I highly recommend McClain Roofing! They did an outstanding job on my Huntington Beach home from start to finish, and the quality of their work was excellent. The entire project was handled professionally, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. Andrew in particular was fantastic to work with. He was helpful throughout the whole job, kept me informed, and always responded quickly to my many texted questions. It gave me a lot of confidence knowing that he was so responsive and easy to communicate with. I truly appreciate the great service and workmanship from McClain Roofing and would gladly recommend them to anyone who needs their roof done. read more

Great experience with McClain Roofing. They came recommended by a friend, and everyone I dealt with was so nice. Very helpful and diagnosed a problem that an insurance field adjuster and a roofer from the insurance company both missed! They have a customer for life! read more

Hired Kevin to do some roof repairs. Always very responsive to our text messages. Very reasonable price. A couple months later some edge tiles came loose because of strong winds. Kevin responded quickly and replaced tiles that had broken free of charge (part of the warranty). Awesome company, personal attention. read more

I recently had our roof redone with McClain Roofing. Our project manager, Andrew, was exceptional. He was thorough in explaining things, went above and beyond to make sure I understood the process, and was prompt in all communications. It is a family business and everyone I personally dealt with was courteous and kind. All aspects of the project was dealt with efficiently and there were no surprises in terms of costs. The color choices were aesthetically pleasing and I was able to get something that I liked. I love my roof, which is not something I would have thought I'd ever say. Andrew and his crews stand head and shoulders above all the other contractors I have had to deal with. He made this experience pleasant for me which I appreciate when dealing with an industry that can be very difficult to navigate as a woman. Thank you McClain Roofing. Andrew you are the best. I love my roof and experience. I wish you continued success and am grateful to have had worked with you on my new roof. read more

Exceptional roofing job, done on schedule. The team was professional and the finish looks fantastic. Great communication throughout.

Great workmanship and fair price. All work done as promised. This is the second time I've used them

McClain's Roofing has been in business for over 30 years, a testament to the pride taken in their work, business ethics, and reputation. Before making the hiring decision, I talked to a few of his clients (three), several of his workers, and later, his supplier and subcontractor. His three former clients have had no complaints with his work, the quality of the roofing, or its durability. Two have already referred McClains to their relatives, and all would hire him again. I was initially placed on a six-month waitlist but received a callback in less than two months and, after interviewing with them, decided to hire McClain's Roofing. The job was done in a week, and my roof looks nice! Previous reviews say that this contractor stands by his work with his clients. I feel good about our new roof, and we'll be moving in soon. I'll post photos when we move back. read more

As we are on the downward curve toward retirement, we are intentionally replacing large cost items during our income earning days. We decided that we wanted to have solar added to our house and decided that during the replacement of our 25 year old roof, this was the right timing. After saving for quite some time for this project, we were fortunate to become acquainted with McClain Roofing. Our friends had (additional) solar added to their roof by Sunergy and they recommended we give Sunergy an opportunity (our friends are obviously very pleased with the outcome of the solar added to their home by Sunergy). Sunergy works with McClain roofing and McClain was suggested as a pre-solar install potential roof replacement contractor option. It is important to note that we saved for nearly two years for this project so it was important to us to get a great value in return for all of that saving. We did not want the biggest cost savings but rather the biggest bang for our buck. We feel that we received a great value by going with McClain roofing. Firstly, the communication was great! There were options and prices presented up front. The install date was agreed upon. Everyone was on time and the project was completed 1 day ahead of schedule. We had expected that we would have some wood replacement needs (termites/water damage, etc.) and this proved to be true. McClain expressed the issues found and gave an estimate that was very fair to complete the work. All in all, no surprises, an end result that is better than expected, no nickle/diming. Just good work that we are pleased with...and at a price that we feel was a great value. We would definitely recommend McClain to friends, family and neighbors and are thankful that the last roof replacement we will have done was done by McClain Roofing. read more

McClain roofing did a wonderful job on our home. We had the original shake shingle roof and had lots of wood rot. Kevin's team did an amazing job and we were very happy with their work. Kevin was very professional and always available to answer any questions we had. We have also recommend several neighbors and friends over the years. read more

