Well, on January 6th I was FINALLY graced with the presence of his "highness" to install an amp and 2-10" subs in my Raptor. He gave me the sane speech he gives everyone about "doing this for 40 years" but that's where the story begins. I paid almost 3 Grand for the aforementioned setup, seemed pricey but I figured I'd give a "Ma & Paw" a chance at my money as I used to turn wrenches for a Ma & Paw that's highly respected. After installation I was back in 3 weeks because everything turned off, Jeff replaced the fuse abs 2 weeks later I was back agin and the fuse had burned through my fuse box. He said he didn't understand, ordered a fuse box "out of good faith" and this time I was back less than one week later. He has a mouth that makes you wanna test his dental plan but I played stupid to see how much further he'd B.S. me, so since I used to install music in my cars back in the day I decided to check the EQ settings on the amp which he claims they did(which they didn't) and then said he didn't understand and would order some aught wire (which he made me pay for) because he couldn't figure it out. Remember, he's been doing this for 40 years!! My music was barely above what it was on factory so I popped back by (because they don't answer the phone) to see how much more I could get out my setup. He went through his busy spiel, mind you I'd been taking off from work and taking Lyfts for these "comebacks" and he once again pops that loud mouth attitude and a says they'll have to remove the seats, (thinks my Raptor is a Dodge) blah blah blah the installs said aught wire and...almost no bass! These idiots were seriously tuning from the deck and trying to say THAT was the problem, Mr.40 Years Doing This said that. I zeroed everything out on the amp, (something they didn't do) zeroed out the bass, then begin systematically tweaking the level and gain with my scope until now my 10's are damn near hitting like 12's! These idiots will install your stuff out the box and tweak the settings from your deck instead of the amp do you keep coming back. I give a 10/10 for the installation and a less than zero for their tuning and customer service. Jeff, you owe me a 25% refund for the days I took off and my Lyft rides but charged me for the aught wire and 5 comebacks. Make it make sense. 5 comebacks and I ended up tuning my own amp when Mr. 40 years was tweaking setting on the head unit. Good luck, he's only catering to the 20 grand installs. read more

Great shop with very helpful techs! They figured out my stereo problem in my new used truck I had just purchased and they got it sounding like new and even tweaked the equalizer for me and glued down a rubber door molding that was peeling. All at a fair price. Highly recommend!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this business. I had a rush job to get my daughter's vehicle ready to leave for college. They installed a dash cam, replaced the touch screen and fixed the wiring harness to the rear bumper sensor. The workmanship was excellent, but the customer service even better. I had a Sony head unit and four Kicker speakers I needed to have installed in my truck. I took them to Jeff and Brian at McCoy Customs, and they did a great job. Post-installation, I discovered there was an issue with the illumination wire -- the new head unit's display wouldn't dim automatically when I turned my truck's headlights on. I called Jeff, and he told me I could bring it in the next day. I did, and Brian got everything sorted 100%. I mention the minor issue because they could easily have made up some random excuse, told me that it was working the way it should, or some other nonsense (like some other install shops might); however, Jeff and Brian approached it as though they might have missed something, took a look at it, and knocked it out. I'm highly satisfied and would go back to them again. read more

I went there for my 1st time with my truck which is a 96 Chevy 1500. Jeff was really knowledgeable on the speakers and every equipment that you can think of. Can't recommend these guys more. I have a 2023 Ranger that I had a few things done to and a couple of them weren't working correctly. I also had a laundry list of things I wanted done from mudflaps installed to swapping out my fog lamps. when I dropped the truck off I had a conversation with Hector who was the one that was going to be working on it and gave him the list. They called me back to tell me the truck was done save for a couple of things they couldn't do. When I got there to pick it up Hector went over every job on the list. the stuff he couldn't do was explained thoroughly and by the time they were done I was 100% ok with it. mostly due to my truck being the wrong model for what I had purchased. all in all professional work at a great price and I will be using them for any more customization I need done. Hector is an expert when it comes to installing and setting up the system for the highest quality output. I only have a 10" sub and everyone that rides with me ask if I have a 12". Jeff was awesome! I can not recommend him enough. Went in to replace my 3 year old pioneer head unit. He convinced me it only needed some repair. He was right, I had a loose wire. He told me it would be a mistake to replace my existing unit. Ended up costing $75 to fix instead of $500 for a new unit! He also replaced my headliner and my tint. Jeff is an expert with audio and lighting. I emailed around to several different companies for estimates to upgrade the audio on my boat and after a couple weeks of no responses, I found Jeff. Jeff was working on a car when I called but promptly called me back. I was going to order all the parts through Amazon and find someone to install. I already had my face plate changed out by another company and they were taking forever to schedule the speakers. I did not know a lighting system was possible. Jeff talked to me on the phone to figure out what I was interested in and came up with the perfect solution. Jeff's prices were more affordable than Amazon and he promptly placed the order. Within a week of talking to him, he had my sound and lighting system completed. He also helped with a couple other things on my boat and he is a perfectionist with detail. Quite honestly the best speaker shop experience I've ever had SHORT ANSWER: If you want quality sound. Not just air pressure and wubby bass. This is the place to go. I replaced 2 JL 10's with 1 DD 8" and it's about twice as loud, not to mention crystal clear. Doesn't just move the air, it delivers the sound. Incredible! Jeff McCoy and his assistant, Brian, expertly installed a Viper remote ignition-starter and two-way security system in our 2016 SUV. Jeff selected the best system for our needs, which were primarily to protect our dogs during hot weather by allowing us to keep the air conditioner on and the car locked and armed for brief periods during long distance travel.
