I let my fingers do some walking on the YELP pages and found JT Mechanicals to be well reviewed. Thank you Lance and Mary R. for making my decision easier. I left a message on Sunday hoping for a call back Monday morning but no....I got a call back within 2 minutes. I assured Jeff that we had a toasty fireplace and an electric blanket, we can wait until Monday am. He was punctual and came with very cute booties to cover his shoes. Jeff verified that my husband had done all the resets listed on the furnace properly and that we needed a new logic board, ugh. He then drove to the Trane Parts Store, brought it back and installed it. We felt that the service and labor charges were on par with what we expected. Quick reply, fast service, punctual, neat and clean, fair price. What more could you want? His truck says Heating/Cooling/Plumbing.

He did not like my demeanor either. He called the (contractor) company working on my house like they were supposed to check me. I'm a grown woman. I don't get checked! The company contacted them to go to my house because my brand new air conditioner they installed wasn't working. They didn't interact with me until they were headed to my house. The tech I communicated with was very professional. He never communicated to me what the issue was, or if there would be a change. We could only communicate by texting because he couldn't make or recieve calls. I didnt send him to my house or authorize any work. I don't even know what was done. When the work was completed, they sent me an invoice! Guess what? They can get it from whoever authorized the work. I'm not paying them anything. They couldn't seem to communicate with me during this process, so they can keep it like that. I was going to call their customer service department, except they don't have one. I guess that's why they have the employees they have.Seems as though good customer service in the service industry (hvac, plumbing. cabinetry, and electrical) has gone to hell in a basket. There's your review. I hope you like it!

15/10 Recommend! If…read moreI could give more stars, I would. Leo and his team at AIRTEK are absolute rockstars. They completely redid my crawl space AC ducting, removing my critter-shredded flex duct and replacing it with pristine, sturdy hard-duct--all in just a day and a half.... during a snowstorm! Thanks to their incredible work, my family's heat was restored, and we didn't have to suffer in freezing temperatures. From start to finish, AIRTEK was fast, professional, and incredibly thorough. Leo, the CEO himself, came out to assess the situation and ensure his team could do the most complete job possible and at the best price. They scheduled the work quickly, and from my first phone call to job completion, the entire process took only 2 business days. Not only are these guys skilled and efficient, but they're also genuinely great people--friendly, kind, and even having fun while working in below 25-degree weather under my house. Complete dedication. I will call AIRTEK without hesitation for any future HVAC needs (though thanks to their solid work, I wont need to anytime soon). If you're looking for top-tier, complete, reliable service, call these guys. I'm honestly shocked this is their first Yelp review because they're highly rated and well-established on Google. Five stars aren't enough--AIRTEK deserves a Super Bowl ad.

I needed a new AC unit for my townhome, and after having a few companies inspect my old unit, the…read morebest option was to replace it. I chose to work with Terrance because he was eager to secure my business and promised to complete the job quickly. To be clear, Terrance does not perform the work himself--he contracts everything out. He even lowered the price slightly, which seemed like a good deal at first. However, when it came time to pay, he added "taxes," which brought the price right back to what it was before he offered the discount. There was also no clear scheduling process, no courtesy calls, and no text notifications before workers arrived. For example, one day I came home from work and minutes later someone rang my doorbell saying they were there to take measurements--without any prior notice. When the installation took place, I was at work and again received no call to let me know what time to expect them. After the unit was installed on July 11, I had to follow up myself to ensure I had all necessary paperwork for warranty purposes. The installers also left behind a large box from packaging and what appeared to be a part from my old unit. Since installation, I have been trying to reach Terrance about follow-up concerns. I have sent multiple texts with no response and only received a reply after I called and left a message--18 days later. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Terrance. His business practices are extremely unprofessional, from poor communication to lack of customer follow-up. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who values professionalism and customer service.

I ended up calling Smiley's Heating and Cooling, who saved the day. Turns out, the problem was simply a loose power line under the house. The first company had stolen my power disconnect, which I had to replace for $500.
