumb rounded. Maybe this store just has an issue with stuff of this nature. Maybe it's because people aren't getting what they pay for. It's not the first time I've asked for my food to be dropped fresh and it not happen so I'm not shocked that people call and complain. Not once have I ever been asked to get re dressed and back in my vehicle for a mistake the staff made. I'm beyond frustrated and it's sad bc this is the closest one to our home. Drive-Thru is always busy (especially during lunch time,) the staff is kinda rude on good days, and flat out awful on bad days. Honestly, the best McDonalds I've been to is the one on I believe spenard next to Carrs and Blockbuster. This one is super small, not leaving much room for sitting down even if you wanted to. Often the bathrooms are dirty and smelly. Members of my family have gotten sick after eating at this particular McDonalds multiple times. We've never had this problem at the other ones. The staff frequently mix up orders, and get angry when you ask them to exchange it for what you had originally ordered. Bottom line is, there are plenty of other McDonalds in this city, but why eat here at all when there are so many other (better for you,) food places within the same vicinity? read more

I don't know why I keep going here (2+yrs), oh yeah cause it's literally less than two blocks away. however, their service is terrible. it doesn't matter if go through drive thru or through uber eats, the food is either poorly\sloppily made, not according to instructions, and/or stale or cold. They don't follow or read the instructions given verbally or typed in the online orders. if you ask for coffee with your breakfast you have to remind them at the window because they either didn't enter the order as a meal or you have to remind them to give you the creamer and sweeteners on the side (not a fan of the generic crap). I used to work for McDonald's before they upgraded the equipment in the 90's and even then my orders were fresh and presentable. pay attention, get off your phones and read your screens. how hard is it to make a drink w/o ice per instruction! And no, I don't like globs of mayo or tarter sauce as the main ingredient. I'll be going back to BK or another McD's for now on. it'd sure be nice if the owners paid attention to what their staff are doing. read more

I decided to stop by the Muldoon McDonald's which was my first and last visit. They charged me $2.00 for each McChicken when the ones I get from my main McDonalds are $1.75... when the dude at the window gave me my change back he didn't include the 70¢ that was with my $3.70 change They basically robbed me $1.20. I really wanted an Egg McMuffin for dinner, they advertise all-day breakfast. Nope, that's not the case it's more like an extended breakfast that they offer until 1 pm. Take it off your menu if you don't offer 'ALL DAY BREAKFAST'. I know I've had a McMuffin for dinner before but I guess I must have been dreaming. Alaska I don't speak your lingo!!! Lol Well I feel dumb. I asked for a biscuit combo with Canadian bacon and I received "a biscuit with 2 strips of bacon." I should have posted my receipt on here but anyway No cheese and no egg. Incase you have dumb customers ask them if they want egg and cheese with that. The only thing I wanted different on my biscuit combo was that I wanted Canadian bacon instead of regular bacon. But I guess I have to be super specific. I asked for a sandwich with "lots of pickles". Pretty simple right? And of course my mistake was to not check the sandwich right after they handed it to me because I'm not rude enough to hold up the line. I get home- check sandwich- 2 tiny pickles. Two. Now I don't claim to be the smartest individual on the planet but the last time I checked- "lots" implies more than two. Someone dipped below the bare minimum somewhere- whether it was the person who didn't tell anyone i wanted lots of pickles or the person who shrugged my request off as they made my sandwich- someone messed up and didn't care. So to whomever couldn't bother to fulfill one simple request from a paying customer who is always nice and polite at the drive-thru, I'd like to relay the folIowing message: I get that you work at McDonalds and therefore your life is probably not the most exciting and fulfilling one there is out there and you probably hate the world and yourself, but taking it out on me isn't very fair. I wasn't rude to you. I didn't complicate things. I didn't ask you for anything on the secret menu or demand champagne and caviar, I asked for one simple thing and apparently THAT was beyond your capabilities. If you hate the general public that much then maybe you should work at the DMV, since being a bitter and apathetic underachiever is your thing. Overall, my experience was bad.
