McAlister's has been a favorite of mine for decades, so I hate to say this; but seriously. This location needs help. I don't know what's going on, but every time I order here, there's an issue. I started months ago ordering through the phone app at least 30 minutes before I need the order because that's how long it takes to get anything here. Then I go inside to pick it up and wait for at least 5-10 mor minutes in line, because the drive through is a joke and there's one register open taking orders and retrieving the orders inside. The sides are half full, and the pickles have shrunk down to nothing. Service is awful. No one checks on you if your dining in. Definitely not the experience I remember from the past. So sad.

Moved into new location so you would think it would be better... NOT. The drive thru doors not take orders, just hands out orders made on line and paid for. This is great... in principle. You would think the line would move fast. Nope. I watched families walk in while waiting to pick up my order which were eating outside after I FINALLY got mine. Note the "inflation" excuse is used to increase prices 10% per the sandwich is smaller with less meat. One of my favorite restaurants is now off my list.

My "Smoky Pepper Jack Turkey" with hardly any meat.

Me and my friend decided to come to this location after church. Bad idea. I did not receive a fork for my salad nor my drink which I paid for. I was handed a fork upon asking, however, it was a cheap plastic fork that could easily break. I then asked for some extra ranch. When the server came back she exclaimed that it would be 85¢ because her manager said so. 85¢ for a 2oz cup of ranch that was not even all the way filled is abhorrent. I then realized that I did not have my drink. I went up to the counter and waited... until I finally had to nearly shout for someone to pay attention. I asked nicely for my drink and when the server said okay I went back to my table. I never got my drink. I went back up and asked again, to which another server said "Do you see we have a lot of people here? We're busy. I'll get it in a minute." I finally got my drink but that interaction alone is enough to make me never want to eat here again. On top of everything else I paid $9.50 for a sandwich with hardly anything on it. See the attached picture. I do not recommend this location to anyone. And on top of all of that, my friend traded her Mac and cheese for chips because the Mac and cheese arrived and looked GREEN. Easily could have gotten food poisoning from that. Forgot to take a picture before she traded it.

The staff is friendly and the food is very good! A classic for me is the broccoli cheddar in a bread bowl! They have changed the menu up a bit, but still with lots of options! They have a very pleasant outside seating area!

Didn't slice my sandwich in half or nothing

The Brookie is not only HUGE, but it's just so amazing. I can't even describe it. 1000/10 must have. The Ribeye is my go to. It's huge and absolutely flavorful and exquisite. The fries were crisp and salted perfectly. I absolutely love this place, and have never had an issue or unpleasant experience.

My delicious cocktail. Their take on a whiskey sour is incredible. Definitely get a Township Sour! The crawfish fondue was a bit grainy. Not near as smooth as it has been in the past. The hand cut fries are always top tier though. I had the house salad with grilled shrimp. The grilled shrimp were smaller than I expected. Flavor was ok. They were cooked appropriately but small. I opted to sub the dressing for their ranch. It was a good house made dressing. Mike and the other guy with us got the ribeye, Pittsburg, medium rare. Mike forgot to ask for the sauce to be on the sauce rather than covering the steak and fries. It's not that the sauce is bad but a good steak doesn't need to be covered in sauce. The downside to this is that they put the steak on top of those incredible house cut fries and between that and the sauce you end up with a soggy bed of french fries. The steak was cooked perfectly. His wife got the filet with a house salad. She said it was cooked as ordered and tasted great. Let me take a moment to say that their floors have some weird waxy feel and it's like ice skating. Our friend fell and everyone at surrounding tables commented how they had been slip sliding around. Dessert at Lou's has never disappointing. Their pecan pie is one of the best ever. The blueberry cobbler is amazing. I have never eaten a dessert there that was not phenomenal. Hannah also made me a fresh cup of decaf and it was such a good cup of coffee. Hannah was an excellent server and the host was quite friendly. We aren't fans of the booth bench seating where you feel like you're eating with the people next to you. The tables on the wall benches seem closer in this location. We will go back and try it again but I will go with my usual redfish #1 and see if it is still as incredible as it has been before.

But this one was just right for me. I feel like you could show up after a round of golf and it would be cool. That's as long as you don't have swamp ass, LOL. Inside is well lit and airy. There are lots of windows and it's quite comfortable. Our server was great. So good in fact, I have no recollection of them or the service. That's strange. Nothing. I can't even remember if they were male or female?!?!? I do however remember my food. We started with crab claws. They were darn tasty. Nice lemon flavor to the batter and the sauces were great accompaniments. Would recommend! For dinner I chose the Prime Chile Rubbed Flank Steak. Gosh damn was it good! Perfectly cooked, seared well, and still medium rare inside! The sauce was fantastic as well and the fresh cut Parmesan fries were a stupendous addition to the dish! I loved the whole damn thing!!! The spinach was quite unique and very good. It was like crispy sautéed of something. I must have made some noises that my dinner companion had to know about because he ate a couple slices of my steak after I was done. I thought about dessert but the boys didn't want to help so maybe next time!! I will come back here. I hope this meal was not a fluke!! I can't stop thinking about that damn steak!! '26 - 40

Some odd reason, the place comes up on my swarm app as a food truck. It's not, but it's an actual sit down restaurant with outdoor and indoor seatings. They have a salad bar as well. I loved the tea area you had black current and sweet with real cane sugar. I did their mix n match. Which entails a half sandwich, fruit, soup, chips or salad. I chose the Carmella sandwich which was good. Very pack full with meat. I was shocked I didn't taste the Spicey picadillo sauce. I guess it was because it also had mayo. I paired this with half a tomato bisque soup, was good and a bowl of fruit. ( strawberry, pineapple, and grapes) with a dipping sauce. My husband had the full Sicilian sandwich with chips. He said it was good. Prices are a little steep but it beat having something we have back home. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am not sure what apps they use in the ladies room, but it smelled good. My only takeaway was their music that was playing. Not everyone has a knack for Christian music, but maybe if they played a soft rock alternative mix and not just the one station. It's nice to have a blend.
