Very good service with friendly staff. Clean atmosphere with plenty of seating and parking. I had chicken salad on croissant with beans and rice side. My husband had Rueben on rye with beans and rice. large ice tea. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. read more

This was a quick yet delicious lunch! It was my first time trying McAlister's. I wanted something filling, yet healthy and light. I was promptly greeted by the staff upon entering. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating. I ordered the Savannah salad with sherry shallot vinegar. It was a generous sized portion loaded with chicken and toppings! The dressing was absolutely delicious, not too vinegary. I'd absolutely return here for the same salad! read more

Yucky Chicken in salad. Counter staff rude would not answer questions just keep pointing at menu board I could not see listed. Spent 12+ dollars on inedible Chicken pecan berry salad. read more

Food is not consistent, food is average with service similar. If you're in the mood for something different you might want to consider somewhere else, not wanting to leave a bad review because they are not bad but nothing stands out either in portion sizes or menu items. Decor is nice . The place is always clean! Definitely will try again. read more

Exceptional service. Food was excellent and fresh. Portions were large. Great value. Bathrooms clean. Will definitely return!

Reminded me of purgatory. The food was really bland, flavorless. Service was good but how can you mess something like that up? The price was 23$ for a single meal with a drink which was the whole point as to why I'm writing this and the ambiance was alright. Felt like I was in a doctor's waiting room. Wouldn't suggest this place. High school cafeteria food. read more

We picked up lunch on Wednesday (2/19), and were very disappointed in what we received. Ordered a turkey French dip with cheese, they didn't include cheese on half the sandwich (which we were charged for). Additionally, we got a you pick 2 and the sandwich with the combo was far from 6 inches. They also forgot the tomato bisque soup that was ordered as a side for the turkey French dip. Really bad experience here, it would be ideal to get a gift card or free entree for next time. Lastly, the cost...completely outrageous. $50 for a combo, a 12 inch turkey sandwich and 2 large drinks. Astronomic and not even great quality. read more

Oh McAlister's what is happening to you! I have been a McAlister's fan for years. Like before I ever had a Yelp account. I have been a fan since the 4 cheese griller came with pizza sauce in it! I have always ordered 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet tea. And I have always thought the tea was overpriced. But, this McAlister's did some renovation recently and it does not look inviting. At first I thought the renovations weren't terrible but then as I sat and felt cold, exposed, and rushed by the lighting and decor I realized the new decor is off putting to say the least. And our meal for 2 with 2 drinks was almost $40. I know what you are thinking they must have ordered an extravagant meal. Nope - choose 2 with a baked potato and soup and a club sandwich. Nothing extraordinary. I don't know what to think. My heart and tastebuds are conflicted. The food was good but the price and ambiance made me think I might as well sit down in a Restuarant with a server and relax. I can't say I highly recommend this time - which breaks my heart. read more

This is the best deli! I'm addicted. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and the meats I've had so far are by far the best. The New Yorker and French Dip are amazing. Especially, the French Dip with Angus beef! The place is clean, the staff is so very nice and accommodating. Service with a smile. Love this place. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Vegetables are so crisp and fresh. Oh, I forgot to mention potato salad and pickle slice were delicious, as well. Plenty of parking and handicap parking. read more

EVERY staff member says "hello! Welcome to McAlister's" upon entering! I mean EVERY STAFF!! They did that for me and I observed them consistently do so with everyone that entered. It was such a nice energy to walk into plus it keeps all the employees engaged. I liked it. I had my usual Savannah chopped salad, it's a delicious salad w chicken slices and a delicious sherry shallot dressing. Many other delicious options but this one is my trusty go to. read more

The food is expensive for wilted lettuce and slim amounts of food. The customer service attitude.

I wish I could say I like this place the food is just OK sometime it good and others it just flat out bad. The over all groove of this place is nice and modern. We went on a Saturday around 7pm, and it was nice not to be so busy... we didn't have a long wait. Workers were very well-mannered and attentive. There were several parties of small groups and families, and it was still a quaint environment to eat in. We could hear each other still while enjoying our good food! Side salad was gigantic and the chili lime vinaigrette was delish. Everyone at the table was content with the food - sandwiches, salad, baked potato... we got dessert to go. A little pricey for a deli, but we were not disappointed at all! read more

The soup and sandwiches were superb! The service was good also! I tucked myself next to a window and enjoyed the view

It's always so good eating here, the lady who took our order helped me decide what sounded best and even recommended the 50/50 because I couldn't decide between a sandwhich and a salad. All the tables were clean so we could sit anywhere but chose a booth and I swear I went to the bathroom for 3 minutes and it was on the table, I couldn't believe how fast it was. Have had food from here several times in the past decade or more. The food is always so-so, but there aren't a lot of choices for "American-style" food in LC. This is especially so when it comes to sandwiches. The best thing on their menu is the chicken tortilla soup. Which I'd give 4/5 stars. The rest, a cool 3. As for their french dip sandwich, I give that a 2, for the tasteless Au Jus. Seriously, NO flavor, if anything it tastes like dirty water. It's an ok place if you're really craving a sandwich, or if you want some decent soup. But that's about it. read more

The service here was top notch, staff are so friendly. They have the best broccoli/cheddar soup I'd ever had. The sandwiches were amazing.

