I've had pizza all over the world, including New York City, Chicago, and even Rome! McBride's is some of the best I've ever tasted! I still can't get over how good it is! This pizza could easily compete in NYC or anywhere else. Great ingredients, perfect seasoning, garlic buttery (but not too much), not too greasy, but not too dry either. Just perfect in every way. Who'd have ever thought to find such a treasure in Boyers? This is a family-owned place that is very casual. There are a couple of little tables, but it's mostly for take-out/delivery. Staff is always very friendly, especially the owner, who is very entertaining. Great prices and quantity of food. Only thing they need is a larger sit-down area and it'll be perfect! Seriously great place. The food is absolutely amazing with cheap prices. I got take out for the pickle pizza and added chicken as well as 20 wings. The pizza was innovative and so good. The wings also were great. The only reason this place doesn't get a 5/5 is because it was extremely hard to order. I was in town on a big business trip when I realized I needed to put my hunger meter from starving to a full tank. Searching endlessly For my next meal I stumbled upon this eatery in the sprawling metropolitan area of Boyers Pa whenever I decided to give them a call. The phone was answered promptly and my order was recorded immediately. I had ordered there large family pizza pack special with 2 gyros and had it delivered to the residence I was lodging at. Whenever I saw the delivery drivers big Lincoln pull in I knew he was a man of business and class as well. Decent little pizza joint for this area. I cant speak on their delivery service as I ordered to go. The lady working the counter and the kitchen was very friendly and had been with the company since they opened 10+ years ago. The food was done quickly and faster but still near the time I was quoted. The food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the cheese steak the bread was done perfect. The pizza was good. The portions could be a little bigger. I didn't try the meatball sub or Italian hoagie I had gotten but I heard no complaints from the people eating them. Stopped in here for lunch whilst on a work trip, I'm not from the area, this place is in a sparsely populated area (compared to where I am from) so I wasnt honestly expecting much. I was very surprised by the quality and flavor of the food. I got a full meatball hoagie, and a 10 count of the bone-in 'Bayou Lickers' wings. The meatball sub was fantastic, the roll was toasted to perfection, the mozzarella cheese was fresh and stringy, the meatballs were hot and juicy, and it wasnt overly saucy. The wings were fantastic as well, piping hot, fresh and the sauce was fantastic. I'll be back in the area in the future for additional jobs and will definitely stop back in. read more

I write this review with mixed feelings. The food isn't the best, but it's the only place locally that delivers. So what's a girl to do? The food is not horrible either. It's average. I don't agree with the other review where the guy is like "Best pizza ever!!!" No. It's not. But it is edible and while I have had better, I continue to order from them --- so it can't be that bad, right? So the reason for the two star review is not because of the quality of the food. If this review were based solely on the food, I would give it three stars. The customer service is the reason I give it a two star review. Are they polite when I call? Yes. Is the delivery time reasonable? Meh.... Sometimes. What really rubs me the wrong way is their delivery policy. There have been times I just wanted a burger and was more than willing to tip the delivery guy well. However, because my order was not $12 or more they would not deliver. I understand they have to have policies in place to make sure they are making a profit. My stance is that I order from there often and am a good customer. Usually my order is at least $30-$45. Can you not make an exception to deliver on rare occasion even if I do not meet the minimum? I get it. There is nowhere else to order from locally that delivers. I am positive though that if anyone ever opened a competing business and didn't require a $12 minimum to deliver to their customers, they would blow them out of the water. Especially since the food is just so-so. Truth be told I am writing this review as I wait for my next $45 order to be delivered knowing if I were hungry they wouldn't bring me a burger. I have been aggravated about this situation for months, but am just now getting around to writing my review. Update: Today we ordered a large pizza and the crust was burnt. I called and the girl and told her 9 pieces were burnt. She stated they were having issues with the oven that morning. She said she would have speak to the owner. When she called me back she said they won't replace it since it's just a couple of pieces. I asked her how many pieces were in a large. She said 12. So 3/4 of the pizza was burnt. They offered to refund me $8. Then they told me that I would have to drive the pizza up there to get a refund. So I am supposed to drive up there in the snow because they burnt it? That's not acceptable. I probably won't be ordering from them again. Once you get your food you're stuck and they seem to minimize your concerns. read more

I hate to do this, I really do like McBride's, a lot, their food is hard to beat. But in the time it's taken since I ordered 2 Strombolis and 2 calzones, I could have driven to their competition, 3 C's pizza in West Sunbury, picked up food, driven it home, eaten it and thrown the boxes away. As I write this I am still waiting for the delivery. Belay that, just as I was heading for the Post button he arrived. Apologized anyway, offered nothing to compensate for the delay-- when he called he said he'd be 25 minutes, over 45 minutes later he arrives with cold food I have to reheat in the oven before anyone can eat. When I pay for hot food, I WANT hot food. I won't say anything later on the quality of the food, it's almost always top notch and very tasty. Food here is almost always money well spent. Wow Boyers!! McBride's pizza is damn good!!! Crust has the perfect balance of flavors and the seasoning is spot on. Toppings are very fresh and cooked to Perfection. Mushrooms were fresh, thinley sliced, and delicious. Pepperoni was cooked perfect with edges lightly browned. The best part is the crust which tastes like its been brushed in garlic butter without being greasy. McBrides may be in the middle of nowhere but it's obvious they take pride in their pizza and it shows!! read more