Kevin, Brent and his crew are top notch! I have 3 separate dwellings on my property and needed a lot of work. Front the quote to finish, Kevin did not miss a beat. I picked McClain out of all my quotes because of Kevin's care and information from the start. As well as their BBB and referral reputation and they did not disappoint! Reliable, trustworthy with integrity on the entire job. Look forward to referring McClain to many neighbors, family and friends! Please include them in your bidding, I am sure once you meet him you won't want to go with anyone else! Made my job feel as if it was his only thing going, fast response and attention to detail. Roofs came out beautiful! Very pleased! read more

If you want a reliable , honest roofing contractor, look no further. They went above and beyond for my commercial building and were more than fair with their pricing. I will use and refer them again for sure. read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful Kevin, Andrew, and their team are. I reached out to Kevin earlier in the year as my third roofer opinion. He was recommended as a roofer who has been in the business for 30+ years and is incredibly honest and fair. He lived up to his reputation and more. While they were backlogged by about three months, all roofing companies are right now, he kept me updated on progress and dates whenever I reached out. He communicates through text and was incredibly prompt in replying each and every time. While their pricing is better than the other companies we spoke to, it was how they did business and how they spoke and worked with me through the process that made all the difference. They treated me like a human, talked to me like we were old friends, and were honest and upfront about everything. Entire job took less than five business days and we had A LOT of work due termite damage. Highly highly recommend! Super grateful for them. read more

McClain Roofing put a new roof on my house back in 2015. The timing was right; I had the money for it and I knew it needed to be done, even though we were in drought at the time. The recent rains showed that there was a slight gap between the edge of the roof and the gutter, as I noticed a straight line eroded in the dirt down below where the water dripped. I called him to discuss it and, just a few days later he was able to work me into his schedule to fix it - at no charge. Very honorable. I can give Kevin McClain only the highest recommendation for honest, quality work. read more

My husband and I had been in need of a new roof for several years, and we finally took the leap and started searching for a roofer using word of mouth in our neighborhood. Everyone recommended Kevin. We logged into Yelp and noticed that Kevin's company had 5 stars and wonderful reviews. We contacted him for a quote and he came out the very next day. After receiving 2 other quotes, we decided to proceed with Kevin. He did not disappoint! His price was reasonable and his work was superb! I would highly recommend him for your roofing needs. read more

McClain Roofing - Roofing Near Me - Garden Grove, California

Best roofing company and family owned and operated. Great workmanship and very reliable.

Called last week and left a message. No call back. Guess they don't need the business.

Make the McClains your go-to resource for roofing. Their level of professionalism, domain expertise, and craftsmanship is unrivaled. We interviewed a long list of roofers before we got to Kevin - a preferred provider of a lifelong friend with realty properties. He cleared away all questions and concerns surrounding our elderly mom's rotting roof, and his son Andrew and helper Eli ... with the support of highly vetted dismantlers and HVAC crews ... replaced the rotting mid-century eyesore with an exquisite, sound 30+ yr warranteed masterpiece in under five days. The grounds were left spotlessly clean each night and at the end of installation. And mom absolutely loves the finished results. What more could you ask for? read more

McClain roofing replaced my roof 15 years ago and did an awesome job. This a great family run company sticking to old fashioned values of integrity and doing things right with short cuts or excuses. I contacted Kevin 15 years later after a storm to check on an issue on my roof. Kevin came by and checked m roof and stood by their work. They thoroughly inspected my roof and did not try to sell or charge me for anything I didn't need. Very refreshing to do business with such a honest company that does great job. A home inspector was also impressed with my roof and thought it was a lot newer than it is. Kevin is such a nice guy and his crew are so nice and professional. I can't say enough good things about this man and his company. You want a quality roof then hope you can get a McClain roof. They are so good that they are so busy but won't compromise they're reputation by doing too many jobs. read more

Bar none the best roofer around. One can have the most complicated, unsolvable roof problem and McLean will solve and fix it. My husband and I are super bargain hunter people but we have sworn by McClain because of the quality of his work. Lots of roofers may try to repair a little here in a little there and it all adds up and often may not solve the problem. McLean identifies issues immediately and correctly and fixes properly. read more