Took almost 30 minutes to get our food when we ordered for pickup, we gave them the benefit of the doubt because of how busy it was. When we opened the bag, there was no excuse for this monstrosity. My turkey toastie was soggy, the chili tasted like road pavement and the Mac & Cheese was a waste of $1.49. If I wanted a side of cheese, I'd ask for it and would wait 30 minutes for that too. It would've been worth it if it would've tasted half as good as food from the Dona Ana county detention center. They have a case of amnesia in there because not only did they forget napkins, they forgot to take off tomatoes on our sandwich too. It's gonna be awhile till I go back, no thanks to you McAlister's. read more

McAlister's Deli - Mac & Cheese - Delis Near Me - Las Cruces, New Mexico

A couple years ago I dined at McAlister's Deli and enjoyed their French Dip sandwich. It's been way too long since I returned so I decided I needed to try their big 12 inch Italian sub. I found McAlister's to be bright, clean, open, and a great place for comfortable dining. Many seating options available. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Creating my sandwich seemed more a work of art than sandwich preparation at Jimmy John's and it took about 15 minutes to get it to my table. Everyone of the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. As a side item...the sandwich supposedly came with a side but I should note that they charged me an additional $1.49 for the side...I ordered their Mac n Cheese. I have rarely experienced good Mac n Cheese in a restaurant, but I thought I would give it a shot. It was really poor. This pap had no body to it and was completely tasteless. Rate it an "F." They should be ashamed to put this stuff on the table. Do yourself a favor and order the fruit or salad, anything but the Mac, when you dine at McAlister's. The sandwich arrived on an attractive white dish. The presentation was great. The fresh baguette was cut into halves and was stuffed with a ton of meat. This sandwich was priced at $3.00 to $4.00 more than Jimmy John's 12 inch sub but it had four times the meat! Inside there was a spring mix, various roasted peppers, ham, salami, some pungent onion, provolone cheese, black olives, tomato, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This was one very good and filling sandwich. Rate it an "A-" meaning between very good and excellent. My only suggestion is that it could use more seasoning. Spice it up a little. At the end of the day this is a nice deli and a comfortable dining spot. They have an excellent menu featuring many kinds of sandwiches, loaded spuds, salads, soups, and chili. I really have to drop by more often. Rate the overall dining experience Four and a Quarter Stars....meaning, very good. read more

Food is good. However, NEVER get delivery. HORRIBLE service. We put an order in, waited over an hour for the timeframe they gave us after I got an email with CONFIRMATION from MacAlister's Deli, and then when I called to check on the status of the order after it was still not here I was told they actually never entered the order in, and therefore had no order to deliver to me. The delivery company refunded the money, but here we are an hour later with still no food. SO DISAPPOINTING. read more

I was a Yuuuge fan of McAllisters and it's always been something I look forward to eating. Right sandwich, right sauce and the potato salad has always been a fave. Today was the worst experience ever with the quality of the food served. Emmy husband and I ordered grilled Chicken clubs, I always order a side of orange cranberry sauce and to my surprise and instant heart brake the sauce has been discontinued. I cried got over it but then the food came out and I was even more disappointed. My husbands Mac & Cheese was sooo runny and barely any macaroni noodles. The portions were super skimpy. He ordered a Bowl of Soup to go and was given a cup in a large ass bowl lol The pickle slices were the size of a straw. I couldn't believe how good this place once was and where they're at today. This place will not last long the way it's headed. So sad and definitely do not recommend the Las Cruces location. read more

Food is always great. No matter what you order. Long time Customer, but the past few years have shown 2 things that just don't sit well. 1. The mac n chez, Seriously, why offer that nasty stuff, it doesn't compliment the rest of the menu. Its Bland, tasteless and very un-satisfying 2. Why did you all venture to those NASTY pickles. Been few years now and i cant fathom why people want a tasteless pickle. DILL or KOSHER DILL pickle would BE awsome...AWSOME with your sandwiches. You guys arent the only ones to transitioned to the nasty pickles, ill be slamming them too on thier yelp pages. Other than those two negatives, everything else is spot on and tasty. read more

Family brought me an order to go. They are BIG patrons of McAlisters. I ordered the choose 2. I got 1/2 McAlisters Club and the Italian Chopped Salad. See pictures for both of these. The Club - I ate one quarter and noticed the top layer just had a small piece of bacon, lettuce & tomato. So I go to the 2nd one. The top portion had lettuce tomato and honey mustard. NO MEAT or Cheese. Italian Chopped Salad. I ordered it without peppers. The whole top of this was covered with a lot of sliced red onion--- not chopped. The lettuce was whole --- not chopped. This is NOT CHOPPED SALAD. Then there was a chunk of MOLDY romaine lettuce. I pulled that out n found some pieces of hard provolone- just a few. Then in the next bite was another piece of rotting romaine. EWWWWWW I was afraid what else I might find. Or possibly had already eaten. Yuck yuck yuck. I'm not going back. And I am showing my family these pictures and the rotten stuff. read more