Very impressed. Who wants to spend money on a roof and go through the mess...Kevin and his crew made it easy. My beautiful yard was well taken care of. Everyone was professional, friendly and easy to call. Very honest and they tolerated my dog who kept getting out. Actually, they were recommended and when I met Kevin and had questions answered I didn't get any other estimates. He inspired that much confidence! Turns out it was well deserved. Would recommend them to anyone who wants a good job done. Started Monday and finished friday on my 2 story house. read more

McClain roofing is one of those rare contractors that shows up when they say they will and does what they say they'll do. The whole process from securing the permits to cleaning up the mess was seamless and required zero effort by me. They did an outstanding job on my roof and finished ahead of schedule. The owner is very easy to talk to, answered all of my questions and updated me throughout the process. His crew was very professional. If you're looking for assurances the job will be done right at the best price, you'd have a hard time finding a better roofing contractor. I've used McClain Roofing for two reroofing jobs over the last six years and have been very satisfied. I've also recommended them to family members who had received costly estimates from other roofers. McClain Roofing provided a very competitive quotation and got the business from all of them. You don't have to pay megabucks to get a quality job if you shop around. Call McClain Roofing after you've called the rest. You'll be impressed with McClain and their personnel. read more

AWESOME! They were in and out in 3 days. It was unbelivable. Would reccomend them hands down. Owner is down to earth.

No call back? Since it was raining he probably had hundreds of phone calls. Outstanding roofer and worth the wait if there is one! Kevin is the DUDE! read more

Can't say enough about Kevin and his crew. They re-roofed my house quickly, thoroughly, and at the quoted price. They did extra work like replacing some weathered wood, but didn't charge for it. They cleaned up, and left me feeling like I made a good call. The best part...a few weeks later I asked Kevin to take a look at my neighbor's roof because she had a leak. I explained ahead of time that this elderly lady had no means to pay for work. Kevin came over, saw that the problem was substantial, then without hesitation told her he would do it for no charge. He wasn't kidding. He had his crew there THE NEXT DAY. They worked all day providing thousands of dollars worth of labor and materials. Wouldn't it be nice to know you are dealing with a genuinely good person when you are getting a bid on a substantial home improvement project? Look no further. read more

I have just completed a full re-roofing project with McClain Roofing and can not say enough good things about them. After getting 19 estimates from other companies and trying to compare cost and quailty of work, I can say McClain's is honest and to the point. He gave me an estimate and complete information on extra cost depending on what condition my roof was in underneath the existing roof. He did not sugar coat things just to get the job then hike up the price after. The bottom line was as we expected and they kept me informed during the project. My solar panel was put back in better condition than it had been attached before the re-roof. The guys were polite and cleaned up after themselves each day. We are very happy with the job Kevin McClain and his crew did! read more

Tried calling this roofer a few times over a week. I left two messages, one with a person who answered the office number on his card and then a voicemail on Kevin's cell number. No common courtesy at all. No return phone call. He was recommended to me by one of his neighbors and client. I just cannot believe that all of these people had such a good response from him and I couldn't even get a return phone call to tell me he was just too busy. read more

Going to keep this short and simple. From start to finish Kevin was amazing! His communication was phenomenal and he followed through on everything he said he would do! 5 stars isn't enough! I will recommend him and his company to anyone and everyone I know! Thank you McClain Roofing. You guys are awesome! read more

Just wanted to update my previous McClain Roofing post. I've been in contact with Kevin after the completed job. He always text's me and even sent his son to pickup the check. My rolling magnet still picks up a few nails that got hidden in the bushes, but the overall cleanup was great. Would highly recommend this roofing company for their business like approach to our roofing needs. read more

If possible, I would give McClain Roofing 10 Stars. Kevin has done 5 roofs for me over the years. Residential and commercial (apartment buildings) New roofs and repairs. His prices, quality of work, and follow up are excellent. I have seen the same employees on my jobs. Which says a lot about his company, to keep the same employees for years in the construction trades is amazing. It's great to have a company that you can recommend to friends and family and not worry about. Kevin's honesty and professional pride in his work is outstanding. read more
